The pizza was delicious... Just like in Europe. I had the one with Gorgonzola cheese and it was amazing. I enjoyed every bite, and it was big enough for leftovers. The place is very charming and cosy .The Polish server we had was absolutely lovely. My best friend took me out for my birthday dinner there and it was absolutely amazing. :)
First time there. Loved the ambiance. wonderful server. Great pizza perfect Arancini. Authentic drinks. Fresh pasta. Excellent olive oil. Accommodating kitchen. Will go back.
This place is a must try! Their gnocchi Venezia is amazing!! The gnocchi is made each morning and you can taste the quality and the authenticity. It is such a small yet cozy restaurant, perfect for any occasion.
Consistently delicious food and outstanding service
New years Eve was busy with many turned away. Some initial confusion with the reservation - name recorded wrong Meal was great with homemade noodles . Nice bread With salad & all no way we could look at deserts. Owner is from Calbria & continued to run after husband died. Also operate a second place on King. Lesbian couple provided the entertainment!
This is our favorite Italian place, and we've been coming here for years.
My boyfriend and I are really thankful that you made us a Nutella Pizza even though it wasn’t on the menu. That was great customer service. Our dinner was also really tasty, hot and fresh. We will definetly come back for more when we visit Toronto again.
Great food. Cozy atmosphere!
We had s wonderful meal at Trattoria Taverniti! Fabulous pasta and pizza, outstanding service and intimate authentic atmosphere.
Great homemade and fresh taste. Well informed staff provided great service.
Authentic Italian food. Great service and atmosphere.
Love love love this place! Amazing service, fantastic atmosphere and terrific food!
Love, love, love this place - can't beat it for authentic, simple, warm and friendly experience. We keep on coming back!
My wife and I had an amazing experience at Trattoria Taverniti. The food was top notch. Everything tasted fresh and we even had a 15 min conversation with Rosina Taverniti, who makes all of the sauce and many of the dishes herself to this day. It was a small but welcoming dining room. Our waitress was a lovely Italian woman, I don’t recall her name, but she made our meal seamless. Probably my new favorite restaurant in Toronto.
The food was not worth the price, the spaghetti was not cooked enough, the salad was DRENCHED in olive oil and was the same salad quality you get from boxes at Sobey’s. And it cost 11 dollars. The wine selection was overpriced for its quality.
Delicious food. Bad service. Terrible table!
We had to wait to be seated, despite our reservations. Then we waited 15 minutes and had to ask before we were finally given menus. No mention of the specials. The entire order took an hour to arrive.
But the biggest problem was that we were seated right at the door with 6 to 10 people standing there crowded around us for most of the meal. The 2 servers were trying their best but it's too busy. If there was a sign outside on the door that said, "We're not able to accommodate anyone without reservations until 9 pm," it would have saved having the door opened constantly and people crowding around, waiting to ask if they could be seated as walk-ins.
The Italian food was as good as I've ever eaten but it was the worst dining experience I've ever had.
Always a good and tasty meal. Reasonable price. Excellent pizza and pasta. In winter can be a bit draughty because it’s a small place. But I go there anyway!
Exceptional food at a reasonable price - my favorite restaurant to go to when we go to Toronto
I never write reviews - but my experience at this restaurant was so bad I have to mention. We had a reso for 9pm, showed up for 9pm -> the wait staff said it would be 10 minutes. 45 minutes later, we're still standing in the front of the restaurant waiting for a table (along with 4 other parties waiting for their tables). When I approached the staff to ask how long it would be and why they hadn't checked in with us, she was super hostile and not apologetic at all. We walked out, got into the restaurant next door in 2 minutes flat. In the years I've lived in Toronto, this has never happened to me, as most restaurants in the city are super well run. Won't be going back to Taverniti, and I live in the neighbourhood.
Amazing Italian food!!!! Will definitely be back again.
It is a very traditional Italian experience, down to the last detail. The decor, the staff and obviously, the food all reminded me of what it was like sitting at the dinner table growing up. Nonna goes in daily to make the pasta fresh, and it really shows. Some of the best pasta I've had in my life!
Was really good but an enormous amount of fruit flies were around us while we were eating.
Taverniti has the best Calabrese Pizza!! Great food and friendly staff!!
Such a cute place, with phenomenal food and excellent at-home-feeling service. It felt like i was in an italian family's kitchen dining room and it was just great! Would recommend!
The food could have been seasoned better. After being seating took almost half an hour before someone came over and we got to order. Small place.
Was traveling from Chicago and happened upon this restaurant by chance. We had Gnocchi and pizza. Great food with very friendly service. Very small. I suggest a reservation.
I really like the food very tasty and authentic Italian flavour. The only problem is not AC and was very hot inside my friend was affected by the temperature inside the restaurant for that reason we were not available to finished.
Greatest authentic Italian cuisine I have ever eaten at - and I eat out a lot!
Amazing food and value as always!
Pasta sauce tasted like it was out of a can. No care put into food. Just churning it out.
Incredibly hot in the restaurant during the summer months.
Food was great, servers were clearly overwhelmed and not attentive.
Trattoria Taverniti is a gem in Little Italy. The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, great beer and wine list, and romantic ambiance. I took my wife there to celebrate our anniversary and we both enjoyed the evening and can’t say enough about the hospitality and food.
If you want authentic Italian food in a cozy romantic atmosphere , visit Trattoria Taverniti.
Been here a number of times and we will keep coming back - great food, authentic and friendly. Never disappoints!
Did was excellent and the service was great. Our only issue was the heat. It happened to be a very hot evening and the ventilation was non- existent. Our experience would have been way more enjoyable if there were some fans or even air conditioning!
The service was fast and friendly. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner. However you should know they do not have air-conditioning. So if the heat bothers you wait for the weather to cool down
Great restaurant with wonderful food and pleasant service. We happened to be there on a hot summer night and no air conditioning. Otherwise would go back many times in the Fall!
No air conditioning. Food was mediocre at best. Expected more flavour and better quality.
Experience was great. Quick to get food. A little warm in the restaurant since air conditioning wasn’t working.
It was fantastic. This was our first visit. We will be back many more times. Homemade pasta. Everything was amazing. Loved our experience.
