Trilussa Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
First time here...we will be back. Food was excellent. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 for service is because no one was at the door to greet us. Stood there for a few minutes before we were acknowledged. Otherwise food and drink service was very good. Didn't feel rushed...a few minutes in between salad and entree...better than having entree come while you are still eating the salad. Good lemon drop martinis.
This was our fist visit to Trilussa. We were going to a movie at the Pickford and found this restaurant to be close by. We had no particular expectations but, in fact, we were very favorably impressed. The food was quite good. They had many of the usual dishes served in Italian Restaurant. I had the Veal Parmesan which was very good. The portion was very generous and the price was reasonable. My wife ordered Scampi which was also very good. We certainly will try it again since it is convenient and worth another visit to sample other items on their menu.
This must have been the 100th time I have dined at Trilussa, and have never been disappointed. This particular time it was too hot to sit outside. When the weather gets better, Trilussa is very elegant to sit outside and gaze at the stars. Regardless of where you sit, the service and ambience is always wonderful. The food is always great & once again the service is great; everybody is always prompt and pleasant. If you ever have to ask for anything the response is always spot on.
I would highly recommend to anybody to visit Trilussa and keep it on their list of restaurants to visit in the desert. As a full-time resident, Trilussa is always high on our list.
I can remember the Trilussa in Honolulu and the many great meals we had waterside at The Aloha Tower Market Place . . . but, alas, it closed. Then there was the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood location; that, too, is gone. But what a find here in my new home in Palms Springs. The food is awesome. And last night there was the wonderful music of Julius and Sylvia. And this Trilussa has been around for awhile and I was assured is not going anything. We'll be back many more times . . . after all, there's a wonderful menu to explore!
We were are group of four celebrating an anniversary and a birthday. We dined and then headed out to the theatre. We were very pleased with the ambiance, service, food, and the live music. When we arrived at 6pm it was a bit quiet, but by 7pm the place was packed! So glad Trilussa Ristorante is doing what appears a booming business. We will return for sure.
Have been going to Trilissa for a few years now, love the food, love the decor, dislike the couple playing music. The music is more like piano bar music and if you want to have a nice conversation during dinner, with out shouting, it will be hard to do. I had the sword fish special of the night with capers and lemon and it was very good. Others had the sausage and peppers, excellent, the mushroom ravioli and they all liked their dinner. It's always nice they offer you a choice of amaretto or sambuco with an Italian cookie for no charge. Love that they still do this.
Three friends gathered for a 78th birthday celebration. The food and wine was fabulous and the waiter, Carlos Antonio could not have been more attentive. The staff all sang happy birthday and the musical duo that plays and sings nightly joined. Just Fabulous!
I picked this place based on all the rave reviews, but I'm not sure where they went to eat, because it wasn't the same place I ate. First, the staff was very nice, but when you walk in you're hit by a literal one man band playing oldies, which was the tip-off that the crowd here tends to lean older. There are a lot of super cool places to eat in Palm Springs, the Italian restaurant with windows painted on the walls is not one of them. More importantly the food was mediocre at best. I ordered simple food. The caprese was bad, which I didn't know was possible to do. The mozzarella was mealy and because it had been sitting in a refrigerator before they served it the tomato was nearly frozen. I also got a rib-eye steak, I eat steak at a lot of places so I think I have a decent handle on a good steak and this was not it. It was cooked okay, but it wasn't seasoned and whoever their source for steaks is giving them cruddy cuts. It just lacked any flavor and looked sort of grey. My daughter passed on eating her pasta and my son, who will eat pretty much anything that isn't moving, wouldn't finish his rib eye. If you look over my reviews, I'm pretty easy to please, but this place is for people who have low standards for what good italian should taste like.
Host very rude!! Acted like he didn't want to be there! Not busy, but had to ask for someone to take our order. There were 4 of us. My girlfriend & I ordered salad & chicken marsala. Our husband ordered soup & entree. They delivered our entrees & no soup nor salad. Didn't apologize. Waitress said she didn't write it down!
Our chicken Marsala was so over cooked that we couldn't eat it. We told the waitress & the manager came over, he was dressed like a slob. Who knows if he really was the head person. We got the bill & he only took off one Chicken Marsala. We use to go there all the time & would recommend the place. Unfortunately, we will never go back!!!! Terrible to be treated like that!!!
Trilussa is our favorite restaurant in the greater Palm Springs area. The service is excellent, the ambience is charming Italian with live music. I really like the murals on the wall too.
The best part however, and the reason we keep coming back, is the wonderful variety of excellent tasty food! We often do the early bird menu which is a great value.
