Went for Sunday brunch and it was as good as I would hoped it would be. Started with a Caesar Salad, something that I find more often than not to be a dish that many restaurants execute poorly, but I had a high degree of confidence that they would get it right and they did! It came in a low profile wooden bowl that allows you to easily toss the leaves around to mix the grated cheese topping. The salad was not overly dressed, which left the croutons still crunchy, and, everything was perfectly seasoned.
For my main course, I went with the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. This dish came with a side of hash brown potatoes, once more everything was cooked perfectly. My only complaints with this dish, and they are minor, was that I found my slices of salmon to be slightly overly salty and I wished that there would have been just a couple of tablespoons more of the Hollandaise sauce drizzled over the eggs for me to mop up with the muffins. The sauce itself had just right level of acidity to it to cleanse the palate of the fattiness of the salmon. In a word, the dish was “balanced.”
Along with the food, I ordered a Resolutions cocktail, which is a gin based and mixed with a ginger and lime Kombucha. This is a nice refreshing cocktail to have on a warm day.
The meal was ended with a cup of coffee that I must say was one of the best cup of coffee that I have had in awhile.
All of this was enjoyed in a lovely setting and enhanced by table service that was informed, discreet and had a nice efficient flow to it, making for my brunch to feel ever the more leisurely, which is how I like them to be.
Father’s Day - it was great and the food and wine were delish
Graduation lunch. Very good service, even gave us an extra dessert to celebrate. Would recommend!
Crab cake was delish
Very nice ambiance. Enjoyed the food.
We were given a table at the aircondition vent. Asked for another table that was in a non AC area and much warmer (restaurant completely empty) and the lady at the entrance wouldn’t give it to us. For no reason. Just that fact made our dinner uncomfortable and short. My husband was also rudly treated by the same lady at the entrance because he wanted to go smoke outside... on the street! Seriously not the service I would expect to receive.
Was just ok. Nothing really stood out as exceptional.
It’s been awhile since I’ve visited this restaurant. The service and food preparation has diminished significantly. Both calamari appetizer’s were cold. The fettuccine dishes were not warm and had to be sent back. My son’s steak was cold but he ate it anyway. The restaurant was not that busy so I don’t know why there seemed to be problems last night. The best part of the meal was dessert. The cookies and ice cream was fabulous.
Server was fantastic and the food was great.
Mr De Niro gets it! Simple menu with some exceptional choices! The atmosphere is fantastic as is the service ! Coolest joint in TRIBECA
Food and service were excellent. Varied menu selection.
Expected a lot more... maybe it was an off night.
We visited from the UK to celebrate a joint 200th Birthday (4 x 50). The staff were incredibly friendly and the service was attentive but without that constant hovering you can sometimes get.
The menu was varied and the food itself was a dream.
bland, overpriced and disappointing.
Each of us found and enjoyed exactly what we wanted, despite some dietary restrictions. The touch of curry in my scallop dish made it perfect. Starting lunch after 1PM allowed us to linger and chat happily.
We had an excellent dinner. We all ordered seafood and it was very fresh and cooked perfectly.
Great food and service. Worth a visit !!!
Consistently good every time I come to NY! The staff is great. Very comfortable ambience!
My 3rd time at this restaurant..it never disappoints.
Excellent service, food is always on point.
Bad experience, service was bad, food was bad, its was mother day, definitely need more training in costumer service, in part is my fault because I wait until the last minute to make reservation and this was the only one available at the time.
I have been to Tribeca Grill over 10 times and on at least 8 occasions I have left feeling disappointed. On the last occasion it was busy and even allowing for that, we were slow to get attention from the waitress throughout the meal. Barely acknowledged that they brought the wrong dish for one of my party. I wish Tribeca Grill was as good as its other more positive reviews suggest. Unfortunately, my experiences have shown it isn't.
This place was amazing! Food - fabulous! Service unbelievable and the ambience was just what we wanted on a rainy Saturday night. One of the best experiences I’ve had in NYC! Highly recommend.
I hadn't been back to the Tribeca Grill in a long time and was disappointed in the service and the food. It took a long time to get our drinks and they came out one at a time so we had to wait to make a birthday toast. The menu was limited and no specials. I remembered the food as being excellent previously. Probably won't come again- too bad
Food wasn't very good. Onion soup had no onion at all. Fried calamari almost sent me to the hospital, and the pasta was not "Al dente". The location is good as well as the service, but would only recommend it to get some drinks since food is very bad.
Good: waitress and staff were exceptional
Entree was delicious and served quickly
Seating was available when we wanted
Restrooms were clean
The not so good:
Music was loud and seemed inappropriate for venue (Like pop music, Justin Bieber)
Dessert was okay but not great
Seemed like a lot of staff but little supervision. Staff was dancing behind the bar but it wasn’t very busy.
Decor a little dated.
Service was very good however.
We really enjoy The Tribeca Grill. The food is consistently delicious with good options for a range of eaters. Service is impeccable. In nice weather, there is outdoor seating. Brunch is a favorite time there although dinner is great as well. When we arrived this time. we were greeted with some puzzlement as they thought we had already been seated! It seems someone looked at their reservations list and said they were us to get a table! What incredible nerve of those people. Well, the staff couldn't have been sweeter or more professional. We were whisked away to a great table with profuse apologies. It certainly wasn't their fault. They were snookered by some despicable types. The favorite meal at the table was the Berkshire pork chop. Lobster cavatelli was a hit as well. The lamb, veal and bacon ragu was good but a little one note according to that diner. The brussel sprouts were enjoyed even by a brussel sprout hater. Having enjoyed the creme brulee before, we opted for the banana tart, the beignets and the cookie plate. The beignets were flat tasting (we'v eaten them at Cafe du Monde ) the tart was delicious. Cookies just so so. We intend on returning many times.
Great service but the brunch was mediocre. Better brunch/breakfast food at a diner.
Desert fell short! Cheesecake dish was not really NY Cheesecake. Recommend the restaurant but not for desert.
This was our last treat in NY before going home. We are from the UK. It didnt disappoint. Despite not having our booking via Open Table the MD put us at a lovely table. We had a great meal and I will definately be back.
This was like entering a suburban restaurant circa 1982 - large space, puzzling menu, mediocre food. The space itself is large and relatively nice - everything else is in need of a major revamp.
Came to NYC for the Tribeca Film Festival. Made a reservation well in advance at the grill. Well worth it. Outstanding food and service. A bit noisy, so come to have fun.
The sign of a great restaurant is when they make up for mistakes and care about the clientele. My order was messed up and I ate after my guests were almost finished with their meals. I was comped my meal plus a number of extras. Everyone was apologetic plus the food was outstanding. Mistakes happen but it is vital that the customer feels he has been cared for. Tribeca Grill did this. A great place. Everyone loved their meals down to a phenomenal Creme brûlée
Fabulous - loved the decor, staff, food and atmosphere! We’ll definitely be back.
Enjoyed the location, people there were nice and it was a pleasant experience. Found the service to be slow and wasn't really all that impressed with the food. It was bland, chicken was dry and the salad (Arugula & Buffalo Mozzarella) sounded great on the menu, looked nice, but fell short of taste expectations.
Terrific ambience and food. Love to go when I am in New York!
Perfect piece of fish. Just what we were looking for!!
Always a nice evening. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is lively while still quiet enough to have a conversation.
Could not have been better - from the excellent wine selection, delicious entrees and well-informed, attentive staff - we had a fabulous evening.
