I would like to recommends anyone , one of best around always
no dissapointment. Thanks
We took my 87 year old Mom for dinner - she loves to go out since she is a widow. She was thrilled with the lovely meal and especially the delicious Creme Brûlée!
Always enjoy the food here. We have celebrated birthdays and our anniversaries here a few times. The menu pleases everyone. The service and food is always great.
Our server was attentive and very polite. The noise level was very reasonable. Everything from our appetizers to our dessert and coffees to complete the experience were amazing.
Amazing waitress ! She made the night extra special for us
Our dinner reservation was on Saturday, 5th/19 in early evening for 4 people. We were seated near the main entrance & bar. Due to the open concept of the restaurant it is fairly noisy & everyone had difficulty hearing each other, including the waiter.
We ordered bruschetta, eggplant & the pear salad as appetizers & all were good. The tomahawk porkchop & venison rague pasta were excellent. As was the house blend red wine. However, the breaded veal with mashed potatoes & veggies did not meet my expectations. There were 3 pieces of veal, thinly sliced & lightly breaded. The portion was good however, the veal tasted & felt oily. One side was cooked to a light crisp, the other was fairly pale not crispy at all. I'm not sure which oil they used to cook the veal but it had a distinctive flavour which almost tasted fishy. I would have sent it back but the restaurant was full, we were pressed for time to attend a movie & our waiter was busy & having difficulty hearing us, so I decided to pass on sending the meal back.
The portions were reasonable & the majority of our meal was fairly good. However, the atmosphere, poor seating location & 2 main entrees not cooked as they should be leads me to a 3/5 rating.
Went out with my girlfriends who had never been. They loved the food and the ambiance.
Great restaurant. We will definitely be back.
My husband and I eat out often. There are a lot of great restaurants that serve good food, however, what keeps us coming back is the service. Specifically Andrew. He is simply amazing. Andrew makes us feel right at home every visit. He knows our preferences, is friendly while providing privacy at the right moments to allow us to enjoy our meal. Andrew is a gem.
Good quality food, especially the pasta and pizza, and nice service always.
A very nice evening. Our server was very good. We didn't feel rushed. Very nice atmosphere and
my girlfriend was very impressed.
Larger portions would have been nice, but overall, very good.
We'll definitely dine with you again.
Although the food was outstanding, the noise level was really overwhelming, making dinner conversation virtually impossible. I plan to return (it was that good) but will try it at lunch when hopefully it will be quieter.
For a long time Trattoria has same soup selection. I think they need to get something new or add something new.
mid-week business dinner meeting.... food was awesome... environment was great... Sylvie/Sylvia was simply FANTASTIC , a TON of fun and made our night even more enjoyable. The hostess / greeting team were amazing also.
Ambience was good.
Food was great, dessert selection was great!!
Had a good red wine at a great price.
Wish they can add more wine to the list though.
The service was great overall and staff was friendly. I would like to go back.
First of all it was the classic ‘Wait staff was more important than the customer’. Ie she was not warm, she did not react appropriately to me asking her not to tear down my table set for four before my guest arrived as we didn’t know yet where she would like to sit, and a smile only came after my guest arrived and she was recognized as a regular.
The food was unexceptional to say the least. The walnuts in my salad were rancid but I felt I couldn’t tell her that. My seafood pescatore, well the seafood was very over cooked and the pasta and sauce nothing to write home about. Barely ate half and again didn’t feel it would go anywhere but an eye rolling if I spoke up about it.
Wine choice by the glass was wonderful.
Been a while haven’t returned to this restaurant but had occasion to recently for business supper with out of town clients.
Great wine list and affordable wines (great San giovese Cabsauv) by the way !
We started with grilled calamari and bruschetta -both very fresh and delicious! Then we ordered our mains- pizzas; cioppino ; fettuccine with seafood ; Oslo bucco; grilled branzino fish and risotto ; and grilled steak. All were delicious and full of flavour . Everyone raved and we’re happy! Lobster bisque was delicious and full of lobster chunks ! Caesar Salad too was delicious .
Desserts - apple crumble with vanilla gelato ; tiramisu ; pecan pie -all delicious too ! Overall everyone was happy and full and would definitely return . Great service as well -very attentive !
We've eaten here a few times now and the quality of the food never disappoints. Service was beyond our expectation this second time as well. Recommend it.
From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was delicious.
Food was excellent it was difficult to get our waiter’s attention but to be fair the restaurant was very busy. Once we could catch his eye he came quickly but it was hard to locate him and he did not check back with us. Would recommend for the very good food
My parents treated us for our 24th wedding anniversary. My dad is a SUPER fussy diner and he LOVED his dish! We all enjoyed what we ordered and the portion sizes were good. The waitstaff were very helpful with suggestions as well. We will certainly return!
Great food and service; it is a bit pricier but then again, it's not your average family restaurant. A great venue for special occasions or a memorable night out.
My favourite restaurant in Oakville! The food was delicious as always and the service was excellent!
It was a lovely evening overall.
Had a great experience. Staff was friendly and the service was attentive. The seafood platter came in a little cold for our taste but was flavourful. Our out of town guests were impressed and that was the reason for traveling so far to Oakville.
We go often as it’s our family’s favourite Italian in the neighbourhood.
Can’t wait to go again.
good food, beautiful atmosphere - location wasn't the best - parking horrible
Our dinner was amazing as always ! Our server who we have gotten each time we’ve eaten here is outstanding!
Professional and very knowledgeable. He made our experience fantastic!
We’re not regulars, like others are, but have always enjoyed our experiences at the restaurant, from back when it was on The Lakeshore to the current location. We’re always treated as regulars when we’re there - welcoming hostesses and friendly, efficient serving staff.
The food is always consistent. Consistently wonderful. I don’t recall ever having anything that wasn’t cooked to perfection.
In closing, Trattoria Timone is a wonderful restaurant, well worth the investment of a couple of hours of your time! We’ll be back again!
It was very noisy, hard to have a conversation. The food arrived very hot, which was good but it was bland. Our server was very good, she was attentive. I tried to book for 6:30, but that time was unavailable. I watch the entire time we were there and there many empty tables.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a while - and I am extremely picky (code for snobby) - everything was delicious! I had the lobster ravioli - my husband had the cioppini
Overall, it was a good experience. The food was very good and the service good as well but the restaurant was very busy.
Fantastic food. Was my son’s birthday and he was treated to a brownie and ice cream on the house which we all ate!!! Delicious and great place!!
Went with my family for my birthday dinner. Massimo took good care of us, my parents are tough to please and they were in love with the menu! I had the osso buco, my guests had the jumbo seafood ravioli, rack of lamb, veal shank, and a seafood pasta. The calamari was so good, my parents had 4 orders just because. Thank you for a great experience!
Very good restaurant. Too bad it doesn’t have nicer surroundings.
Overall, my experience was subpar. The restaurant interior is beautiful and has great decor, but the value is definitely not worth the money. I ordered the paella risotto, and it was definitely not made as a risotto, the sauce was not sticking to the Arborio and needed some more flavour, and the cut of the peppers also needs to be consistent - they were large uneven chunks. The dessert was really well done though, I ordered the pear and ricotta cake, and I would recommend that.
Everything was fine. Beef Carpaccio was a bit too thick. Tuna ap was nice. Veal with prosciutto was excellent. Steak was lovely. Mashed potatoes were a bit bland.
Once again, excellent. Our go-to place for a pre-movie dinner out.
Service was very slow tonight. Unfortunately we did not have one of the wonderful long time waiters . Had to send my duck confit back to get crisped up and disappointed they took my favourite dish off the menu
Amazing food as usual !!!
