The restaurant was very noisy - we had a big table and couldn't have a conversation without changing seats. The waiter was excellent. The food was good for the most part. I always have the lobster spaghetti - some of the lobster was very fishy this time (claw parts). I always come here for my bday to get the free bottle of wine and dessert.
Everyone's meal was wonderful. Bottle of wine for birthday was the best!
Just ok. Just about the only restaurant in that area so might go back.
We live in the area so it’s nice having a good restaurant so close by without having to drive into downtown Mpls or St.Paul. Tria is truly a neighborhood gem. Food is good and there’s something on the menu to appeal to everyone. Their birthday and anniversary promotions are REALLY nice so check those out if you haven’t already.
I want to make a comment on our excellent server who’s name is Ingrid. She made our dining experience a fun one. Food was awesome too as always. I always celebrate my birthday at Tria.
I was so impressed that the chief made me a custome vegan option! It was very good!!
This was my first visit here and I was pleasantly surprised with the food. We were there for a business dinner. We had two wait staff personnel... one was somewhat rude/sharp... but the second person made up for it for being so polite and professional. It was so warm/hot where we sat.
Everything was top notch. Great drinks and wine. Service was the best - friendly, informative, attentive and professional. Food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.
We took our father here to celebrate his 75th birthday. The calamari is the most delicious we have found in the metro area. French onion and wild rice soups were Delish! Service was very good. They have awesome birthday specials!
The food here is always terrific, service efficient. Awesome desserts
It was a wonderful intimate experience.
Our service for a group of nine was not the best. We had two waite staff and it was hard to get their attention and the delivery of orders was not the best. I would hesitate to bring a group again.
One of our favorite restaurants
Wait staff was very friendly. The meal isn't cheap but you get what you pay for and all of our meals were delicious.
Tria was recommended as a special place to go for our 45th anniversary and they were so right! Our server was excellent, he definitely made us feel like it was a special occasion! He acted and looked professional, he was personable, attentive and helped us to make a selection that we both thoroughly enjoyed! My husband loved the lobster spaghetti and for me, it was the best steak I've had in many years! We will and have already recommended Tria for a wonderful dining experience!
I came for my birthday- although the meal was very good andvthe service excelkent the bottle of wine supposedly equal to my age was no way a $70 bottle- i could buy and have bought the same one at total wine for$20. Just offer a free bottle and dont try to scam on the price- that would be a nicer overatur and you still have paying customers for dinner
Very enjoyable Easter brunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
We went to Tria on Easter; we needed a place with a sit down brunch. Since we have dined there before, we knew what to expect. We had a lovely baked ham meal and wonderful dessert. Our server was terrific. We had a wonderful experience. Tria also offered a buffet brunch but we were so happy they also offered the sit down brunch.
Family joined us for an Easter brunch get together. They hadn't been to Tria and liked it very much. Food was great, server was outstanding. We were seated in a corner by the patio doors which was nice and quiet and we could carry on a nice conversation without being loud.
We were there for Easter brunch. The menu included a lot of great options. We were offered free OJ, champagne or a mimosa. Very nice touch. After being here a number of times, we really recognize what a special place this is. Our food was excellent and the service was top notch.
My food was delivered close to cold but due to timing could not send it back. Had lobster, baked potatoe and asparagus—all too cold.
We loved our food! Also, no wait - our table was ready for us immediately
Wonderful birthday dinner with my husband. It was very nice! Delicious food enough for lunch the next day! Wine was wonderful! Thank you for the great birthday dessert!!
We arrived on time to celebrate a special occasion, & were immediately seated. The wine was very good & the Crab Cakes were GREAT. Diner was average, my Chicken Pot pie was mostly gravy and the biscuit topping (light & fluffy) was not completely done. Service was average. Noise level from nearby dinners was quite annoying. will probably not go back.
