Restaurant was closed when we got there despite having reservation and several reminders about it. Then when I tried to schedule another restaurant, open table wouldn't let me because I was "double booked"

Funny it says permanently closed in the title now but you are still looking for a review.

Not good for vegans but ok for vegetarians. My Caesar salad was not as good as the last time. My husband did not like his entrée or soup special. Vegans only had a lettuce salad with a different dressing. Every one else who ordered entrees liked what they had. Service was not great.

Nice little gem in downtown Newtown. Charming atmosphere, nicely decorated. My husband and I were seated in the back (windowless but still nice). Servers were attentive. I had the carpaccio appetizer (yummy) and the wild mushroom ravioli. The mushrooms were not stuffed into the ravioli, they were mixed into the dish. It was still tasty but I wouldn't order it again. My husband had the ceaser salad and the linguini bolognese. The salad was large. He enjoyed both courses. The restaurant was almost full, everyone seemed content. I would go back there again.

They serve up this great calamato oil dip that is very tasty with bread. With a name like Trattoria Tiramisu, the bread could have been more authentic, like Hoboken or Brooklyn bread.

It just so happened that both of our entrees and appetizer came over polenta. All of the proteins were cooked to perfection, but the polenta on all three plates was cold.

Are you ready for this... the water was absolutely perfect!! There is something to be said for a perfect tasting glass of water these days. Some owners don't think enough to filter the water they serve. This owner thinks it's important, and so do I. It shows the owner really cares about what is served.

We were seated in the "back room". It seems like this was a private party room or something, kind of cold, no windows, much less ambiance than the front of the house where we would have preferred to sit.

Overall, the experience was alright.

Perfection! At Christmas we were given a gift card to Trattoria Tiramisu. We decided to use it for Valentine's Day. We were not disappointed - everything was delicious too! I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a romantic evening!

Dinner out at this restaurant was very nice. We were with friends and able to have great conversation. We had Lobster Bisque. It was very good -but had skimmed from sitting a tad to long. The veal dish was good/One friend had a flounder and shrimp francaise which he found tasty but a "little wet". I had the fish special with passion fruit. I found it quite tasty and different. Another friend was very pleased at the accommodation of her gluten allergy.
Our service was unrushed, because there was only one waiter and and one assist for the entire restaraunt. This would be a daunting task for anyone. We fortunately were not in any rush-but attention could not be given due to lack of staff. We also enjoyed that this is a BYOB-allowing all to enjoy the wine they prefer.

Second visit and it didn't disappoint. I started with the Lobster Bisque which was thick and tasty but could have used more lobster pieces. My spouse had the Caesar salad and nicely prepared with a sufficient amount of dressing. Our main entrees were Veal Saltimbocca and Wild Mushroom ravioli..both delicious and with leftovers to take home. BYOB makes this place really nice. Waitress wasn't very sociable but was very efficient and attentive. Overall another nice experience and will be back.

I brought guests from out of town. I was disappointed. Service was confused. I wondered if it was under new management. Owner not in evidence. Food was not as good as in the past.

Have eaten here twice. First time was excellent, ate in main room, good service and delicious. Second time ate in rear room, found it to be too loud as only one long table was occupied and room echoed. No bread was available as they were out and we were served toasted slices that were stale; not acceptable. Entree was excellent but Salmon was overcooked which I would blame more on my dinning companions who asked for their cooked well; even though I requested mine be cooked as the Chef felt proper. I feel I was served overcooked Salmon due to mix up in serving. Overall, I will go here again but hope for front dinning room; maybe with just my date next time.

The menu has changed with very few choices and the service from the kitchen was painfully slow. This used to be a favorite restaurant of ours, but we won't be going back.

The chicken parm was, once again, infamously fantastic. First time for the chicken marsala and that didn't disappoint either! You cannot go wrong here! Can't wait to come back again. Service is prompt and efficient. Food isn't crammed in your face (timewise) but just enough time between courses.
