Tre Famiglia Ratings and Reviews
Overall, I love the atmosphere and the food. I chose one of the specials for the evening. It was not particularly as tasty as other dishes I've had at this restaurant. I was trying to be adventurous and try something new. My tendency is to stick to what you know.
My sister moved across country so my family had a “last meal” at Tre Famiglia. It was everything we could have asked for! The food was fantastic - we all wound up ordering the specials (braised short ribs with risotto and rack of lamb with mashed potatoes). The short ribs were melt in your mouth delicious and weren’t smothered in too much sauce. My mom didn’t even share a bite of lamb! Usually she offers a bite and never finishes her meal but she ate the whole plate. Our server, Matty, was attentive - he had the perfect balance of not being too much nor was he ever MIA.
Yet again another fantastic meal from Tre Famiglia.
I was in for dinner Sunday 1-14-2018...it took a long time to get bread we ask 3 times...a lentil soup was a special and I ask server if the soup was a vegetable base and he said he ask in the kitchen and he said it was vegetable base...I'm Vegan and never eat meat in years...I was so sick when I got home...I called and they told me it was a beef broth
I can't believe that server lied to me...he never ask anyone...I'm very upset...!!!!
The service was very good; the wait staff was extremely attentive. But the food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken franchaise, and somehow, the kitchen made the chicken chewy and somewhat dry. The other orders looked OK, but there was nothing memorable about them. (I also did not understand risotto as the standard side, as opposed to some type of potato.)
The space is very cramped and a little loud, but dinner conversation was OK.
I hate to sound negative because a couple of years ago we had a great meal there. But I just felt like the restaurant was going through the motions, and the meal was too pricey for that.
Great atmosphere and amazing food - we literally used bread to "lick" almost every plate clean. Very professional and efficient staff that operated as a single unit, and our waiter was one of the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend for a date or other special occasion, though the prices were just on the border of being able to go for a higher-end "regular" evening too, so if you don't mind spending a few bucks for a really great meal give it a shot any day! Definitely try the specials, they were unbeatable.
Tre Famiglia always gives you a good value and an interesting menu. The wait staff is attentive and pleasant. Parking can be an issue depending on the time of your reservation. You may have to walk a block or two after dropping off your party. It’s worth this sometimes inconvenience.
This visit was for our Company Holiday Dinner. Food (as always) was tremendous. Darlene waited on us, and came thru big when she said...I'll have them make anything on the menu the way you want. Don't want Veg....sub in pasta etc.
Two specials of note...the stuffed long hots and the Short Rib (subbed in the Gnocchi) were awesome. And where else can you get a Special for $31 ????
I dine here every few months. Biggest issue is choosing which of "my favorite" meals to have on a given night.
The food here is always great! I tried the special stuffed veal chop and it was awesome - perfectly done; tender, juicy and absolutely delicious. Our waiter Steven was wonderful - even though all the tables were taken we never felt overlooked or rushed - perfect pacing - we had time to finish our apps before the main course arrived - kudos to Steven. The only negative is that the space is tight and tables are close, so when the restaurant is full - as it was the night we dined - the atmosphere is not exactly romantic. We even opted for a Thursday evening thinking that would help but it didn't. To recap - great food; awesome service; so-so atmosphere.
This was my third or fourth visit, and although it was good, it was not as outstanding as previous visits. The room temperature was rather cool, and cold air was coming out of
the heater vent under our table. It could not be regulated so our Server covered it with
a menu. I wonder if it was discarded or cleaned prior to giving the menu to someone
else? Also, the table rocked so we had to place a match book under one leg to stablize
it. Little things like this can be annoying when you are trying to impress a friend with
a restaurant that you brag about most of the time. The pasta dish I ordered did not
have the kind that was listed on the menu. Perhaps the kitchen was having an off
day? However, it is a consistent style and pattern that brings people back. I will
probably back off for awhile before returning. There are so many wonderful
restaurants in South Jersey, so I think owners and managers need to be careful on
their so called, off days. Buon appetito to all !
My husband and I enjoyed dinner here in the summer on the way to a concert and we loved it. I enjoyed it so much that I decided that we would hold our annual Christmas outing with friends here. They have a wonderful selection and an extensive selection for me as a Celiac. Staff is wonderful. The 8 of us had a wonderful dinner 12/8. Our only issue was it was loud. Quiet conversation you cannot have. But the food and service - FANTASTIC! Thank you
I made a reservation a week prior to 12/6/17 on opentable.
Arrived on time at 6:30 pm. Waited in the doorway as
large groups were seated. The hostess was trying to find
us(2) a table and trying to contact her manager. After 8-10
minutes we were seated in the window in the farthest room
where a private party was taking place. The table seating
was extremely tight as we are a 115 lb woman and a 200 lb
The noise level in the room was extremely high. A man at
the private party stood up to welcome his group, 2 long
tables, and announced that the restaurant told them
that they would have a private room. He apologized to
us but that did not help with the noise level.
The food as always was very good and the waiter was
very attentive. He visited our table several times during
Management needs some help! It seems as it they are
only concerned with large groups.
Food was excellent. We were seated immediately upon our arrival even though there was a wait for walk-ins. Service was good but a little rushed. Plates cleared rapidly as each person finished, even though others were still eating.
Although we did not leave quickly, it seemed like the servers would have been happier if we had.
My sister-in-law had lunch here on a weekday and we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch. The restaurant was nearly full and everyone appeared to love the food. It is authentic Italian food and it seems like the sauce is homemade. We both had pasta and it was done to perfection. The lunch crowd is in a dining room adjacent to the more formal dinner dining room so it was pretty sparsely decorated but the food made up for that. And it is extremely well-priced. We will return for dinner but I strongly recommend this restaurant for a lovely lunch.
I went here for my third time this past Saturday, 11/25/17. My meal was as good as always except for my step-daughter's bronzino, it was a grilled piece of fish with very little flavor and they screwed up her special request for a side dish but, they did replace it. My daughters filet mignon was medium well, which is not good with a filet mignon. Everything else was fine though. I'd go back.
