Roberto Paciullo’s hometown of Salerno is transported to the streets of Manhattan. Zero Otto Nove is the second outpost of his famous restaurants from Arthur Ave. in the Bronx. From the atmosphere to the food, stopping by Zero Otto Nove is taking a quick trip to Italy. The wood-burning brick oven is at the center turning out classics like the Margherita, and Roberto's originals, such as La Riccardo with butternut squash puree, smoked mozzarella, spicy pancetta, and basil. All the pastas are homemade, and all ingredients are brought in from New York's Real Little Italy, Arthur Avenue.

Outstanding evening following up a matinee at Irish Rep. Pizza, apps, and pastas are excellent. Nobody made it to entrees save one veal piccata (that was not even on the menu). Wine list runs the gamut from the $40s into and over the $100s. We will be back in a NY minute.

As perfect as it’s sister restaurant on Arthur Ve in the Bronx.

Pizza was outstanding as well as the veal chop parmigiana.
I was slightly disappointed with the baked pasta and the pasta with meatballs. The linguine with clams was very good and the octopus and was excellent and a big portion. All the portions are quite large and easily shared. Sevice was attentive except all they did was constantly pour water which was rather annoying. We were there early so i cannot comment on the vibe but the atmosphere is nice.

The ambiance, food and staff was absolutely incredible. What made it all was the staff, they were like a choreographed orchestra.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! Brought a big group on Friday night and everyone was blown away by the food and the service. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

The service was top notch, as in they worked as a team to deliver food, clear courses, etc.

Very tasty and fresh Italian food. Somewhat pricey but worth it. Recommended.

As always everything was delicious. We shared salads and pizzas and broccoli rabe and salmon. But it was so noisy, 3 of us at one table we couldn't hear each other.

Great place. We highly recommend for any occasion. Great food and exceptional service. Fairly priced for such a nice place to eat and for exceptional customer service high energy and a lot of fun.

Food was excellent, as was the wine and the service, but the noise level was a bi too much. It seems there was a kid’s birthday party. They obviously had a good time, less great for us not-related adults. I would go back anyway for the good Italian food!

Waiter was pleasant but it took an hour for the entrees to arrive and the food was disappointing.
I won’t be back.

I didn't know about this restaurant and was lucky to pick it out on Open Table.
I got there early (about 11:45AM) and was told the restaurant did not open until noon. I sat at a chair and then got at the back of the line for people checking in at noon. I could have had a glass of wine and then maybe a second with my meal if they had seated me immediately.
If the restaurant opens at noon - be ready to great & seat guests @ 11:45.
That is only 15 minutes and could be very helpful to those of us who are ON TIME or EARLY!

I really liked this restaurant! It was definitely authentic and reminded me of food you’d eat in Italy. Very impressed by the food but the service was a bit slow. I didn’t think the hostess was that friendly when we walked in but overall it’s a nice place. Would definitely recommend to people who want to taste quality Italian food.

We have eaten in the Arthur Avenue branch of this restaurant and were pleased to see that the Manhattan branch is just a good. The food is terrific (although the special pasta with truffle oil, baked in foil, was a bit overwrought). The sauces and spices are used perfectly for great appetizers, pastas, and "second plates." Service was friendly and helpful.

Food is very good, might be too much per serving. Wait staff all most too attentive with pouring water in glasses. It can be done well & invisibly.

Saturday night -busy & high energy. We ordered grilled octopus, a large portion that was perfectly grilled and the texture was not too chewy, not mushy-just right. Linguine with clams was delicious, the clams were so tasty & tender. Fragola di romana dessert was a refreshing finish.

I had the Diavola pizza with soppresetta, my friend had homemade gnocchi and we shared the shrimp appetizer which was a simple dish, but still amazing.

Attentive service and good ambience makes this a regular on my Italian restaurants rotation.

Restaurant has a cool, sexy vibe. Broad menu and lots of specials. Burrata starter was good, pizza caprese was great. Entrees were all excellent (chicken had a delicious sauce). Service was very nice, and water was constantly refilled, etc - we had to flag down our waiter a few times, but overall a good experience.

Nice atmosphere, several round tables which I love and long tables for big groups, not pretentious, can go casual or more fancy, nice staff and delicious food. Good for families or friends and definitely good for larger groups. Great staple Italian!

Cute place with nice arches to make it feel Mediterranean. Little nooks for more privat dinners as well. Branzino was a little slimy and the "aqua Pazza" tasted more like old clams. The cherry tomatoes were past their due date. Salad was good. Pasta was good but not anything out of the ordinary . the fritto misto at the next table looked great !

delightful lunch for restaurant week at this restaurant we never would have discovered. Well prepared Italian food - enjoyed the first course of eggplant parmejan and a main corse of short ribs. The sauces were delicious, and the portions very hearty. We ordered a simple wine - which was OK... more lower priced options would be good. Nice room, tall ceilings, will definitely come back.
