We enjoyed our evening at Tre Lune immensely. Dinner was delicious; service was excellent, and we were so very happy to be there after such a challenging and difficult time for our community. We've been to Tre Lune before and will definitely visit again...!
Always a great night at this wonderful Italian restaurant. The food quality is high and never disappoints. The wait staff is well trained, but we did have a so so waiter this last time. Usually never an issue and the waiter always adds to the evening. Would love to go again.
We had a wonderful dinner from beginning to end. Local stone crab claws (I didn't know there is such a thing), served chilled with a sauce were big and delicious. For the main course, our waiter gave me a helpful nudge toward the veal shank braised with porcini mushrooms and I'm glad he did--it was delicious. His wine recommendations were spot on too. My daughter loved her fettuccini with lobster. I'm looking forward to going back when in Santa Barbara.
The service on the terrace that evening was terrible. Not sure why? Dinner came very slowly, our waiter was frequently MIA, and we had to ask multiple times to get things like more water or a shim to level the table. At an expensive restaurant you expect better.
This is an outstanding Italian restaurant, the noodles are light and delicate, the preparations are par excellent. The breads are wonderful. The lamb ragu lasagna is one of the best around. They've raised their prices, but the quality of what you get makes it well worth the extra cost. The only outlandish thing is their corkage fee, which is $30, though the prices of the wines on the wine list are also quite high. If you bring wine, make sure it is something unique and special. They are one of the few restaurants that have Fantinel Brut Rose Prosecco on the menu which is one of the best from Italy. Reservations would be highly recommended if you plan on eating after 6:30 PM. Well worth returning to and is a favorite among the Montecito locals.
It was a special birthday lunch and it was outstanding. The osso bucco was spectacular - best ever. The honoree who loves this entrée and was a prime reason for choosing this restaurant, pronounced it the best ever. The service was superb, friendly and attentive and yet not intrusive. Altogether, it was simply perfect!
There were four of us and they gave us a special window table and added a fifth seat for a latecomer with no fuss! We all had different beautiful pastas after crab claws and our favorite CRESCIONE salad. We shared a Whitefish special that was perfectly cooked and had some togo's also. Our waitress was great which made this special occasion very pleasant for our family! We eat here regularly and love the family neighborhood feel of this restaurant. We always see friends and star sightings too. Always a treat and they have good wine reasonably priced.
Charming cafe on main road in Lower Montecito. We had a late breakfast which was DELICIOUS! THe Greek feta & spinach omelette is very good. My Mom, who eats like a bird, gobbled it up. I had Italian eggs Benedict which was made with Prosciutto, rye toast and perfectly cooked poached eggs with yummy hollandaise sauce. Sounds simple but I was crooning over this breakfast. The combination of flavors was seriously yummy. The dense rye bread was chewy and in flavorful. I would have taken home a loaf if I could! Why pay $80 for a mediocre brunch at the Biltmore Four Seasons ( within walking distance) if you can eat here for half the price and still be talking about how good it was two days later? The waiter was friendly and attentive. The only issue is parking. We found some down the street but it can get a bit crowded in this area. Don't let that dissuade you though. It is good!
Service was very good, decent wine list. Gnocchi was a little heavy for my preference, but the truffle cream sauce was tasty. Penne was very good, spicy without being overpowering. Cheese plate was disappointing and pretty boring: four or five thin apple slices laid out separately with A walnut half on top, fig spread, and some bland cheeses. For the price, I say skip it (especially for the price). Stick with the bread and pesto dip.
Overall, nice ambiance and service. I'd probably visit again.
