I didn't know about this restaurant and was lucky to pick it out on Open Table.
I got there early (about 11:45AM) and was told the restaurant did not open until noon. I sat at a chair and then got at the back of the line for people checking in at noon. I could have had a glass of wine and then maybe a second with my meal if they had seated me immediately.
If the restaurant opens at noon - be ready to great & seat guests @ 11:45.
That is only 15 minutes and could be very helpful to those of us who are ON TIME or EARLY!
We were celebrating a birthday and couldn't have been more pleased. The service was amazing-we never had to ask for anything and the food was delicious and fresh.
Last lunch with coworkers
Really nice spot. Yummy pizza , great service.
I really liked this restaurant! It was definitely authentic and reminded me of food you’d eat in Italy. Very impressed by the food but the service was a bit slow. I didn’t think the hostess was that friendly when we walked in but overall it’s a nice place. Would definitely recommend to people who want to taste quality Italian food.
Dirty plates. Over seasoned food.
Food was excellent. Service even better. Bucky and the boys did a great job. Thank you.
We have eaten in the Arthur Avenue branch of this restaurant and were pleased to see that the Manhattan branch is just a good. The food is terrific (although the special pasta with truffle oil, baked in foil, was a bit overwrought). The sauces and spices are used perfectly for great appetizers, pastas, and "second plates." Service was friendly and helpful.
Fantastic pizza, excellent wine list, delicious mains
Food is very good, might be too much per serving. Wait staff all most too attentive with pouring water in glasses. It can be done well & invisibly.
I used to live in Italy. And this Pizza was so good! Thoroughly impressed! Will be back!
Love this place!
Saturday night -busy & high energy. We ordered grilled octopus, a large portion that was perfectly grilled and the texture was not too chewy, not mushy-just right. Linguine with clams was delicious, the clams were so tasty & tender. Fragola di romana dessert was a refreshing finish.
I had the Diavola pizza with soppresetta, my friend had homemade gnocchi and we shared the shrimp appetizer which was a simple dish, but still amazing.
Attentive service and good ambience makes this a regular on my Italian restaurants rotation.
Beautiful venue with amazing food.
Everything was great.
Acceptable but unexceptional Italian trattoria food. Not “vaux le voyage.”
Overall good dining. Cocktails are great. Bartender never lets me down.
Restaurant has a cool, sexy vibe. Broad menu and lots of specials. Burrata starter was good, pizza caprese was great. Entrees were all excellent (chicken had a delicious sauce). Service was very nice, and water was constantly refilled, etc - we had to flag down our waiter a few times, but overall a good experience.
Nice atmosphere, several round tables which I love and long tables for big groups, not pretentious, can go casual or more fancy, nice staff and delicious food. Good for families or friends and definitely good for larger groups. Great staple Italian!
Delicious! Pasta and meatballs and salads were great as was the wine list. The service was excellent and very accommodating. Will definitely go back.
Excellent food and presentation . Friendly and efficient service. Highly recommend.
Cute place with nice arches to make it feel Mediterranean. Little nooks for more privat dinners as well. Branzino was a little slimy and the "aqua Pazza" tasted more like old clams. The cherry tomatoes were past their due date. Salad was good. Pasta was good but not anything out of the ordinary . the fritto misto at the next table looked great !
delightful lunch for restaurant week at this restaurant we never would have discovered. Well prepared Italian food - enjoyed the first course of eggplant parmejan and a main corse of short ribs. The sauces were delicious, and the portions very hearty. We ordered a simple wine - which was OK... more lower priced options would be good. Nice room, tall ceilings, will definitely come back.
Went for restaurant week. They chose a very enjoyable menu selection and food was delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and overall service was excellent.
Fabulous food and service
thoroughly enjoyed our time. Never felt rushed. Waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive
So delicious and the staff was amazing!
Came in for the prixe fix lunch menu for restaurant week. The food was outrageous and the staff was extremely helpful as well. Would definitely recommend a visit!
We visited this restaurant during restaurant week for lunch. The homemade pasta was excellent. Service was impeccable . I would definitely like to go back for dinner.
Portions are large enough to share. If you are looking for a quiet place, this not it. The noise level is very high. If you have a hearing problem or wear hearing aids, forget this place.
Overall good. Would go back.
My favorite restaurant.
Food, ambience, and service, all were awesome.
One thing though, their bongole was a bit salty..
Excellent Italian restaurant with fabulous service. I enjoyed everything I ordered, Shrimp/bean appetizer, Branzino entrée and profiteroles for dessert. I usually don't eat bread but the focaccia in their bread basket was worth every calorie. Good wine and coffee too.
Food took much longer considering the restaurant was not crowded and didn’t taste fresh once it did arrive
I tried zero otto nove for restaurant week. The restaurant is dimly lit. I had the eggplant and zucchini parmesan, which was better than expected. I also had the branzino, which was phenomenal. I am going to make a trip back just to have that! It was in a sauce with white wine, parsley, garlic, clam sauce and sliced cherry tomatoes. I had the profiteroles for dessert. It was drenched in fudge. I thought it would have ice cream inside, but it was just a custard sauce. I also had the basilica e limone - a nice refreshing martini with vodka, basil, simple syrup, and splash of lemon and pineapple.
We were there for lunch on Friday. We tried a few cocktails and it was good (not consistent when we repeated but good nonetheless). The 3 course lunch for $30 is great value for money. We couldn't finish the entrée and packed it for later and paced out dessert simply coz it was so good. The ambiance was fun, with nice solid wood tables and elegant décor, suited for large groups as well.
The service was prompt and attentive. The food was excellent and was an especially good value since it was Restaurant Week.
The service was super. All people working there were very accommodating to our group. Our numbers kept changing and they were super about that
Very friendly, attentive but not intrusive service. Food fresh, delicious, attractively plated. Very generous portions. Prix fixe lunch for restaurant week an incredible value. shrimp with beans, and the eggplant were outstnding primi; burratta and the short ribs were our secondi - outstanding!
