The buffet was terrible. The meat was way undercooked. The charcuterie board was sparse. Not worth $40 per person. Very dissenting!
Christmas Eve dinner prime rib had no flavor, store bought frozen pies not recommended 40 per adult and 20 per kids
This was changed to a buffet from a menu option for Christmas Eve. The food was terrible in general, the prime rib was late and when it came out it was under cooked, super fatty, tasteless and downright awful. Full 20% gratuity and $40 service charge on top of a worse than average convention buffet. Truly disappointed for such an important family meal and the recommendations on Open Table. Never again. Never
You won't walk to this restaurant from Breckenridge. The view of Breckenridge will make the drive (or UBER) worth the trouble. We visited 1-week before the ski season started, there few people out, the restaurants were fully staffed, so service was far better than mid-season high-demand.
Beautiful place! Great food and service!
Incredible views from window table although restaurant “look” a bit basic. Starters tended to be over large and heavy but sprout dish good. Trout very good but hard to discern the smoked flavor. Creme Brûlée excellent. The Old-Fashioned from the bar was wonderful.
Excellent dinner and a spectacular view of the mountains.
There was a HUGE wedding reseption the night we went so there were no specials. Once the music started you couldn't not hear the person across the table from you. All you could hear was the base. My son ordered soup and it came out luke warm. The burgers were delicious though.
Service and wine list was excellent. However, a simple salad was beyond its capabilities.
Great local and potential. Very poor service, slow, inattentive and uninterested. Views are great, food selections was weak, food quality was average and way below standard for the price (even for mountain resort pricing).
yes - lovely view, intimate setting yet not too assuming! Our waiter was professional & very attentive!
I requested a table by the window and that is what we received. The views are gorgeous. The service was excellent and the food delicious. The menu is limited but my husband enjoyed his perfectly cooked rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and I had the shrimp scampi style pasta which was delicious. The house salad with homemade dressing was very good as was the Caesar salad. We would recommend this restaurant. A little pricey but worth it.
Appetizers and drinks were good. Entrees were unedible. And we are not picky. Very disappointed!
We had steak and trout and our meals were cooked exactly as we wanted. Great service too😎
Service is a little slow, but the quality of food and view makes up for it.
Birthday dinner. Wonderful view out of corner window! A little pricey because we ordered dessert and soup too, but food was very good. We will go back!
Absolutely the worst food experience in Brenkenridge. Chicken on pasta had been frozen and reheated, shrimp over cooked, cocktails were terrible. The only reason to go to this restaurant is to take pictures with the view. Do that and skip drinking or eating there
What a gem of a find. Worth the trip up to Traverse
We were recommended to go here for our anniversary dinner. It was beyond worth it! The view, the food, the staff, all absolutely incredible. Truly some of the best food we have ever had. We left there completely stuffed and so happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate.
Gorgeous views and friendly service. Great deals on wine and lovely, delicious appetizers.
The cheese and meat board appetizer is a great value. Loved the draft Avery Imperial IPA. I had the Pork Belly Buns (another appetizer) for my meal and they were outstanding! Great service by Justen! Great views rounded out a great meal!
Incredible view ! Very informative staff; from Eric the bartender who got us started, to Zach our waiter, it all made for a wonderful experience. A side note, after dinner a couple we were talking with in the lobby told us the tip was included in our bill...we tipped also... so we may have tipped double.... something to watch out for, but the experience was awesome either way!
Enjoyed a very nice dinner on Thursday evening. Starting with the drinks, the Traverse martini was very good. We followed that with a cup of the house chili, delightfully spicy and perfect for a cool Breckenridge evening. For entrees, the fried chicken was excellent. Perfectly cooked, moist meat and delicious fried crust. Finished it off creme brulee. Our waiter, Zach, was prompt and attentive. Will definitely go back.
The place is beautiful and the view is magnificent. But that’s about it.
The menu on the website does not match with the menu at the restaurant. The food is oily and greasy, even the carrot and the broccoli are fried! And you cannot ask it to be steamed. I did not enjoy the food at all. It is pricey for what you get.
Spectacular views. Great happy hours deals. We loved the charcuterie board and chicken wings. Large portions.
Great service! Love the atmosphere. I really enjoyed the views
So great to hear you had an enjoyable visit at Traverse!
Got a seat with a view, the service was good, the food was good, everything was overall great! Would definitely recommend!
We went for my husband’s birthday dinner. I got the steak and he got the lamb shank. Neither cuts of meat were seasoned at all. Like not even a tiniest bit of salt. The veggies were ok. The best part about the meal was the amazing view of the mountains and the amazing Willamette Valley wine we had. Otherwise, I will not be back.
Our dinner was by far the best food we’ve had in Breckenridge! Highly recommend the mussels as an app!
The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the view was outstanding!
Overall, a good experience. Our server was very good. Food was good but nothing special. Will be back for happy hour.
The views were great but the food was just ok. Good wine as well.
It was a letdown. We had enjoyed many special dinners at Top Of The World and were sad when it closed. When we discovered The Lodge had reopened a new restaurant we wanted to try it. The food was unimaginative, over cooked and over priced. They have chopped the dining area up into many booths so very few can enjoy the beautiful view. Very disappointed
Valentines Day evening at Traverse was a disaster. My wife and I each choose an entree and they were out of both. It was only 7 PM. We then order a burger which was not God at all. Our bill for two burgers and no alcohol was $40.
Never again , I liked the fact that not only was the grouper unavoidable, but so was the chicken . Keep in mind it was 6:30 Dinner .
It was amusing that the non chicken was comped !
The food is always good. A little loud at times but always worth it.
We shared an appetizer, and each had an entree. The food taste and appearance was good, the server very attentive and pleasant. We did not feel rushed and were able to talk comfortably. The windows afford s beautiful view of the mountains, ideal for watching a sunset.
From the moment I walked in I felt a sense of calm at the understated elegance. The wine List has some treasures at a moderate price point. The shaved brussels sprouts salad with the marinated grapes was a lovely contrast of flavors. The mussels and Pomme Frites that my husband had were reminiscent of Paris brasserie. I never order chicken out but the brick smashed chicken with garlic bacon mashed potatoes was superb. My only regret was not getting there early enough to see the views.
If I could give zero stars, I would. Abysmal service and food. Waited forever to get bland, over-cooked, low quality entrees. Never did get soup/salad course. Understaffed and no apparent manager.
Menu has changed from what was posted in Open Table. Food was good. The view was phenomenal. It was nice to get off the beaten path.
