Great food. Just different enough to be interesting without being pretentious or intimidating - think wheatberries with duck, cauliflower with basil and capers, octopus and pork belly. Nice atmosphere. Typical Chicago restaurant noise level.

I took a client to lunch here. The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. It was fairly quiet -it feels like a hidden gem. I'll definitely consider going back.

The greeting desk could improve - had specific request through opentable they never checked and were not as friendly as past times , seemed sloppy - when asked for the table requested made I appear they were doing me a favor - unlike past visits

Took 3 attempts to get a hard poached egg but server was great and chef was skilled - somewhere in the middle communication failed

This is a favorite but this occasion the bad greeting to the end was just ok

Was better the first time. Was very disappointed with my dish, which was chicken and quinoa but with little of both. Should have opted for the grilled cheese

Came her to have dinner with a friend. It was a really wet day so I arrived drenched. I also rode my bike there so the hostess kindly took my dripping coat, scarf, helmet and shoulder bag that was wrapped in a dripping wet plastic bag.

The room was quite dim and carpeted and I felt immediately at ease. It was pretty loud, so even though there was some carpet to muffle sound, the room could use it on the walls or ceiling.

We ordered empanadas, crispy octopus and pork belly, shrimp ceviche, chocolate cake and 2 glasses each of red wine. Everything was delicious and our waiter attentive and helpful.

I quite like this place but wish it was a bit quieter. I came here for brunch once and was really shocked at the noise level, mostly because my previous visit was for afternoon tea which was very quiet. I will be back if I can snag another coupon. It really is a great deal.

Food was great!!! Service was unreal. Manager goes from table to table checking constantly. I highly recommend the asiago bread. It was so good. The branzino was so tasty it melted in your mouth. My husband enjoyed the porkchops. I have to say the staff surely aims to please.

This was my second visit to Travelle and both times the food and service were exceptional. The prawn entre is my favorite by far, but all the food we had was amazing. The drinks were great and our waiter was attentive without being "too much" Travelle is a little pricey, but I highly recommend for a fantastic meal.

I had a different idea of what this experience would be like. I came to The Langham for afternoon tea for my mother's birthday. It was very quiet with a nice view and I wanted to bring my father here too for his birthday, but instead of tea, I scheduled a breakfast. I wasn't expecting the dining room to be so lively. There were lots of families with children there and it was quite loud. I had to shout to talk to my father. There was also no alcohol on the menu, which I expected.

Regardless, it was a good day because it happened to be Open House Chicago and the Langham was participating so we took advantage of it. I just will think twice about taking a trip here for breakfast. I'll try dinner next time.

The food is always very good. My friend had farm to table selection which was excellent from start to finish. The asiago bread with spread is an all time favorite. The shrimp and pepper rice was outstanding. Every dish is enjoyable.

My unfortunate experience of the evening was the wine selection. When asked if they carried the wine I had last time, the server said they've never had it, but maybe by the bottle. Instead of offering the wine by glass he offered something much more expensive that wasn't worth it.

This is a mixed review; we had breakfast at the restaurant and loved it, but then we had lunch since we were staying at he Langham, and the experience was not that good. So for breakfast, yes; otherwise, probably not.

It was most regrettable that our meal experience was so very disappointing. Management realized that the kitchen could not get their act together on this night, and picked up our food + wine tab. we left a generous tip.
We will try them again, as we often stay at the Langham for a weekend in the city.

In a city with an abundance of restaurant options, this is a stand out. First of all the room is a stunning example of modern decor, open yet with a feeling of intimacy.
The service is casual, friendly and very professional. And the FOOD!! Chef Jarquin is extremely creative in putting together unusual elements to make intriguing flavors,ie. poached halibut with chorizo, chilled melon soup with interesting veggies and a hint of hot spice. The wine list is short but well curated to provide appropriate pairings with the food offerings. The entire experience was top notch. I only wish I lived in Chicago so I could go back more often.

Beautiful hotel, bar/lounge and restaurant with great views. Had a great dinner here on a girls night out. Juan N. was our server and he was awesome and patient. The drinks (Paloma's) and food are amazing. Also, if you do not consume pork like me, they are very accommodating and will remove any pork from your dish. The warm asiago bread with the honey butter is a must...it was everything! Ahi Poke, crispy duck confit, shrimp and roasted red pepper rice, the fish guy's whole fish for two (striped bass), and beer battered cauliflower was equally amazing.

Had a great time for lunch today. Nice and not too loud atmosphere was perfect for a girlfriend-to-girlfriend conversation. Staff is very attentive.
As of food. Although we were there for lunch, we wanted to order from a dinner menu. And even though it wasn't as easy as it usually is at the other restaurants, chef was able to accommodate us, which we highly appreciated. I tried shrimp ceviche and potato side dish, which was amazing! My girlfriend enjoyed duck comfit. Reddish was an interesting addition in both of our dishes.
The deserts: Pavlova lemon desert is to die for! Chocolate cake is quite alright as well.
Next time in town, I'll definitely be back.

It is a joke when you come to nice hotel Resteurant and bread served with breakfast comes from package
60 $ breakfast was not worth it at all.
Server could not make me avocado toast with eggs but they had all ingredients listed for breakfast with different items.
This is were excellent customer service comes it. Well in this case it did not again.
We eat there for dinner and experience was mediocre at best.
Please it would be also nice of your host exchanges social courtesies like greetings in am

Fabulous Farmer's Market Menu on 9/6/2017. Came to celebrate birthday and did not disappoint. Without a doubt, one of the finest Manhattans ever and the dinner was on par with some of the finest we have ever had (Second only to Micheline star Manresa in Los Gatos, Ca). Chef and his staff are to be commended. Cesar gave us great service. Thank you for a memorable farewell dinner to this wonderful city...my hometown

This was a lovely restaurant in the Langham Hotel with a quiet, refined atmosphere and a wonderful staff. Seafood is the emphasis, and I had the Nigerian prawns, which were almost as a waitress advised--3, almost as big as your forearm--and delicious. They were out of the crispy duck confit, which I'd wanted to order--apparently a popular item over the weekend. We were there on a Monday night, which was very quiet, as was the area just off the river in Chicago. One of us, not a seafood sort, had the lemon thyme chicken w/cabot cheddar bread pudding and pronounced it unremarkable but very good. We also shared the warm asiago bread w/'nduja pork butter (???) & local honey, and loved it.
