Tribeca Grill Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to its hype. The rib eye for two was served cold and for such a tender meat when we sent it back to be warmed it only further compromised the dish. The other sides- Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were also cold. The servers were nice and the wine was good but I would Probably not recommend this spot to friends. Was hoping for a better experience given the reputation. Oh well!
We were celebrating my daughter’s college graduation. I put it on the reservation and everyone mentioned it! Our sweet waiter even brought her a delicious dessert with congratulations written on the plate! The food was amazing! It was worth the trip from Georgia for this meal alone!
My family had a wonderful dining experience at TriBeCa Grill. We had a reservation for 6 on a busy Friday night and were happily surprised to be joined by 2 more family members. The staff was so accommodating and relocated our party to sit comfortably. I can’t thank them enough. As always, the food and service was superb from preparation to presentation. It was a delightful evening.
The food and overall ambiance have really gone down hill. Tribeca is a destination and is remote and this is not worth the effort to go to, was quiet, nothing interesting on the menu and featuring a special where you get two free hamburgers at lunch if you order a $200+ bottle of Burgundy wine. Why would anyone want to eat greasy food with such pricey wine? This restaurant used to be amazing so was disappointing to see how it now seems to be just subsisting in this mediocre manner. Strangely, the restaurant's owner was wondering around, going from table-to-table (generally a very good thing) but how with his reputation he could preside over this uninspired food etc. was perplexing.
Great overall evening. The restaurant is attractively designed with various seating areas surrounding a central bar— much wood, booths and tables. Our server was attentive, helpful and pleasant. The grilled octopus was perfectly prepared as was a sirloin steak. Enjoyed dinner and will return.
Great Ambiance at Tribeca Grill. That, coupled with a very professional staff means you will have a good time. The wine list is world class, so you'll definitely enjoy your meal more if this is a priority. The food is good but portions are on the small side and the flavors are sometimes under-developed. Basically don't count on the food to justify a visit. Do try: the Lobster Cavatelli and the Braised Pork Shank which did stand out. The Scallops and the Filet are satisfying, but do not over or under impress. The Salmon leaves something to be desired. Desserts are executed well, the chocolate cake is the clear winner followed closely by the tart. Creme Brulee and Cookie plate were nice as well.
Our first time dining here, we enjoyed the ambiance and the feel of the restaurant. Our service was terrible. I think we saw our waiter 3 times. The food was good. I'd like to give it another try but I was underwhelmed with the restaurant.
