Italian
Roberto Paciullo’s hometown of Salerno is transported to the streets of Manhattan. Zero Otto Nove is the second outpost of his famous restaurants from Arthur Ave. in the Bronx. From the atmosphere to the food, stopping by Zero Otto Nove is taking a quick trip to Italy. The wood-burning brick oven is at the center turning out classics like the Margherita, and Roberto's originals, such as La Riccardo with butternut squash puree, smoked mozzarella, spicy pancetta, and basil. All the pastas are homemade, and all ingredients are brought in from New York's Real Little Italy, Arthur Avenue.

2nd time I have been. It is a great place for lunch. Not cramped like a lot of NYC areas. Service was great. Seafood was fresh. I had a cocktail at the bar prior to lunch which was excellent. I will be back.

Always enjoy Zero Otto Nove….the hostess made it a very special night when she let our party of four sit in the alcove reserved for six as no one was using it. Wonderful!

Very, very disappointed in this restaurant. My friend had been to the Arthur Avenue location and loved it so we decided to eat here. The place is lovely and the bathrooms gorgeous but that was about it. The noise was incredible. Now to the food: I ordered one of the specials: osso buco - at $35. I love osso buco and often cook it myself but not during the summer. What came out on the plate was what looked like a huge shank of beef - not veal. It was not appetizing looking, was stringy and had no taste. It was accompanied by what I think was polenta but this was covered in a sauce that totally overpowered the polenta. I took a few bites and left the rest on my plate. The server didn't ask why I didn't eat. My friend ordered two appetizers: eggplant (which she had on Arthur Avenue and loved) and La Vincenzo. Neither was acceptable. Now, perhaps the pasta and pizza are good here but we don't eat those so won't be going back to this restaurant. To spend $70 each and not enjoy one mouthful of food is not acceptable.

First time here and was tremendously impressed with the service. Food was excellent. The only downside was the inability to speak to anyone at my table because the noise level was deafening. It may not bother many people but I like to sit and speak and listen to the people I am out with. Other than that, I would recommend for food and service. Prices are also quite reasonable for NYC.

Was only in town for one night to catch up with friends and this place was recommended to me. It was excellent and would highly recommend. Excellent menu selection, almost too many good choices 😉. Service was great and good wine list if you love your Italian varietals.

Very warm and welcoming setting. The brazino was really delicious. The Risotto alla Pescatore also got a thumbs up. Even the desserts ( strawberries and cream and the tiramisu) were really good. Service was very good too.

Reliably good, though a little pricey for the level of cuisine. Nice to have in the neighborhood among the plethora of trendy, high-end restaurants.

Delicious food in a surprisingly spacious room. We started with salads: simply prepared and very fresh. Then we each ordered a pizza. They were larger than expected, with bubbly, chewy crusts and high-quality cheeses, mushrooms, and other ingredients. We'd definitely go there again.

Beautiful space, welcoming hosts, professional servers and support staff, open and casual environment for dining at the bar or large celebrations. Spacious and not too loud. The food was delicious! I had the branzino I only wish there was a veggie side with it. Looking forward to another date there!

Like the original Bronx restaurant, the Flatiron location has great food and great service. I love their old-school approach by the waiters in reciting the ton of specials each day. It feels special when your waiter can announce the specials without having to look at a piece of paper. I find that impressive every time. The food is always terrific. I believe this location has a stone oven so the pizza comes out nice and crisp. Great neighborhood place and they aren't over-priced so it's a good place for everyone.

We have always wanted to spend a day up at Arthur Ave in the Bronx to explore the Italian restaurants and shops. ZON was on our list of places to try there but we had no idea there was one in the city so we were eager to try it out. The ambiance felt like you were in an Italian wine cellar which was highlighted with arches throughout. The waiters and staff were very attentive and timely. However it was food that really stood out. My brother & I each had a ravioli special of ricotta & short ribs that was delicious. My wife had another special of shrimp, zucchini and lemon zest over spaghetti that reminded us of our time in Nerano, Italy...it was amazing. I highly recommend getting the side of sautéed escarole to complement your meal. For dessert we shared a flat pastry with cannoli filling that was light, airy and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back 🇮🇹😀

It's hard to assign one rating to Zero Otto Nova. The pizza (4 cheese with truffles!) was out of this world. Surprisingly the two pastas, although they sounded delicious were not actually very flavorful (or served hot enough). The interior space reminds you of the old Gustavino's, with tiled arches & dark if you're not close to the windows. Servers were great and at your table constantly. Would definitely go again for the pizzas and give it a second chance. There's a large bar facing the windows that would be a nice place to try.

I enjoyed my meal but if I were seeking another Italian dinner, I would look elsewhere. Our table had the margherita pizza and a pasta with meat sauce. Both were quite tasty. I ordered a gin cocktail and it tasted like rubbing alcohol. Overall, I would describe my review as indifferent.

I've been to your location on Arthur Ave. in the Bronx and the food there was head and shoulders better than what we had the other night. In the 21st street location my eggplant parmesan wasn't warm or flavorful enough. The mussels were bland. The best part was the bread dipped in olive oil and the broccoli rabe.
