Tre's Italian themed menu and wine selections make it one of our very favorite places for a special occasion, dinner with another one or two couples or lunch.
The restaurant had a fly and fruit fly infestation. I had to use my wine glass to catch the fruit flys and the waitress just responded, “yah, we have a problem”. The food was good, but swatting flys the entire meal significantly detracted from what was supposed to be a nice dinner. Probably won’t be returning.
Hard to find but once there, service was good to excellent. Pricing is expensive but most of the serving sizes are very, very large. The crispy skin trout was amazing, as was the gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream. The Nutella x3 dessert was the only small item. It was delicious.
For a party of 4, we ended up with a $138 bill. No drinks, only one coffee. The big downside that night was a terrible gnat problem. We had to keep on shooing gnats from all the food. Not pleasant.
Service and food were outstanding. Our server Paul was great!!!
Visiting form NC. Everything was fabulous. Peter was our waiter and Ryan, the manager, was great.
The food was good and service was good, just not great. I think it was overpriced for the overall dining experience you received. I have been to many fine dining restaurants and this one just doesn’t meet that bar, it is good but not amazing.
The pulled mozzarella is what keeps me coming back along with the fact that they are centrally locates and easily accessible.
Our Mothers Day Tradition. Perfect as always.
Favorite place to eat!
Wonderful graduation lunch!
Amazing food. Had a large party so ordering family style seemed a bit overwhelming, but our waiter was amazing at providing guidance and his suggestions were on point. We ordered a few meats and pastas to share. The fresh mozzarella with sea salt was a standout as well as the gnocchi.
Birthday party for our daughters
Very nice afternoon lunch with good service and an innovative menu. We would definitely try again.
The food was phenomenal, the service was great, and the prices weren’t outrageous. I would highly recommend it.
As always, the patio was so lovely and romantic. Our waiter, Paul, made some recommendations and we tried some new menu items. This ended up being what may be our best dinner ever! So many unexpected flavor combinations made this an unforgettable dinner. We are not from San Antonio, but when here, we always make time for Tre Trattoria.
Wait staff were in attentive- waited a long time between courses and they were often out of sight.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in SA. We eat here about once a month. Food and service are excellent.
Tre Trattoria is a perfect place for Happy Hour or Dinner. The wine list has notable Italian selections that range in price, and the menu has something for everyone. Small plates, pizzas, veggies, and pastas are all consistently delicious, and the staff knows how to engage with customers and can answer questions about the menu confidently. Heather was our server on this trip, and we'll ask for her the next time. She made the experience fun!
Great food and really nice patio for outdoor dining
Food was AMAZING. The whole evening was a great date night out!
Another delicious meal at this neighborhood standard. I haVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED!
Truly outstanding Northern Italian food
Burratta was excellent
I thoroughly enjoyed papardelle oasis buco and my wife thought the branzino among the best she's had
Caesar salads were well prepared
Triple Nutella dessert - dense cake and Nutella cream- was outstanding
Best meal of many in San Antonio thus far - Heather was pleasant and attentive adding to the experience
Off the main tourist area but a ten minute drive well with the trip
Very nice restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Nice bar. Food is very good and presented well. Highly recommend.
Great food and great service. Ryan was especially great with his suggestions and accomodations for our requests. Thanks!
Loved our waiter Gabriel! The food was delicious!
Was a great dining experience for my wife's birthday. On spring break, so kids were with us. No kids menus, so my girls ordered an adult entree and loved the fettuccine with corn and duck con fit. Steak, brussel sprouts and salad were fantastic! Great restaurant for a date night.
Peter was fantastic. Great food. Definitely coming back if only for the house made mozzarella.
Chef Dady is very creative with his adaptations of classic Italian dishes. Grilling the crostini makes them much more than just toast. Roasted, pealed tomatoes on the Caprese salad was a wonderful twist, and the sauce of capers, lemon, and fried parsley (I think) on the grilled trout gave it just the right amount of snap. Excellent wine selection from $30 Chiantis to $300 Super Tuscans.
Excellent service but the trout was not cooked. Brought most home to complete cooking.
Paul was excellent
had a lovely dinner with Family on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was quite, but that may have been because of the major TV event that evening. As always the food was delicious and excellent service. I would recommend Tre for a enjoyable upscale Italian experience, particularly for large groups or Families who can take advantage of the sharing plates from the Family Style menu.
We had dinner with friends and it was wonderful and lots of fun! Great setting and outstanding food. Our server, Paul, was very good and well informed. He made out experience very enjoyable. The trout was probably the best I have ever had...it was outstanding. And, the salmon was also great. Great evening...great food and wine!
Our server Christian was awesome. He was very attentive and accomodating. He was able to answer all of our questions and helped us have a very special dinner. The food was over the top fantastic. Kudos to the chef. Many of our friends were told about the dinner and several have ssid they would love to go. Thanks again for the wonderful night.
Excellent food, superior presentation, and attentive service. Perfect evening.
Food was good but served cold. Service was marginal.
We both enjoyed the overall experience, the waiter was very polite and professional , the hostess who greeted us was very nice as well as the ambience, which was superb. I was very very impressed with the food and the taste and just the overall experience was a wonderful night out for us
Unusual menu, which I loved, and when my husband asked for a plainer dish the chef came out of the kitchen to listen, and returned with a complete winner. The waiter was very knowledgable about the food, and was able to pair my gnocchi with a good 3-variety blend.
Just went to this place for the first time. A unique take on Italian food and a great mixed drink menu. The service was fast and friendly as well.
The staff was friendly and the food was very good. My only comment would be that when my wife and I arrived there was a table with family of 6 and although the children were well behaved, I would have preferred a table away from the family. We did not ask to sit somewhere else, as I noticed others did as they were being set in our area, so I'm sure they would have moved us if we had asked. I would suggest that the hostesses be more in tune with sitting couples next to family table areas.
Food (we had risotto and gnocchi) was not presented well, and tasted worse. Gnocchi was like undercooked French fries, and risotto was COVERED in salt.
Service and ambience were good, but not worth the risk of going back when there are so many great and reliable places in town.
Awesome service and food for a delightful business lunch
