Best restaurant in Cleveland I’ve been to.
A staple for when we needed a place to celebrate so sad to see it go. Had a wonderful last experience and wish Chef Sawyer the best with his next endeavor.

We were very fortunate to get a table at Trentina on its final weekend. As always the food was exceptional. And the staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable and helpful. It's sad to see this gem close but I will still be a Chef Sawyer fan and continue to patronize his other restaurants.
Sad to see an anchor in the CLE go! Our final visit was an amazing culinary experience. Thanks to Johnathan and the entire Trentina crew!

After going there weekly for about a year, we are terribly sad to hear that it is closing. We will miss the food, the staff, and the atmosphere.
Trentina is always top notch & I am terribly sad to see it close. Get there before they close if you can. It will be worth it.

The New Years tasting menu was excellent. Creative well generated flavors with pairings that complemented the food. Staff was excited for the occasion and toasted with their guests as the ball dropped. Can’t wait for next years dinner at Trentina.
The courses were good, but not as many were as unique or memorable as platings we've experienced in the past with the Menu Bianco tasting menu. Really wish they'd served the chitarra pasta with botarga we'd enjoyed previously, instead of the butternut ravioli, which incidentally was the second course featuring butternut.
I don't eat fish, so was pleased to be offered seared pork belly, which was excellent until the final bite, which must have been placed with the same utensils as the anchovies touching the fish course my fellow diners were enjoying, so I was left with an unpleasant taste after all that deliciousness.
Unfortunately, I have 2 complaints. My husband and I did the wine pairings also, and despite having a female waitperson, and knowing we weren't probably going to purchase an entire bottle, she spoke almost entirely directly to him, including displaying the label far more prominently toward his side of the table. After a few times of this treatment, it became apparent to her that yes, the female at the table also knows her wine, so I did get to see the label and receive more replies about our questions.
Finally, when I made the reservations, I was asked, "Are you celebrating anything special?" to which I replied, "Yes, it's my 59th birthday". Again, when I was called two days prior to our reservation to confirm that all 4 of us would be having the Menu Bianco, I was asked the same question, to which I replied the same. Well, the wait didn't mention it, there wasn't a small card on the table, or even a tiny candle to blow out in the final brownie bite...
Makes me kinda sad that for this special occasion, I didn't choose a different restaurant to celebrate.

Food was very good, portions were smaller which we liked, but the options were limited. Service was OK, limited wine selection. Convenient location at University Circle.
I ordered Tagliatelle with seafood. There were ONLY FOUR small pieces of seafood.
The pasta was Ok, but not special.

A lovely, quiet spot for those who like very good food at a less-than-exorbitant price. If nothing else, their signature bread with a beef suet candle is a must for carnivores.
Dining room look more like the school cafeteria. The portions were small. The staff was attentive but not very knowledgeable.

Wonderful dining experience.Small spaced, slightly crowded but could talk and not overhear neighbors. Accross the board the food was great. Chef visited tables, young, engaging. Wait staff helped one another, efgicient not pushy. Would go back next time we are in Cleveland.
delicious food, kind service, friendly and attentive, especially considering that we went there with our 15 month old son. Pasta, gnocco fritto, beef and duck were tasty and not overly engineered. We didnt have time for dessert but they looked spectacular!

I was underwhelmed by the size of my pasta entree (Cavatelli) for the price and the dessert (Rittman Apple) was more about presentation that flavor, disappointing first experience at Trentina.
We went to Trentina to celebrate our anniversary which I made clear when I made the reservation. The restaurant is a very cool venue, used to be a carriage house. The service was fair at best, I reminded them that we were celebrating her anniversary and they did absolutely nothing to acknowledge it though I heard them acknowledging other anniversaries at other tables. The food is good, however, the portions are very small and it’s very expensive
What a wonderful evening and meal. The space is intimate and elegant, the food delcious! Impeccable service!
Trentina once was incredible. Sadly the quality of food has deteriorated. The pizza tasted like it was on a store bought crust. The pastas had none of the incredible flavor they used to have. The salad used to be incredible but was way too salty. Very disappointing meal.
Very close seating, we were a foot away from tables on both sides, it’s like we were dining with total strangers, not the right place for a date night

For a former james beard winner the service should have been much better. Especially since the restaurant was half empty. We did the tasting menu. Wasn’t blown away
Food is amazing. Original and thoroughly good. The only sad thing is the espresso. Unbelievable that with so many authentic touches in the food that the expected finishing touch ( a good espresso at the end of dinner) was so bad. Russell, our terrific server, tried to make it work, but to no avail. I know, Sorry to dwell on such a small detail, but sometimes the details make a difference. It was just a sad ending to great food. Chef Sawyer should really check that out.
Favorite restaurant hands down! Service was so friendly and helpful. It’s such a nice place to go for any type of occasion. The food is so unique and flavorful, I can’t wait to go back!
Trentina continues to impress with every visit. I have never had a disappointing meal and this was no exception. The table bread will always be a favorite and I enjoyed trying the spaghetti. The freshness of the dood really comes through and continues to draw me back to this gem.

We had only been to Trentina for brunch (which has always been great) and have always sat outside on the patio. This is our first time for dinner and sitting inside the restaurant. I have to say that I had one of the best meals of my life here. Everything was delicious, fresh and unique and from what I can tell, the menu changes frequently. The menu prices were reasonable, though the cocktail menu seemed a tad over priced (though the drinks were really good). We went for our anniversary on a Tuesday night and small dining room was only half full, though I would expect that on the weekends it fills up fast. I would definitely go back again!
Someone forgot to pay for heating the night we came. We notice that often the folks in the kitchen must be so hot that they forget to check on the comfort of their diners. Large exhaust fans in the kitchen can also draft an enormous amount of cold air into the dining rooms. A good chef will check things like this or suffer a distraction from his/her culinary magic.

A hidden gem in Cleveland. The food preparation is outstanding. Highly recommend it. They also offer a tasting menu that you would need to order in advance with your reservation.
Excellent dinner in a great location close to Secerance Hall and the levels and Orchestra. Eclectic menu- order all the appetizers -small and very tasty!
Ice cream options for desert are really good Excellent service and a very good wine list catering to Northern Italian style of the resto

The first tasting menu experience I’ve had. I must say the tasting menu was one of the most fun dinning experiences I’ve ever had and was truly an event. It also changes with the seasons so I recommend trying it a few times a year. The food was excellent, creative and surprising, I will most certainly go back. Trentina is a lovely start or finish to a museum experience as well, being only minutes from several.
Phenomenal service, great food, wonderful wine and no pressure to finish dinner on the restaurant’s schedule. Extraordinary l!
