Trevi 5 at The Hotel Hershey Ratings and Reviews
Went there for Valentine's Day and can't see myself going back on purpose.
Calamari - disappointing combo of calamari and banana peppers with bland sauce.
Gemelli - Really good al dente cooking and sauce. Only two medium shrimp and two small scallops, which seems skimpy for the price. Had a similar dish at another restaurant this week and it had 5 big scallops.
Wild Boar Manicotti - I love Wild Boar and get it almost anytime I see it on the menu. If this was my first wild boar experience, I'd probably never order it again. It was a bland, soggy mess. I wouldn't have had to chew the pasta it was so soggy. Honestly, it tasted like Stouffer's frozen lasagna, minus the heartburn.
Server was really nice and we tipped well, because you can't blame her.
Food was excellent! The Italian Wedding soup was the best I have had and the Apple Kale salad was so very tasty. The apples were crisp and addition of cherries to the salad gave it a super flavor. My husband had the Farro and mushroom risotto and Pappardelle and was very pleased, also. I will definitely be visiting as much as possible during this menu for that soup and salad combination. Our waitress, Lisa, was great, too!
I received a gift card for the Hotel Hershey and decided to use it at Trevi with my fiancé prior to seeing a musical at the local Hershey Theater. I was initially surprised at the noise level within Trevi, which seemed to be emanating from multiple children in the restaurant. The service, however, provided by our waiter, Jose, was impeccable, and the food and drinks were outstanding. I would absolutely come again!
My wife and I had a great experience at Trevi 5. The manager at the desk was cordial as we arrived. Server Lisa was thoroughly professional - accommodating and unobtrusive. The meal was delicious. The house-made orechiette with lamb sausage, broccoli rabe and ricotta salata was among the very best pasta dishes I've ever had. My wife loved her penne bolognese. The primitivo wine I had with my entree was a perfect accompaniment. People I know in the Harrisburg area have raved about Trevi 5, and I can see why.
We visited on New Year's Eve (early dining) which made the atmosphere a bit more hectic than normal. Lots of people around for the festivities. Will be glad for the winter menu change as this one seems a bit limited. Service was very good as usual. Food was good but would probably not order the same selections again. We will be back and anxious to see the new menu. Love this venue in the summer for outdoor dining.
We ate here twice on this vacation at Trevi 5. Both meals had really good parts ( salad and soups were delicious ) and then some flaws ( way over cooked pasta , soggy pizza with way too much sauce ). The staff were very helpful and removed the pizza from the bill ( but not the pasta the night before). Gluten free in options were appreciated. This place had a better ambience during the summer ( we've been ) when you can eat outdoors . My main reason for a lower score on ambiance is the lighting is way too bright for dinner . Putting in dimmers would totally elevate the ambience of this restaurant .
We had a lovely Christmas day early dinner.
The hotel was bustling, as were the dining areas, but we were well attended to and the food was superb!
We have booked the Circular for our upcoming anniversary!
All the dining at the Hotel Hershey are terrific, and the grounds spectacular!
The restaurant is on the second floor and easy to find. The first people we met were very friendly and accommodating. We came 1/2 hour early, but they were able to seat us within a very short period of time. They showed us our table and our waitress was there within a few minutes. She was smiling and was very nice to us. She took our drink order and within a few minutes brought our wine. We made our selection and the meal was provided as ordered and was prepared perfectly. During our meal the manager and others asked us how everything was, etc. They took care of our drinks, water, etc. and we were very happy when we left. Thank you for the great experience at Hershey Hotel.
Very lovely pre -Christmas lunch with a friend. Yummy Caesar salad with salmon and the friend had a pear , beet and arugula salad with chicken - both substantial portions with on point presentation. Good wine list , attentive server and excellent chocolate hazelnut cake that was amazing for dessert. I would definitely go again. An out of the ordinary lunch spot for a special treat.
We came here on a Saturday when it was snowing lightly lunch. Chose a table right by the windows and watched the snow fall as we wined and dined. We had great service provided by Brian! We ordered the grilled octopus, margherita pizza, pasta bolognese, and truffle grilled cheese. We also ordered the Banfi Sangiovese bottle of wine. Everything was great
We couldn't get into the Circular Dining Room so we went here. WOW. I'm so glad we did. Beautiful setting, great service, very accomodating. The waitstaff was great. We couldn't decide on our entrees and they suggested we split. Better yet, they split it for us--no mess at the table. LOVED THAT.
My family and I have been visiting Hotel Hershey for 15+ years. We've had countless meals at both the Circular Dining restaurant and the Fountain Cafe (now Trevi 5) years ago. I have been telling my in-laws about the hotel for years, and finally, this weekend we got the chance to visit.
We all had other engagements until 3:00, so we got to the restaurant at about 3:30. The dining room was completely empty. I assumed that members of our party would order more food than we did, even just dessert, but we were all so excited to see each other, we just ordered coffees, a few appetizers, and a few desserts. As a former server, I know this is irritating, so I planned to leave a very generous tip to compensate. Remember, the dining room was completely empty, so it's not like we were holding the table up from other paying customers. Our server was a little curt, but I understood why and didn't bother with it.
An hour and fifteen minutes after we arrived, the host walked over to us and told our party that they had a large party arriving at 5:15, and we would need to move for them to have the table. It was clear that she was also slightly annoyed with us. Keep in mind, just in our area of the restaurant, there were six open tables. Either they didn't plan well when they seated us, or they were annoyed with our short orders, which are both unprofessional and unacceptable. My family and I have traveled all over, and needless to say, this has NEVER happened to us at ANY restaurant, let alone a nice establishment like Hotel Hershey.
This was embarrassing to me, as I had been raving to my in-laws about the hotel. They had been talking about staying there on another trip. The experience could have been better.
Great Thanksgiving Experience indulged in the prix fix menu - the short rib/gnocchi appetizer was fabulous (it should become an entrée) as was the chestnut dressing. The dining room hosts/hostesses and the servers are always friendly and engaging. Our server was outstanding. Well done and we look forward to Christmas in The Circular Dining Room for Christmas.
I really wanted to like this however it was very underwhelming the booth and the floor were dirty there were more hot peppers than the calamari the dinner plates were hot like being held under a heat lamp and the pasta dinners was very dried out from sitting still everything had good flavor just not the quality I would expect from the Hershey Hotel
Our dinner at Trevi 5 was interesting. We had just completed an event at the hotel and had reservations using my birthday gift from Hershey Entertainment. Even though my husband had put special occasion; nothing was mentioned.
The protein portions of our meal were awesome. Both the pork chop and venison were very good. The accompaniments were too oily and not identifiable.
The noise level was extremely disappointment.
