Great menu selection. In our party of 8 we had 5 different entrees. All were excellent. Service was also very good.
OMG. The best shrimp and grits EVER! Definitely plan to be back! Service was amazing! Thanks, Collen!
It was amazing!
Poor service and mediocre food, no need to go back. Nothing about the service nor food was positive. We spoke with the manger -- who blamed the issues on the server (!) -- about missing orders, slow service, etc. The vibe was very disorganized, the food was mediocre and the service was sloooooow .... won't be back!
We have eaten at Tribeca Tavern many times over the past several years and have always enjoyed it -
We had a wonderful experience at Tribeca! My husband got a burger and I got the seafood pasta. They both were delicious! We got the calamari for an appetizer and it was hands down the best calamari we have ever eaten! We will be back!
Mark was a great server. Food was really good. Burger cooked medium which I ordered, caprese sand which was also very good. TV in booth not working properly was kind of disappointing. Why have one there and not be working. It was a Thursday night early and staff seemed to work well together. Drinks were very good too. Had a root beer mixed drink and a mango martini. Kudos to bartender. Great variety of drinks also a plus. Will be back for lunch or dinner soon.
Burgers were great! Kid's selections were well received. "Kids Room" and booth made for an enjoyable family experience.
The food was amazing! The staff there are so friendly and the service is excellent! Perfect date night!
Great experience. We took my dad there for his birthday with a party of 9.
Great service, food was fantastic. Great atmosphere. Kids loved the food too.
Will definitely go back. Nice bar, good beer, overall great experience.
Had another wonderful dinner at Tribeca Tavern. It was a busy Saturday night with several large groups, but our table of 4 was treated very well. I particularly like how accommodating they are to special requests. I had the Mountain Salad, but changed the cheese and asked for salmon instead of the steak that comes on the salad. All requests were honored graciously, and when the food arrived it was great!
Not impressed. We ordered the tavern nachos with no scallions. It came with no scallions but did have red onions which are even worse for my wife's stomach. Red onions were not mentioned in the dish description. When we spoke to the waiter he didn't say a word just bussed the tables and went about his way. Then I got a burger and the fries were so salty I couldn't eat them. MY wife asked for sweet potato fries and got regular fries (We did get sweet potato fries after mentioning that). Needless to say we won't be going back. I was shocked at how bad the place was. We hadn't been for a couple of years but Friday night was the last straw.
Getting seated seemed a little chaotic to start with. There was a 5-person group in front of us without a reservation and it seemed like it took forever for any of the employees to figure out that there wasn't any seating available for them. There were three employees total trying to help them, only to tell the group they would have to wait at the bar for something to open up.
Once we were seated, we quickly got a menu and were introduced to our server. But we didn't see a lot of him after that. The food was slow coming out and they forgot to get us silverware/napkins when it did come out--and it was hard to find an employee to tell when we realized that had happened.
To top it off, the next morning, we got a notification from Open Table that Tribecca had listed us as a no-show. I got it straightened out, but it was frustrating and seems to point to some serious service/management issues there.
Excellent beer as always and at very reasonable prices, especially for the growler refills. Burger was good but not quite as great as it usually is. It seemed a little cool except for the fried green tomatoes on it. Maybe just a timing issue in the kitchen. Service was excellent as always.
We booked a reservation for their Valentine's special menu. When we got there, there were three couples waiting on a table. One was close enough in name to mine to decide the hostess had called him and took our table. Then he decided he didn't want that table and after some haggling we got seated. It was served by the barman. We were not offered the special menu for Valentines Day. From that point, as long as he had bar work to do, we were not getting service. Different food runners delivered all the rest of our food and he only once checked to see how we were doing. I can understand it is busy and we were not impolite, we only wanted the dinner to be special. When we asked for a dessert menu, he brought us the Valentines Menu. At that point we were really unhappy. The food was fair over all, but there were some inconsistencies. The manager offered to comp our next meal which we accepted but I am not sure we'd be back.
Thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our visit. Burger, Shrimp & grits, death by chocolate. Waiter was on target and we agreed he was one of our favorites.
Food was fantastic and the service was great as well!
Daddy Daughter Dinner
Tribeca is a good place to eat, but it's very noisy, they need to tone it down. It's very hard to hear if you can hear alright, but if you have any type of hearing issues, it's not a good place to be. I think that it would also be much better if they took some of the TV's out of the place, or at least have one dining area that is free of them, not everyone want to watch TV while dining out.
