First class as ever - our second trip here in a week of visiting the City from overseas.
This place has a timeless charm and the perfect amount of casual formality.
Have not been back for a few years. I left a little disappointed. Steak tartare terrible, soupy mess. Restaurant could use some adrenaline!!
A great kitchen and a GREAT service staff. I am always happy to return and definitely recommend Tribeca Grill to friends.
Great spot. Food was amazing but we felt the entree portions were a bit small. Get an appetizer for sure.
The best gasbacho soup we have ever had. Great pasta dishes too.
I’ve been coming to the TriBeCa Grill for over 20 years now, whenever in town from overseas (I live in the UK). It’s long been my favourite restaurant anywhere in the world and I’ve celebrated several birthdays here.
Originally I sought it out for it’s Robert De Niro connection (I’m a big fan) but this place has a timeless charm all of it’s own. The service is always excellent, polished but not stuffy and always helpful. The food is top drawer and the wine list is extensive (to say the least!). And the ambiance just has to be experienced.
Please change nothing about this gem.
We’ve known of the Tribeca Grill since they opened 29 yrs ago, but only after moving out of the city and then returning did we finally decide to celebrate Father’s Day there. Thrilled to learn it was a direct shot from our W66 St apartment on the number 1 train and we arrived moments before our 7 pm reservation.
Only one Rose wine selection available by the glass but it was lovely.
The Queso Fundito was spectacular, especially sinful after a month on WW.
My wife ordered the Roasted Amish Chicken ant it was “ok”
I ordered the Diver scallops with broccolini, almonds and capers. Obviously the cook that night did not know you dry the scallops and develop a sear in butter. They were pale and damp. No one also advised that capers are meant to have their brine rinsed off before adding to a dish.
While waiting for dinner to be served on no less than three occasions, our waitress asked if I’d like another glass of Rose.. Each time my reply was:...”with dinner”. Dinner came , I then asked for the Rose... and waited.. slowed my eating further hoping to receive the wine , to then be told the bartender had to go get another bottle from downstairs
Ten minutes later our waitress advised that none was cold and would I like it served over ice..NO THANK YOU..
I ate the rest of my now cold, overly salty diver scallops.
Trying to keep it light, we decided to share the Chocolate cake..
It is unfortunate that the chocolate cake had obviously taken up the refrigerator space instead of the Rose!
Disappointed on Father’s Day after 29 years
Service was very slow, despite the restaurant being quite empty. Seemed to take about half an hour between ordering drinks and then being served, and an hour in between ordering and the entrees coming out. Food was great though.
food menu is very poor.
goat cheese omelette was terrible.
very expensive for the quality of the food.
Great casual setting in a beautiful neighborhood. Server was attentive and had a strong knowledge of the menu, so she was able to make some terrific recommendations. Would visit again!
Amazing food and staff. The food was well worth the price
Always a pleasant experience. Creative menu always well prepared. Great setting.
Excellent new menu!! Highly recommend for any occasion. Consistently great food!
Tribeca Grill is consistently good. It has wonderful food and service and the "vibe" of what you would expect in Tribeca. Despite its popularity for so many years, there is nothing old or tired about the restaurant and is grown even better over time.
We were sitted next to the toilets door although it was quite empty. Also the desert was below expectations... And the food as well.
Their most famous appetizer, forbidden black rice, was too salty and the rice felt so raw. The onion rings were good, but too salty as well. The campanelle verde bolognese and american wagyu sirloin were pretty good.
It’s not often where 5 people in a party even just enjoys their meal let alone raves about it. That was Tribeca Grill. The food was phenomenal. Even better? The service. We made a last minute reservation and were seated right away. They were happy to have us and didn’t rush us to finish even though we were the last table in the restaurant. I wish every restaurant put in the effort like Tribeca Grill. A new favorite and a must when we get back to the city.
It was a very very nice dining experience. In most cities would be higher. NYC is a very competitive market. However dollar for dollar I would say it is at the top
Really good food and drinks. Great for a business meal
Super restaurant. Les serveurs sont super gentils et la nourriture et délicieuse. Juste un peu triste de ne pas avoir rencontré Robert De Niro
This was our fourth time at Tribeca Grill and by far the absolute best meal we have ever had! Everything from the wine and appetizers to the encore of swordfish was truly outstanding! Don’t forget the banana tart for dessert! It’s been on the menu since the restaurant opened 20 years ago! Highly recommend for any foodies out there!
We had dinner with 4. It was the second time in the week, as our first time was very positive alltogether.
