Warm. Fresh. Real. Everything at Tria... from the seasonal, made-from-scratch, fresh food, friendly service to the warm and inviting ambience was designed to deliver these three simple qualities. From the moment you enter, it is apparent that Tria is not your ordinary restaurant. The natural woods and stone, wood-burning fireplaces, art and accessories all depict Tria's commitment to creating a delightful dining experience for their guests, offering something for everyone. The menu is fresh regional American and the extensive wine list was created to provide both selection and value (finally a restaurant that provides both!). Recognized as one of the "Twin Cities Best New Restaurants" by Mpls/St.Paul Magazine, the list of accolades continues to grow. You might say that Tria, like their wine, gets better with age. So if you're looking for a night out with someone special, dinner with the family, entertaining clients, or simply enjoying a quick bite with friends, come visit Tria!

Great place to celebrate a birthday, with a free bottle of wine (value up to your age) and free dessert.

food was great! Being it was Valentine's Day, it was very busy. The wait for the food was long, but not excessive. Our reservation was for 8:15, we didn't eat until 9:25. Other than the wait, everything was very good!

We were sadly disappointed. Yes, it was a busy night which we completely understood, but it felt like our server wanted nothing to do with us. It took 40 minutes for the server to bring us bread and take our orders while everyone around us were getting their bread and ordered right away. She walked past us numerous times and wouldn’t even look at us. We felt like because of our younger age compared to other guests, they assumed we must be poor tippers (far from the truth) and put us on the bottom of her list. I also saw her cut the bread herself in the back (viewable from our table) after using the cash register. Even if she did wash her hands in the back, no gloves were used and that completely grossed me out.
My salmon was delicious but $26 for a small salmon with no sides seems a bit much. Also, my boyfriend is very steak savvy and his $35 8 oz was clearly 4 oz and dry. He was extremely disappointed.

It was the perfect place for a Valentine's Day evening out. Our server was outstanding and the food was perfectly prepared. Couldn't ask for more.

Tria is an upscale restaurant, and not one to be visited if one is dealing with a tight budget. When my wife and I visit, we routinely spend around $200 on a meal for two, including beverages. Tria is simply outstanding in every way. Anyone who works there deserves to be proud, regardless of their role in the operation. I am very fussy with my steaks; I like more well done than rare, but not medium, either. I told the server what I wanted, and the six-ounce filet mignon was prepared perfectly! To say is was delicious is to underrate it; it was more flavorful than any steak I can recall eating. My wife had a sirloin which she said also was exquisite, and prepared just as she liked it. Sides are excellent. Spinach and Caesar salads also are excellent. Creme brûlée desert also was made perfectly. Every aspect of the food was outstanding in every respect. Service was superb, even on Valentine's Day evening, and well worth a higher-than customary gratuity. The wines are a bit over-priced for their classes, and the up-sales are mildly disappointing, but that is not a major flaw. A restaurant of Tria's stature is forgiven taking a bit more profit where possible. We will be returning to Tria often. The dining experience is second to none, and well worth the price.

My husband and I combined his birthday and Valentines Day dining. The Valentines Prix Fixe menu had extremely satisfying choices. The menu had the option of wine with each course. Normally we would add the wine, however, if it is your birthday you can select a wine and the cost would be less your age. We had a 93.00 bottle of wine for 32.00. If you have not made Valentine's Day dining arrangements, I would try Tria Restaurant. I believe they are doing Valentine's through February 17th.

This is always a winner. The spinach salad is excellent, scallops tasty, service quiet and efficient.

I enjoyed the Valentine’s 3 course menu and liked the fact that it was offered for a few weeks instead of just on the 14th.

Our family has always LOVED eating at Tria.....impeccable food, professional and knowledgeable servers and beautiful ambience. We had reservations on February 10th to celebrate a birthday. Our two children were with us. I could sense from the beginning that the server was new or not well trained. It took her 25 minutes to serve our drinks. It took over an hour for her to serve our meals. We were at the two and a half hour mark when we finally received dessert. It was a disaster. The dinner could have been salvaged if the server would have checked on us in the interim, kept our drinks filled, explained the delay and even offered more bread; however, she did not do any of these things and my children watched as tables around us were served even though they were seated after us. My husband complained to a host. The host blamed everything on the kitchen staff. The server then came to our table and blamed the kitchen staff. With both of them blaming the kitchen staff, the experience became even more uncomfortable and inane. It was though we were at a completely different restaurant. Needless to say, the birthday dinner was ruined and now our favorite "to go" restaurant has fallen disgracefully to the bottom of the list for fear that we will be served by "Ashley" again.
