Trattoria Zero Otto Nove
Arugula salad, radiatore in cartoccio, linguine with clams, spaghetti & meatballs & panna cotta with strawberries were all excellent. Service is energetic. One of the best traditional italian venues.
The food was great. It was a group of 6 of us and everyone loved their meal - the fish, pasta and pork chops were delicious. Great ambiance, the restaurant is big, so its a great spot to bring a group. Service was mediocre - timeliness was fine, but the waiter was not very helpful or friendly. I would definitely recommend for the food though, was very good!
The food was excellent and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The noise level is uncomfortably high.
The duck ravioli special was delicious! Great service as usual!
One of my favorite go-to spots. Food is always very good, as is the service and the ambience.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We shared a pizza to start and all eight of us were happy. From veal chop parm to linguine with clams, salads, eggplant ravioli everyone thought it was a great meal. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Can’t wait to go back
Such good food and really great service!
We came to NYC for business and hard a difficult time choosing an Italian restaurant. So many. We had a most wonderful dinner with tasty well prepared food, wait staff that was attentive and pleasant, and yummy desserts to finish it off. I would certainly return with my family on our next NY vacation so they can experience it too. This place was much better than the place we went to near Times Square this past spring.
Wonderful time Always treated like family. Food is consistently delicious.
As the restaurant was recommended to me, I knew would be good, but it far exceeded my expectations!
Nice lunch with a friend, good food and, best of all, we never felt rushed.
Pasta was a over cooked gooey mess.
Love this place! I come here all the time when I need a restaurant that's near midtown (i.e. close to a Ranger game, meeting a friend coming into Penn or Grand Central, after a day of department store shopping, etc.), and it never disappoints. Food is consistently outstanding, as are the prices. I've had amazing meals here for a fraction of the cost (and better-tasting) than some of those fashionable, overpriced new places in other parts of the city. The place itself is beautiful - you feel like you've been transported. And, most importantly, the staff is always beyond friendly! From the hostess, to the bartenders, to the wait staff, everyone is friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
Great service, great food!
Trattoria Zero Otto Nove was a fantastic spot for an Italian dinner. Everything we tried off the menu was incredible, along with the excellent service. The restaurant was packed since it was a Saturday night, but the meal was truly fantastic, and I will be returning next time I visit the city!
The food and service were good and the atmosphere was very nice. However, the Dover Sole was fair at best. When this dish is on a menu we always look forward to ordering it, but in this instance it was underwhelming. Would be willing to give it another chance
Awesome menu - something for everyone and fantastic pizza.
Very tasty dinner! Octopus appetizer, salmon entree, and pork chop entree. All prepared very nicely and tasted great!
The service was fabulous and friendly. The pizza and entrees were Rome-like. I can’t wait to go back.
After living in NYC for over thirty years I’m convinced you should only order pasta at Italian restaurants. I ordered the bass. What a disaster. Who serves fresh fish with a brown gravy sauce. The fish was so overcooked it melted. My mate ordered a five meat dish and the braciole had a foul odor. What a lovely evening. The only thing good was the $70.00 bottle of wine.
The Food varied widely in quality. The black bean soup was outstanding, as were the yucca fries. The tops Vijay was tasty but heavily over salted. The Paella was burnt. The espresso was undrinkable. Nobody asked how anything was. We would have told them.
Hello, I believe you have us mixed up with another restaurant as we do not serve black bean soup, yucca fries, or paella. We exclusively serve Italian food.
Excellent food service and atmosphere. Great with friends or with your favorite person. I am impressed every single time I go. And I will definitely go again!
I’ve been patronizing Roberto’s restaurants for 35 years. I’ve never had a bad dish, and the menu is consistently outstanding.
Good pizza, great service. Only downside is that it was loud.
Wonderful food and staff. Always attentive and great dining.
My experience was terrific! The service at the bar and then at table was great. For appetizer we had the burrata and it was delicious. I wanted linguini with seafood and our server recommended how a dish with seafood they could use linguini instead. My linguini di mare was a 10. My date had the branzino and loved it. Topped off a great dinner with tiramasu and sambuca. Great experience. I will return.
The NYC outpost of an Arthur Avenue favorite can hold its own against its original older brother. As with the original, authentic pizza is the star of the show, though the other dishes are no slouches. What else would you expect from Chef Roberto, the Arthur Avenue legend.
Great service, efficient and friendly. We love the pizza!
Overall food pretty mediocre, although pizza was great. Noise level was extremely high. Could hardly have a conversation. Service was pleasant, unremarkable.
Unreal the service and the food! My new favorite!
Great neighborhood Italian. We’ve been as part of bigger groups or 2’people at the bar. Excellent experience. Food’s fresh Italian, Pizza, great pastas and very good fish. Wines and service rock.
This has become a go to lunch spot. Easy for commercial parking. Seating is not cramped. Food is good. Bartender and cocktails are great. Specials are always interesting. I believe 4th time, and there will be a bunch more. Never had an unhappy guest that's joined me.
Really disappointed about the food. Quality has gone down since the last time I was here.
Beets and burrata: burrata was good. No condiments on beets
Mozzarella caprese: mozzarella worst than a supermarket mozzarella. Considering that this restaurant started in the Bronx in Arthur Ave where you can have an almost authentic Italian mozzarella
Cacio e pepe: flavor was good but pasta over cooked. This is a tragedy for any serious Italian restaurant
Tagliatelle al tartufo (special of the day): no complain
Pizza margherita: salty
Risotto pescatore: if you can’t a good one remove it from the menu
Cannoli something: stick to regular cannoli and btw there is no cannella in the cannoli filling.
So if you want to eat decent Italian food don’t come here. I won’t anymore from an Italian born and raised
My parents and I were visiting my brother in the city and we came here for a nice Italian meal and boy were we impressed! The food was absolutely amazing!
Always enjoy the meal and ambiance of Zero Otte Nove. From everyday dining to special occasions and anything in between
The grilled pork chop with nothing on it was the best I’ve eaten. Will go back if in the neighborhood.
This is a fantastic place in NYC - great neighborhood and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend the pasta in the foil - it's amazing. But the pizzas are equally delicious!
this is a perfect neighborhood gem! the pasta's are really good and they will make half orders for you as a side or as an appetizer. I had the Dover Sole and it was one of the best i've had.
Nice atmosphere. Great service. Try the pasta done in the tin foil- it is something special.
The staff were extra accommodating and the food was excellent. I loved their large tables for bigger parties too,
