My wife and I had CONFIRMED reservations for Friday, January 12 @ 6PM for a special occasion. We arrived several minutes before reservation time. But when we showed up, Tre Piani was CLOSED!! Lights out---door locked! What a huge disappointment!! We were in shock! What kind of nonsense is that?

They were closed. They sent me numerous reminders of my reservation and when I got there there was a note on the door that they were closed. No explanation. I was meeting an out of town client We each had ubered there and had to find another uber and another place. Very embarrassing

A business reservation was made at Tre Piani and when we showed up, the restaurant was closed!!! I called several times prior to our team showing up for lunch and no one answered. There was no message saying they were closed. It was a very bad experience for our team.

I made a dinner reservation here to meet with my sister who was visiting from out of town (Maryland). We drove over an hour from northern NJ to have dinner at Tre Piani. However, upon arrival the restaurant was closed with only a handwritten note on the door with no further explanation as to why they were closed.

We also made a reservation earlier in the week which was canceled by the restaurant due to the snow & ice, however, we were notified via email and received a voicemail indicating that the restaurant was closing early due to the weather conditions (which is completely understandable as the roads were very icy that day).

However, when I made the second reservation, I did not receive a call nor a cancellation email as I did previously. I am very frustrated and disappointed that we were not notified in advance and had to make a 2+ hour round trip for nothing. I reached out to the restaurant and still have not received a response. We were really looking forward to having dinner here (hence why we made two reservations) and were left very frustrated and disappointing due to the lack of communication and without any followup explanation.

We both chose a special of lobster tail, shrimp, clams in a garlic white wine sauce over angel hair pasta. The meal was absolutely delicious and we both ate every morsel. Good service! A nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc...a lovely evening.

Where to begin. My wife and I have gone here several years in a row for New Year's hand the waitress for our table was outstanding the maitre d was himself fairly friendly the food portions were excellent if a bit small.

However there were a few concerns. Firstly the large dining space was not properly heated so with sub-zero temperatures we ate in a 45 or 50 degree environment. Then of course there was the staff while I will again say that our immediate wait staff was excellent the secondary staff was not.

Nothing of course beats the Dinner Show which consisted of a couple of Russian waitstaff berating some Junior wait staff well sitting next to the only space heaters in the establishment. The same woman who was happy to berate their staff was perfectly happy to lay into me while placing a reservation confirmation.

We also got to see the same woman almost maliciously ignore three other guest, most notably an elderly woman who was alone on New Year's Eve who could have just simply have been offered warm tea.

Went here for New Years Eve. Should have listened to the reviews!! When we got there, we waited a good 10 minutes for the hosts to decided where to seat us. The waiter was good and attentive. The food was bad, ordered a Caesar salad and there was way to much dressing on it. Then for dinner I order the arugula, mozzarella, and lemon sauce pizza. The pizza was so lemony that’s all you tasted. The bottom of the pizza was soggy and gross. The top of the pizza had what it seemed to be a whole bag of arugula. Would not go back! Terrible experience!

We had a reservation for a business lunch and were seated immediately. We ordered within 10 minutes of being seated but had to wait over 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. The food was good but not amazing, and certainly not worth the wait. My salad was good but the greens were wilted (not intentionally so); the chicken was fine but a bit overdone/tough. My colleagues' meals similarly seemed okay but not worth the long wait.

On the plus side, it was a nice setting for a business lunch in that parking was easy. There was a nice sized crowd in the restaurant but it was not noisy.

We went with a good size group of friends and have been here many times in the past so we were quite confident that we were were in for a good evening. However we were very disappointed as the quality of the food had fallen down rather badly. Calamari was overcooked and the lasagna was terrible (embarrassingly bad for an Italian restaurant - burning the lasagna!).
Service was very good.

Absolutely horrible.
We came in at 530pm on a Thursday night and left 2 hours later and were the only customers in the entire place.
When this place first opened I came here frequently and it was fabulous.
Haven’t been here in over a year and it’s clear that it must be ready to shut its doors forever.
Our waiter was drunk.

Stay away.

We dined at 5 pm and we were the only ones there. The service was extremely slow and the server wasn't very attentive. We eventually had to call him over to find out where our entrees were since others, who came in much later than we did, were served and ours were nowhere to be found. We were told they had a large party to get out. Then why were other diners served before us? I had the pignoli crusted scallops and the nuts were charred which gave a bitter taste to the dish. Not a great experience, and certainly not for the prices that were charged.
