Tre Famiglia Ratings and Reviews
Appetizers were excellent. Mozzarella Fritti, 3 large sticks with an excellent marinara sauce. Bruschetta. 4 pieces with balsamic reduction. Crab Bisque, small bowl very creamy and flavorful.
Entrees were average diner quality. The sauce on the flounder was a extremely strong lemon that over powered the fish. Fried crab cakes were creamy inside. Lobster with shrimp and scallops was average.
It was one of those perfect Saturday nights in early September, zero humidity, and made a reservation 20 minutes before arriving. Really wanted to eat outside, so they instructed staff to bring a table and chairs from storage. The food matched the attention given. The sauce is very authentic and perfect for those that don't like a sweet sauce but meaty one. Had the Filet Mignon Oscar, which was phenomenal (but a surprise @ $36.00).
We returned to Tri Famiglia for a Sunday Night Dinner after work. The service was very good, attentive, and the food was very good. A different experience than a Saturday Night which was crammed, harried and the meal not as good. The Chip salad was tasty, fresh and dressed just right. The Tre Famiglia Polo entree was very nice also. Dessert was the canoli. A very nice meal.
We visited here with some out of town friends Sat pm. The 4 of us chose appetizers and entrees from the night's specials and all were thrilled. The food was absolutely delicious! The beef short rib osso buco was unbelievably tender and the bronzino fish was moist and flaky. We also shared the fried cheesecake rolls ( the most delicious dessert ever!) with ice cream and homemade apple cake for dessert. Our server was so pleasant and helpful throughout our meal. This is always our go-to restaurant when we are taking out friends or recommending a favorite restaurant to people we know. We eat here often and are always very happy with the experience. Absolutely one of my very favorite places!
The food and service were outstanding! Through every course, you were not rushed so you were able to enjoy and taste your food, and the portions were more than plenty. Our server, Chris, was awesome! He made sure everything was to our liking, and was at our beck and call should we need anything. We will definitely be returning! FIVE STARS!!!
All of our meals were delicious. Plenty of options for everyone to pick what they enjoy (i.e. not just pasta). I had a delicious simply grilled Branzino drizzled with olive oil and lemon. The wait-staff was very knowledgeable and professional. We were slightly concerned about the noise level, but it wasn't a problem at all. It will be on our short-list to go back again. It's very good, and we would all highly recommend it.
The food is excellent and we tried to enjoy our dinner but there was a very disruptive table where we were seated; it was obvious to us as well as the rest of the tables in the dining room, however the wait staff did not seem to notice their vulgarity. It really put a damper on our romantic dinner out. Other than that the food is amazing and reasonably priced. DESPITE our spoiled evening we will be back.
I've been to Tre Famiglia several times and have yet to have anything that hasn't been fantastic! The staff is great and the food is even better! I had an incredible meal, a porchini mushroom encrusted veal tenderloin, served with delicious risotto and broccoli rabe. I can't stop thinking of this masterpiece! Unfortunately it was one of the specials, but it was perfection!
We purposely try NOT to finish our meals because they are so delicious, we want to enjoy them for lunch the next day; and because they are so filling, we don't have to finish; and because dessert is mouth watering, as well! Tre Famiglia was a wonderful dining experience once again.
This was a birthday dinner and we really enjoyed it. We had a later reservation and we did not feel at all rushed by the staff, in fact, we did not even realize until after we left how close to closing time were our reservations! Consistently delicious food with great service!
Went with friends for the restaurant week menu and none of us were disappointed. All of the dishes were great and perfectly cooked - I requested a rare steak and it was. Others had the lobster tail - delicious; and the salmon - loved the crust on this one - was first rate! Service was also very good considering they were packed. In fact, the only negative was that it was very loud and at times we had difficulty carrying on a conversation - but there were large parties next to us which increased the noise level. Have been here before and will definitely return.
The owner and his wife came in and this restaurant is so TINY that her perfume was overwhelming. Everytime she walked by our table I lost my appetite! Why do people insist on wearing perfume and cologne to restaraunts? It ruins the experience of dining; I would much rather enjoy the aromas coming from the kitchen than to have to tolerate someones cloying scent that I did not choose! When it came time to leave, we had to wait for space to be made for us so that we could get to the exit!
Ate here for Farm to Fork Week...delicious! However, our waiter was not attentive and had not so great service. I have eaten here previously and really enjoyed service and food. Must have been an off night. Had to ask for our water glasses to be filled, more bread, etc. Gave us ice bucket filled with water to cool our wine that spilled all over table. Lobster sweet potato soup was fair. Could not taste any lobster...should have gotten the crab bisque....that is amazing. Veal scallopini over fresh jersey tomato was amazing. Salmon didn't have that much flavor. Everyone got the filet mignon and raved about it. Will try again, hopefully won't get same waiter.
We found Tre Famigia to be an outstanding value. We had a special prix fixe menu at $35.00 which include 4 courses and all 4 course were outstanding. I had a lobster tail dish with a blush lobster sauce over linguine that was outstanding, My dessert was a chocolate lasagna which was basically a cake crust with layers of mousse. Others in my party were equally pleased with their choices. The service was outstanding. I would not call this a romantic spot as it was crowded and noisier than other places but if you're dining out with friends in a casual manner and want good food at reasonable prices, try Tre Famiglia. (bring a bottle with you as it's a BYOB).
This was our second time at Tre Famiglia and it won't be our last. This time we went during farm to fork week and enjoyed a 4 course tasting menu. Each course was well sized and delicious. The basil olive oil served with the bread is worth the drive alone. We especially enjoyed the soups (crab bisque and sweet potato with lobster) the braised short ribs were succulent and the filet mignon among the best I've ever tasted. Our server, Billy, was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