We took the family to Tribeca Tavern for dinner after picking them up at the airport on a Saturday night. The noise level was very high and the service was very slow. The food is pretty good, but it doesn't make up for poor service and a noisy environment. I have been there on other days of the week at different times, and it was much better. I will not go back on a Saturday night.
The food was good and we had a great time. We will definitely return.
A wonderful evening of food, beer and bourbon with our daughter and son in law
Group of 7 met for dinner. Most of us had eaten at Tribecca before. Food and atmosphere were very good but wait service was lacking. Bar service before we sat for dinner was good but for some reason our waiter did not hold up the normal high standard of this restaurant. Water glasses were not kept filled, and waiter brought checks without offering additional drinks or dessert. When we asked about dessert options, he was not enthusiastic about explaining the choices and didn't apologize for not offering it previously. He also confused 2 of the checks twice and accidentally charged one person's credit card with another table's bill but caught the mistake and told us what happened. All 7 agreed that service was disappointing.
Great service
We have been to Tribeccas many times before. Hopefully this meal was just an aberration but if not they are in deep trouble. My appetizer of fried green tomatoes had way too much balsamic on it which overpowered them. My main meal was a very chewy filet medallion while my wife’s tuna was very over cooked. The topper was our dessert which was supposed to be blueberry cheesecake. It was a flat odd looking thing that looked a bit like a tart and of course it was smothered in balsamic once again. One bite and we declined it. They were gracious enough to offer us a new desssert which was a lot better. However this should NEVER have made it out of the kitchen. I don’t know if they have lost their cook or something else but we will not be back anytime soon.
Only complaint was that the service was a little slow. Was a busy Saturday night and the manager had to help out the waitress.
We chose Tribeca Tavern for a get-together with a couple dear friends. We love that Tribeca uses a lot local and NC sourced foods. The burgers are delightful and creative. Being vegetarian, it's nice there's always a couple awesome entrees on the menu that are meatless. I chose the sweet potato quinoa as my meal. Flavorful, great texture and a excellent balance of spices. Our companions enjoyed their gourmet burgers. Our server was excellent. Overall a great evening.
They have added a Sunday brunch menu that was very minimal. We were disappointed with the menu options
Great burger. My only complaint is that the menu listed on Open Table is not the menu in the restaurant.
New Year's Eve dinner
Everything was excellent!
Thank you!
The burgers are fantastic - would highly recommend them to anyone who loves a fresh ground burger, cooked to order. The toppings they offer are unique and their specialty burgers put the flavors together perfectly. We had the "Chip App" to start - had a kick and a bit little salty, but all together was tasty. We tried several of their beers - be sure to ask about the seasonal taps! Can't wait to go back and try something different!
After church dinner. The food was good and the ambiance pleasant. Holiday season so restaurant was busy and a little noisy. Still suggest a menu update with Prime rib as a regular menu item. Additional grilled Pork chops would be nice,
This was my first time at Tribeca - I have to say I wasn't really impressed - it just seemed like a overpriced beer and burger joint
We used to be regulars at Tribeca Tavern but then had a series of not so good experiences and hadn't been back in awhile . We tried them again for a graduation party and we're very pleased. Food and service were great and we had a nice experience. We'll be back again.
Great prices and good food but very long wait for our dinner to arrive.
I love this place! It has a great bar area and several dining areas. There is a fireplace in one room and they put parties with kids in a separate dining area when possible. This works great when we have kids with us.
They have a great variety of good food for any palate or needs.
I thought the music was a little too loud, but I'm one of the people that don't need any background noise in a restaurant. However, other than that, the food was great and the service was great. I had never been there before and it was a great place to have a business lunch.
Not a great experience. Staff had too many tables so service really suffered, manager came by and told us that our server had gotten extra tables at the beginning but never came back to check on our service. My wife's order was incorrect and we decided to take the incorrect meal as it would have held dinner up for everyone else. Server apologized but didn't comp the meal or provide any thing like a dessert. Just not a good experience.
Great food! Good value! Attentive server!
I recommend the fried mac and cheese balls as an appetizer!!
Our final dinner with our kids and grandkids. The service was fast and our waitress (Kayla) took real good care of us. The food was hot and tasty and they brought me a "birthday" cheesecake that was very very good. Thanks for a great time.
