The service was extremely slow and server would serve others coming after us. There was bug flying around on the dinner table. No one would ask if we needed water refill. They automatically charged 20% gratuity without asking us and even with the poor service.

Loved this place! I can't believe I have not discovered it before. It's hard to find a quiet restaurant where you're not on top of your fellow diners - and you can have a conversation without yelling... We loved the ambiance here and the food was delicious - and not overpriced. We will definitely be back.

Based on prior reviews, I was expected a quiet restaurant with some good classic Italian food. we were instead met with a very loud and overly crowded restaurant. Our table edge was literally stabbing into the back of the gentleman next to us and every time he moved our entire table shook. Service was lacking to say the least. It took 10 minutes for us to be seated despite having a reservation as no one seemed to know it was their job to seat us. When our dinner was (finally) served, our fish sat there for 7-8 minutes with us begging someone to actually do the deboning they offered. We asked for Parmesan cheese which they promptly provided AFTER the meal was complete and the check was delivered. Overall the service was terrible and the food was pretty mediocre. I will not be going back.

My business partner and I ate at Trattoria Sorrento on a recommendation from a local food source. Clearly she was correct. The hostess was gracious and especially knowledgeable. The specials were varied and made it hard to choose. Our entree selections and wine choices did not disappoint. Rather, they made for a memorable experience. We will be back.

This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites! It's worth the $20 Uber ride from DC. Fabulous home made Italian fare and specialties. Great service. Attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff.