My husband and I enjoyed my 60th birthday here. They made us feel so special. Since we were there for my birthday we enjoyed wine and desert. Our wonderful waitress was so entertaining and made us laugh and gave us good advice about the food and wine.
We will be back. We will bring friends! Oh, and the duck was divine!!
We had four in our party and were treated like queens. The waitress was so professional and customer service was beyond perfect. The food was delicious. We will be coming back this weekend again for my birthday celebration.
We had a lovely night celebrating our friend's birthday. Food was wonderful and our waitress was the best.
Excellent choice and promotion for a birthday celebration. Get a free bottle of wine based on your age. The food and atmosphere are excellent as well. A nice choice for a special occasion.
Tria has been a beloved part of family dinners, special and otherwise over the years. We cannot thank them enough for always being there with delicious food, wonderful ambiance, excellent beverage service, and over the top service
Everything was wonderful. Our server Nadine’s attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. We will definitely come back. Already have a reservation for Easter brunch.
Went to Tria to celebrate two birthdays. We were a party of 6 total. Our server, Ingrid, was very attentive. A couple people in our party ordered the pot pie. When our food arrived, they realized they had forgotten one. When they finally brought it out, it was cold in the middle (not cool, actually COLD as if it had been in a fridge). We sent it back. When it came back out, the filling was bubbling hot, but the crust on top was not baked through and raw in some areas. We were very surprised to see that they still charged us for it.
We both ordered the surf and turf. The scallops were delicious, but the walleye and filet did not have flavor- not even salt and pepper. I expect great tasting food at a restaurant such as this. It was disappointing. Also, the waitress did not know her wine. When asked about a wine from Washington, she said it rains a lot there so the wine is sweeter. What? Never heard that before.
We absolutely love this place. A true hidden gem. It has everything necessary to make your evening memorable. The service is great. The food and drinks are great and the ambiance is second to none!
I have dined at Tria about 6 times over the past few years - mostly for the Sunday Brunch. I do appreciate the fact that their brunch is not a buffet so each person can select their entree instead of trying a little of everything. My issue with my latest experience was that although I had reservations for 6 made several days before we attended the restaurant, we waited over 1 hour and 45 minutes before our food arrived. We were given water, the french "donuts" and our choice of OJ, champagne or a mimosa right away. Our server did not come back to take our order for 45 minutes from the time we were seated and then the wait for the food was another 45 minutes. I spoke to the host about the delay, but nothing was done to remedy our compensate our situation.
I am very disappointed in my experience with this last visit. On top of that, it was my birthday and I had specifically requested that my family celebrate it at Tria. No mention of the free bottle of wine was made at any time during our visit despite the fact that I opened presents and cards at the table before our order was taken.
This restaurant will not be my first choice going forward.
Service was poor. Food came out at different times and one order was incorrect. It wasn't replaced until all others were finished eating although the waitress said it would only take a few minutes. We had to remind her about it three times. Two of the steak orders were extremely small and one of them was mostly gristle. Altogether a bad experience and we will not return. We have brought customers there in the past and it was very good but something has changed (management, cooks...?).
It was my 66th Birthday. food was great as always. Service was great as always. The $66.00 bottle of "FREE" birthday wine sells for under $19.00 at MGM liquors!! The apple & ice cream dish the waitress brought out was a nice touch, even though we did not order it . But we were charged for it. We will most likely return for another celebration.
Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly. After a long delay in getting our main courses, she told us ours would be soon be there, and it was. The chicken piccata was quite good, but the chicken alfredo was not. Good salads, and good selection of beers. For dessert we ordered ice cream, but after another delay we cancelled it and got the check.
The food is good, service was slow and disorganized.
We went on a quiet Monday night for a special occasion. The fact that it wasn’t busy might have helped, but all the steaks that my party ordered were perfectly cooked, service was prompt and friendly, and even the hardest to impress among us was impressed with the food and the wine list. Compared with similar restaurants in the Cities, prices and portions were good too. We will be back!
I’ll be back!
