Always have an amazing meal at Taverniti. The pasta is so fresh and perfectly cooked.
Trattioria Taverniti is always the best! My favorite restaurant in little Italy - with amazing and authentic pasta. The service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is lovely. 11/10!
Restaurant is very cozy and authentically Italian. The gnocchi was fantastic.
Awesome! Great food and we were checked on a lot.
authentic Italian restaurant with a great menu, great atmosphere, a very enjoyable experience.
We would recommend Trattoria Taverniti to a friend because the menu has great variety, the ambience is very pleasant, the wine is affordable and the food is delicious tasting like it was made at home. the setting is within a comfortable community. The service is friendly and helpful.
What a great place. Nona is rocking it with food and the rest of the house is top notch on service. If you can, come here, you will be pleased.
Great friendly service and meal suggestions, with alterations. Really good Gnocchi!
Always cosy and fun with great service and amazing food
I love this place so much - by far my most favourite restaurant in Toronto. I have been here many times, however, last time we had to wait 50 min past our reservation to get a table. It ruined our experience of the restaurant as it was already late and we were tried of waiting. This is the first time this happened to me and I’m scared that this will continue to happen again.
Food and service were amazing- I haven't' had Italian food this good in a long time! We loved the vibe of the small restaurant. It was quite busy but we really enjoyed our experience. Will definitely come back.
A sweet family style environment, with great service and a kind atmosphere. The food was amazing, traditional, and heartwarming. Love it!
Always fabulous - great food, warm, friendly service - we love this place!
Great authentic Italian food. Service was great and friendly and the ambiance is nice and romantic. Really great experience :-)
For the warmth of the service & the greatest gnoccsi!
Authentic italian food! Best pizza I ate in Toronto (la Rosina). A lot of the food is handmade and you can feel it. Would recommend 100%
One of the best pizzas in town, great service and great ambiance with background music that does not impact conversation (which unfortunately is an issue at many restaurants in this City)
The BEST gnocchi I've every had! Can't wait to go back! This is the real deal when it comes to Italian cuisine.
I found this gem at the top of my search in “best restaurant in little Italy” and I do not disagree - though this opinion doesn’t really matter as it is the only one I’ve been to.
The staff first off is Italian which already made me feel at home - it reminded me of meals with my family. It is also a good sign as who knows better Italian food than an Italian??
Furthermore, the exposed brick and arched windows provide a beautiful atmosphere reminiscent of my childhood. The music is a mix of Italian and more mainstream stuff, which I enjoyed thoroughly.
Now for the food. I ordered the straciatella soup, one of my favourites, and it was amazing. I try to make it at home constantly and I just can’t seem to get it right. We also ordered the arancini - Italian style rice balls stuffed with mozzarella and risotto. These were delicious and paired nicely with the sauce provided. For dinner we split the Venezia pizza and the rigatoni bolognese. The pizza was good, and the rigatoni was amazing. You could tell the sauce was done in the traditional manner. For dessert, we enjoyed a lovely piece of tiramisu, another favourite.
Overall, you can’t go wrong if you go to this place. The staff is lovely, the atmosphere is great, and the food is to die for. 100% would recommend.
First restaurant that has ever turned me into a regular!
The food is always excellent. The atmosphere is casual and cozy.
The food was really good and the hole team was really kind. The only bad thing was that we have a booking for 7:45pm and it was full at that time so we had to wait for 15min to be seated.
Always a favourite. Great service always. Delicious food!!
The pizza was delicious... Just like in Europe. I had the one with Gorgonzola cheese and it was amazing. I enjoyed every bite, and it was big enough for leftovers. The place is very charming and cosy .The Polish server we had was absolutely lovely. My best friend took me out for my birthday dinner there and it was absolutely amazing. :)
First time there. Loved the ambiance. wonderful server. Great pizza perfect Arancini. Authentic drinks. Fresh pasta. Excellent olive oil. Accommodating kitchen. Will go back.
This place is a must try! Their gnocchi Venezia is amazing!! The gnocchi is made each morning and you can taste the quality and the authenticity. It is such a small yet cozy restaurant, perfect for any occasion.
Consistently delicious food and outstanding service
New years Eve was busy with many turned away. Some initial confusion with the reservation - name recorded wrong Meal was great with homemade noodles . Nice bread With salad & all no way we could look at deserts. Owner is from Calbria & continued to run after husband died. Also operate a second place on King. Lesbian couple provided the entertainment!
This is our favorite Italian place, and we've been coming here for years.
My boyfriend and I are really thankful that you made us a Nutella Pizza even though it wasn’t on the menu. That was great customer service. Our dinner was also really tasty, hot and fresh. We will definetly come back for more when we visit Toronto again.
Great food. Cozy atmosphere!
We had s wonderful meal at Trattoria Taverniti! Fabulous pasta and pizza, outstanding service and intimate authentic atmosphere.
Great homemade and fresh taste. Well informed staff provided great service.
Authentic Italian food. Great service and atmosphere.
Love love love this place! Amazing service, fantastic atmosphere and terrific food!
Love, love, love this place - can't beat it for authentic, simple, warm and friendly experience. We keep on coming back!
My wife and I had an amazing experience at Trattoria Taverniti. The food was top notch. Everything tasted fresh and we even had a 15 min conversation with Rosina Taverniti, who makes all of the sauce and many of the dishes herself to this day. It was a small but welcoming dining room. Our waitress was a lovely Italian woman, I don’t recall her name, but she made our meal seamless. Probably my new favorite restaurant in Toronto.
The food was not worth the price, the spaghetti was not cooked enough, the salad was DRENCHED in olive oil and was the same salad quality you get from boxes at Sobey’s. And it cost 11 dollars. The wine selection was overpriced for its quality.
Delicious food. Bad service. Terrible table!
We had to wait to be seated, despite our reservations. Then we waited 15 minutes and had to ask before we were finally given menus. No mention of the specials. The entire order took an hour to arrive.
But the biggest problem was that we were seated right at the door with 6 to 10 people standing there crowded around us for most of the meal. The 2 servers were trying their best but it's too busy. If there was a sign outside on the door that said, "We're not able to accommodate anyone without reservations until 9 pm," it would have saved having the door opened constantly and people crowding around, waiting to ask if they could be seated as walk-ins.
The Italian food was as good as I've ever eaten but it was the worst dining experience I've ever had.
Always a good and tasty meal. Reasonable price. Excellent pizza and pasta. In winter can be a bit draughty because it’s a small place. But I go there anyway!
