Everything was very good except the noise level was fairly high. We'll be back.
Always enjoyable!! A favourite spot of ours in the valley.
Had a wonderful evening. Service was outstanding and food sooooo good. Will definitely return.
Really good overall as usual. However, my Bolognese sauce was very salty, this time. Never before. Also, if you drink your cocktails on the rocks, forget the rocks. Neat is better. Very weak drinks.
I have eaten at Trilussa many times and have never been disappointed. The portions are big, good and I enjoy the leftovers for lunch.
The big disappointment was the decaf
Cappuccino and I asked the waiter twice if it was. Well, two o’clock in the morning I know
It was caffeinated. If waiter wasn’t sure he should have remade it. Very upsetting to not
sleep with nothing to be done.
Feel lucky for having selected this place for my birthday dinner. Service, food, and ambiance were very nice. My wife and I shared the rack of lamb and I don't recall having one that tasted or was prepared more to our liking. Easy to recommend.
Trilussia is a cozy, well appointed Italian restaurant. The food is good to very good; certainly better than your average neighborhood Italian hot spot. They have a good variety of homemade pasta dishes as well as veal entrees and lots of chicken options. Prices are moderate and fair. We had a great Sicilian tomato salad (variation on a Caprese), a nice veal marsala, chicken Cariofi (a nice option), chicken Carbonara (sauce was a little too heavy, but delicious), and a Swordfish special with a Scampi-type sauce that was delicious. All dishes were served at appropriate temperature and the timing was good. Presentation was basic and entree accompaniments were basic. It was a Saturday and there was live music (singer+key board), but they were pushed off into a corner and only really contributed to the noise level. Corkage was very reasonable at $15.
Restaurant was recommended to us and lived up to it's reputation. Would definitely return. Food, ambiance, friendly service plus the complimentary glass of Ameretto made for a very nice dining experience.
The experience would have been wonderful except for one thing --- too noisy! Food, service and ambiance was perfect but the noise level would probably prevent us from coming back. Could not have a conversation with tablemates.
We really enjoyed our evening at Trilussa. We were delighted with the food and Most delighted that the annoying ( to us) live music of our previous visit a couple of years ago was nowhere to be found! Good service and ample portions of delicious food and plus the ability to talk to our friends was all that was needed. Loud music at dinner is a bad idea and it seems maybe Trilussa now agrees.
