Tria Restaurant, Bar & Event Center
Everything: ambiance, service, food excellent as always.
This was an excellent dinner out for a special occasion. I was surprised and delighted by the free champagne and dessert they provided when we explained it was our anniversary. The food was very good, but there were not a lot of healthy options. Lots of cream and butter, so for a man with heart concerns it was hard to find menu items I could happily eat. That is my problem, though, not Tria's. My wife loved the chicken pot pie. The salmon was typical. The ambiance was reminiscent of an older style dining experience. The young French server was excellent. We would definitely go again.
It was a decent evening except for the host. He was rude and unprofessional. When my friend asked if we could sit in the bar instead, he turned to me and rudely said: "Why didn't you say that before?". I almost walked out right then. I don't think I will be back. The food and ambiance were great but the rude host was enough to turn me off forever. Too bad because I don't live far and was hoping to make it one of my regular places to go. Very disappointed.
I am going to say again, if you haven't been to Tria recently you have not been there. The executive Chef and the Management staff are poetry in action. Everyone is happy with the product they serve and they know it well. I had gazpacho soup for an appetizer. The herbs and spices and coolness of the tomatoes made for a perfect experience on a hot night. From the my husband's halibut to my duck breast there wasn't a misstep. Instead of dessert we split a cognac. A perfect end to a great dinner.
Shelly, our server, was excellent. We were celebrating a birthday and enjoyed the complimentary wine and dessert. The food was very good.
Fantastic as always.
Another visit here, this time for a birthday. Their birthday special is a free bottle of wine valued ut to your age.. smile, also a nice desert on the house.
Service is always slow but the food is always outstanding.
Everything was wonderful! The halibut with creamed corn risotto was the best meal I have ever had there!!! Outstanding!!!!
Excellent food, very nice atmosphere, knowledgeable wait staff; overall wonderful experience.
Nice food but incredibly slow service even though the place didn't seem that crowded. Long stretches made us feel like we'd been abandoned by our server. Sat down at 5 pm and didn't finish until 7:45 for just appetizers, drinks and main course without dessert.
Requested bill to be split in 2 before we ordered.
Awkwardly put on one tab.
Very disappointed in the quality of the food given the price point. Fish was dry and overcooked, vegetables were charged beyond recognition.
Always have a great time here
The sun was an issue every time a server went out onto the patio. The room we were in was 80 degrees. Other than that things were fine.
a wonderful evening with a special birthday celebration. Fantastic service from Susan.
To be honest, our last experience at Tria was unpleasant. But wanted to give them another try. It seems very it or miss with Tria as of late. We sat on the patio for dinner, it was a sunny evening and they provided us with a table that had an umbrella. Our servers were polite and attentive, wine was chilled perfectly and our seafood Louie salads and flatbread's were delicious. Completely different experience than previous, we were pleased about that. One note, the staff outside were more dedicated to assisting/ serving than inside as we sat at the bar for a nightcap. It took some time for someone to realize we were there, once someone did appear they were helpful. But staff was scarce after being served. Again hit or miss.
We realized we’ve been overcharged for sirloins the last two times in. We caught it this time. No apology or credit given by the restaurant.
Love the food though.
Great birthday celebration l!
Best date with my husband! We had a great time. Staff is excellent.
Don't get the Copper River Salmon! We overpaid for "Copper River Salmon", and found it overcooked, and not nearly of the quality that I would make at home on the grill. To add to that, the service was a bit spotty during our visit, with the entrees coming over while we still had our dirty dishes from the salad course, and our waitress even telling us at one point that she needed to take care of another table. I know that Tria is owned by the same parent company as the St. Paul Grill and Pazzaluna, but have never found it to be as consistent as those restaurants. The food and service are not consistent. Overall, we like the access to Tria, as we live in the vicinity, and will go back. But we'll be more cautious with what we order!
Kelsey was very friendly. We sat outside. Appears wait staff shares tables inside and outside. Possibly dedicate staff to outside to be more attentive.
We celebrated our birthdays tonight in a great booth in Tria’s bar. Our waiter, John, recommended the Halibut special with a Sauvignon Blanc from the Birthday wine list. We started with the Spinach Salad. Service was great, everything was delicious and Chomeur dessert was a perfect finish. Thanks, Tria, for making birthdays special!
Always good food and great service is what we have experienced at Tria. There was a variety of menu items from which to choose, even our 2 teens found something to their liking.
The food and service were fine, but not exceptional. The ambiance was pretty generic, but it felt like an upscale Olive Garden. It was really apparent to me the only reason that this restaurant is always busy is proximity to a couple developments where people have lots of expendable income, but not a lot options.
As always, the Sunday brunch that Tria serves is great—certainly worth the drive from Wisconsin. We were there on Mother’s Day and the crowd was large. The servers were stretched thin, but kept their pleasant demeanor; service was slow though. The Morgan’s Breakfast was tasty and a bit overwhelming in size, even for my husband. The two tenderloin medallions were quite small and left me wishing there was more. But, as always, Tria does a good job and leaves you looking forward to your next visit.
Great round table in the back of the restaurant. Wonderful service and noise level was moderate for an older group.
First and foremost, our waitress was absolutely fabulous. She was truly remarkable and honestly could motivate to return on another night just to see if the food was better. That said, the food is a whole different story. Our appetizers and desert were lovely and well prepared. However, our entrees were not. All 5 of us at the table ordered steaks. 2 of them were undercooked, and 2 of them were room temperature when they were served to us. At such a high price point, it seems borderline offensive to receive cold food. Due to the wait staff and the quality of the other food we received, I would like to return at some point to see if they can step up the quality of their entrees. I am sorely disappointed that they are not putting out higher quality product at a place like Tria.
We had excellent food and great service. Have always had a great experience here.
Don’t order the steak. Over cooked and way overpriced for what you get. Service was good.
Excellent food. Comfortable setting.
Excellent service and food!
Wonderful experience all around!
Delightful and consistent. Awesome experience, as always.
Consistently good food and great service. A great neighborhood location
The seared halibut with wild rice special was sublime!
If you have not tried Tria Restaurant ever or even recently, you must. From the menu to the wine to the specialty drinks it is excellent. Try the "blood and sand" mixed drink. I had the best birthday dinner ever. Our server topped the night with excellent service.
Great food and service. Did not feel rushed. Down stairs restroom location not easy for older customers.
Prompt service. Pleasant surrounding. Good food. A nice spot for Sunday brunch.
Celebrated a birthday. Great experience and enjoyed a free bottle of wine equivalent in value to the birthday person’s age. Tom was our server provided a great experience. Food absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
