About Trinity Place Bar & Restaurant

A True NYC Gem

Trinity Place Bar & Restaurant is a New Breed of a bar and restaurant in Manhattan’s Financial district. The bar itself is fitted within an historical Wall Street bank vault dating from 1904, showing off the true wealth and power of its day. If even to visit our two 35 ton vault doors it will be worth the trip.

Old world indulgence is married perfectly with new world contemporary elements to create a warm comfortable vibe welcoming to all who peer through its doors.

Over size red silk lamp shades give delicate light to the 40 feet of mahogany bar anchored by Italian made beer towers.

Brown leather banquette’s hand crafted in Ireland fit perfectly between pillar of 5’ thick steel, and the mahogany wood clad dining room with chandelier compliments the menu to please even the most refined palette.

Had the turkey burger which was good tasting but surprisingly very small especially for the price. My guests seemed to enjoy their selections

Good lunch spot. Sat at a table by the bar and had salmon/tuna tartare, a Kobe burger, and glass of wine. Typical bar atmosphere and pretty good food. Unique being inside an old bank vault.

Nice bar with excellent bartender. Lunch in the dining room which is unlike others in New York. Notice the bank vault doors. Historic building with plenty of character. Will return.

We had an excellent kobe burger here; thick and flavorful, it included a side salad with enough volume to be respectable, and chunky fries. The ambience of sitting in the old bank vault was fun, and the service was spot-on. Great experience, great burger, with prices which could be considered very moderate for the financial district. Great stop after One World Tower, with better quality food.

Your place has a lot of character but if found it to be very noisy for a business lunch. I was there for a post work gathering and found the same - very very noisy.
Appetizer cheese plate was good but bread slices should be more toasted or not toasted at all. One side of the slice was soft and the other hard. My soup of the day - butternut squash - was so so and my salad did not really have enough or maybe no dressing. Like eating romaine with shaved parm cheese on it and nothing else. Maybe offer a small container of dressing on the side so people can add more if they need it. Saves the wait staff from having to run back to the kitchen when they ask for it. Also if no pepper on the table your wait staff should offer freshly ground. Coffee was very good.

We were disappointed. Saw great reviews and thought the atmosphere sounded awesome (old bank vault... wha?!). It was definitely cool inside; however the food was sub-par. The lobster bisque was gross. Tasted like dead fish mixed with salt water. Not even sure it was made with lobster... the short ribs were good but the mashed potatoes weren’t special and the fava beans were bland. Definitely could have eaten at a better spot during our 3 nights in NYC

This is a classy restaurant inside of an old bank vault. It is beautiful inside, the food was very good, and the food was reasonably priced. Service was good. Definitely I would recommend this place.

Nicely done all around. We had good food, good beer and mixed drinks and service. The vault doors add an interesting visual element upon arrival and reflect the financial district location and vibe.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner. We had drinks at the bar first which was a very nice old world style bar. Dinner in the dining room was beautiful. Quiet and easy to have an intimate conversation. I had the duck confit. Delicious! I would order it again. Unfortunately they ran out of the braised short ribs that my husband wanted. That was a disappointment. He had the flattened chicken which was good. We would definitely go back.

Nice venue right off Broadway. The bank vault doors are as cool as they look in the photos. Service was excellent, especially for NYC. We had the Filet and the Salmon, both very good as were the side dishes. The portions are not huge but not skimpy either.

One item to note was that the restaurant is divided into three different rooms, which are progressively quieter as you go toward the back. If you are there for a date or business discussion I would highly recommend the back section, as the first two are too loud for casual conversation.

One of our favorite restaurants, just two short blocks from the One World Trade Center, on the same side of the street as the Millennium Hilton Hotel, where we always stay.
Great history, great ambiance its been perfect every time we have been.

Wow - this place was amazing. A bit difficult to find with the directions but worth the journey. The bar was full of energy and conversation . The dining area (in the back) was quieter. I had the salmon and it was done to perfection. I like it as rare a possible and usually don't get it that way - amazing here. A must try!

Our dinner was to celebrate two attendees' birthdays. We actually came to Trinity Place last year for our birthdays. It is sooooo noisy in the bar area (certainly a good gathering place), but we were seated in the back where we could we could hold a conversation without all of the distracting noise. A nice touch was that our server came to our table with our desserts and surprised us with two lite candles! Several years ago I attended a lunch for an attorney who was leaving to go to California. We both enjoyed the lunch. I also like Trinity Place because of its convenience - directly across from the building where I work.

Great location and just being in a bank vault makes it special. However, the quality of the food alone, and moderate prices, justifies a 4 star rating.

Clearly the wealthy button-up suits immersed in their power lunches aren't paying attention. While they are dropping $12 to $15 a pop on drinks, their bartender wouldn't pass basic food handler training at Taco Bell. I observed the bartender making my drink: after touching her filthy touch screen computer, she reaches into a container of strawberries with her bare hands and picks them up to put them into my drink. I then watched her standing at the bar biting her nails and stroking her hair. She didn't wash her hands at any point. I returned the drink because it was made incorrectly (it was missing raspberries), but also because I was completely grossed out watching her suck her fingers. I know she is just a bartender, but she still handles food. Using a simple fork to fix my drink would have changed everything. I'm not a germ freak, but I know basic hygiene. This restaurant is way too upscale to have such low-grade employees. Food wasn't spectacular either. Take your money elsewhere.

Lower Manhattan is a mix of high brow and food trucks. Trinity Place fills a niche of good food w/o crazy prices, but a table and chair to sit at, plus provides you with an interesting decor to boot.

The staff take good care of you, and move your meal along, etc.

Note: the hardest thing is finding the restaurant. Although the address is in the 115 Broadway building, the restaurant entrance is really on Cedar Street, between Broadway and Trinity Place (mid-block opposite Zucotti Park), essentially at the basement level.

Just ok. Wasn't busy yet service was fairly slow. Server (female) wasn't bad but could've been friendlier; only one table besides us but had to look forher to run out credit card (was busy w/ side work).
The ambiance is cool-bar seemed good (we didn't sit there); food was mediocre... lobster bisque was fishy tasting, bread was stale, entrees nothing spectacular.
Picked it based on berated #1 on Trip Advisor for FiDiso was surprised at the over all mediocracy.

The food and service are always terrific at Trinity Place. This visit deserved a review because one: the hostess sat us next to the 2nd vault door. The noise level at Trinity is always better in the second room, and this seemed like an odd spot, but it was curiously quiet. A very nice table. Second, there was a party of at least 30 people in one long table who came in after we sat down. What is notable is that the staff handled the service with no visible delay, nor did they ignore us.
