Trattoria Sorrento Ratings and Reviews
Trattoria Sorrento is one of our favorite restaurants. The service is excellent especially if you have Miranda. They will accommodate you if it is possible, I have been their a number of times and they have done everything possible to make sure we are enjoying ourselves. The food is very good, as are the drinks. It is great for a date, special occasion, group event, or business dinner. It is my favorite family owned restaurant. I recommend them to all my friends.
The service was extremely slow and server would serve others coming after us.
There was bug flying around on the dinner table.
No one would ask if we needed water refill.
They automatically charged 20% gratuity without asking us and even with the poor service.
Loved this place! I can't believe I have not discovered it before. It's hard to find a quiet restaurant where you're not on top of your fellow diners - and you can have a conversation without yelling... We loved the ambiance here and the food was delicious - and not overpriced. We will definitely be back.
Based on prior reviews, I was expected a quiet restaurant with some good classic Italian food. we were instead met with a very loud and overly crowded restaurant. Our table edge was literally stabbing into the back of the gentleman next to us and every time he moved our entire table shook. Service was lacking to say the least. It took 10 minutes for us to be seated despite having a reservation as no one seemed to know it was their job to seat us. When our dinner was (finally) served, our fish sat there for 7-8 minutes with us begging someone to actually do the deboning they offered. We asked for Parmesan cheese which they promptly provided AFTER the meal was complete and the check was delivered. Overall the service was terrible and the food was pretty mediocre. I will not be going back.
My business partner and I ate at Trattoria Sorrento on a recommendation from a local food source. Clearly she was correct. The hostess was gracious and especially knowledgeable. The specials were varied and made it hard to choose. Our entree selections and wine choices did not disappoint. Rather, they made for a memorable experience. We will be back.
Lovely, traditional southern Italian restaurant. Nice service until it got bisy, then had to flag for additional wine. Reasonably priced, delicious antipasto platter. Surprised to be charged for two desserts (that we hadn't ordered) to commemorate our two milestone birthdays, but we paid without calling attention to it since we were hosting family.
Tratorria Sarento was a great dining experience. The service was prompt and our server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was excellent, I had an unusual Pesto dish with goat cheese that was delicious. It was a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.
We visited on Mother's Day, and expected it to be busy, but our experience was borderline ridiculous. The food was just ok, and the service was pretty bad. I understand that they were busy, but they crammed us in a corner, and had chairs just stuck on to the ends of all of the tables. My mother and mother-in-law kept being bumped by the patrons at the table in front of us. My entire backside rubbed up against the person sitting at the table next us when we were seated. There was maybe one foot of space between our table and the surrounding parties. Our food was delivered on time, but our server visited our table maybe four times, these four times include the times she came to take our order. We received our to-go boxes from a different server, and waited a full twenty minutes for our check, which we only got after requesting it from the host. When we finally received it, it was incorrect. The server had charged us for twice as many drinks as we had actually ordered. This mistake was corrected fairly quickly, but the experience had obviously already been ruined. Maybe the food and service is better on regular days, but I'm not willing to find out.
A good range of food on the menu. There were 4 of us, and we ate different items, including the house calamari, beet salad, branzino, veal parmigiana. It was all good.
The branzino was a "special of the day" and was priced accordingly -- which we didn't know until we got the bill!
Most of the items on the menu were between $25 - 32. The waiter told us the specials and we asked the price. He said "about the same". The check showed $ 39 for a veal special. For a restaurant with "no table cloths" and outdated decor, I do not think it is good value.