Coming from Europe we always experience the loud atmosphere as a bit too much, so for the NY standard sound is probably moderate we experience it as a bit too much. It is the same with the airco, we are not used to it and have to wear a light sweater or longsleeves to protect from the cool air stream.
This said the staff is very friendly and at your service. That is much appreciated compared to Europe equivalent :-) The food was fine an diverse, the wine list very impressive with both the overrated and very expensive stars as very fine producers from many regions at very affodrable prices. Being a wine producer from Loire Valley, we always enjoy to discover wines from elsewhere. We enjoyed a marvellous fresh and crisp Riesling from Austria. It was pefect with squid and scallops. May thanks for the evening.
Superb! Lovely and Attentive Service!
Nice Place. Good food. Friendly service. We come back soon.
Unfortunately we arrived at 4:30 expecting an early dinner, but they serve a lunch menu :(. So of the limited choices I ordered the Caesar Salad as an app and the Campanelle verde bolognese as a main. My wife ordered the spring pea salad and the Chitarra Putanesca. The Caesar salad was only mediocre. It was actually too big and had too much dry Parmesan piled on top. The dressing was nothing of note however, which is what Caesar salad is all about. This is why the food rating was 4⭐️ instead of 5⭐️.
The campanelle pasta bolognese was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten. Beautifully proportioned, amazing flavor and pasta cooked to perfection.
The pea salad was a huge hit with my wife who said she would try to recreate it at home and she loved the clearly fresh made pasta and the putanesca with pine nuts on her dish.
I look forward to a return visit with the full dinner menu available and will avoid the Caesar next time!
Excellent food, service and ambience. I was aware the wine list was on the pricey end before I went there; it is but with an excellent selection of lovely wines - very much worth it! The staff are so lovely, our waiter of Angel was just incredible and looked after us so well. To top it off, the food was delicious. One person at our table was gluten and dairy free and was able to be accommodated without any issues. Excellent dining experience!
We came to see the art work
We were very impressed
We had lunch there on Sunday of Memorial day weekend and enjoyed it so much we did dinner there that night. We had a caesar salad, very nice. I had sword fish with fennel and a spring onion puree that was fantastic. The brussel sprouts are so good, I would highly recommend you try them. My partner had an acorn squash entree that was also very good. The service was great. Just a great dinner in Tribeca.
An iconic restaurant that's fun and delicious. The food's great and the service is excellent.
I love TriBeCa Grill. I had perfectly cooked salmon, with crispy skin and a perfect moist pink middle. It was served on a very flavorful tabbouli. I asked for the creme fraiche on the side. It’s usually served under the fish and takes away from the crispy skin (which I love). In fact you don’t need the creme fraiche at all. My friends had juicy burgers and crispy fries. A delicious dinner with one exception. We were in a corner and there was a noisy large party next to us. I wish we had asked for a different table. The place was nicely crowded but not packed.
Great service and the food was amazing I recommend the scallops
The food here is always reliably good. Nice atmosphere and the restaurant is large enough that you don’t feel like you’re packed in there like a sardine.
For lunch, I had the salmon and my business associate had the scallops. We shared the Brussels sprouts. All delicious! Save room for dessert- the strawberry and rhubarb Vacherin was light and refreshing- something different. Service was outstanding- our server was helpful and attentive. Don’t miss the artwork by Mr De Niro Sr. And I understand I may have passed by Mr. Robert De Niro on the way in - he was heading out. Superb! One of my best meals in NYC- a must for all!
The restaurant is nice and service was great. Side dishes were good. Food was mediocre and overpriced and the wine list is extensive. However the wines are the most overpriced I have seen in NYC so far. Locanda Verde next door (same owner) is much better in terms of food and wine. Would not recommend this due to poor price/quality experience. Wolfgang's, Cut and American grill are much better options.
While the place was fairly empty, because I took a friend right when they opened, service was unexpectedly poor. I asked 3 times for a straw and had to find my waiter another 2 times. The food was good and ambiance, great, but there are better places to go in NYC
Was for my birthday unfortunately very quiet at lunch but the staff could not do enough for us. From the excellent sommelier to the front of house and the wonderful Angel . Food was fab wine was better . Think it would haven livelier in the evening but typically we went to a baseball game that got cancelled!
Up to its reputation, a wonderful food haven on a cold, rainy night. Superb papardelle with rabbit confit, along with moist plain old chicken. Can’t be beat!
Mother’s Day weekend celebration. Was great!
