Trattoria San Pietro
First off, the 7:15 reservation turned into close to 8 pm seating
I’m not sure why they don’t book reservations further apart
The food is very good and consistent.
Irritated that no mention of our long wait was given by waitress and also that soft drinks have no free refills
$4 for 2 diet cokes for my daughter
Honestly we love this place but I would struggle to go back
We celebrated our 30th anniversary
Food was fabulous as always. Best risotto this side of Rome and the special ravioli stuffed with crab was special.. Great night of dining!!
Very good Italian food. Good service, nice atmosphere as well. We will be back again!
Food was excellent. It was very busy on mother’s day which caused disturbances in service. The venue is very loud.
Great food, but loud.
I took my family to Trattoria San Pietro for this past Mother's Day and it was FANTASTIC. My parents are STILL talking about it - the meatballs were such a hit as an appetizer that my dad ordered them for his meal! It's a great vibe with excellent service and outstanding food. My mom had such a hard time picking her meal because everything on the menu sounded so delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone who enjoys delicious Italian food!!
Even though the restaurant was extremely busy because it was Mother’s Day the service food and ambience were great
This table of 4 had a delicious dinner at Trattoria San Pietro. The filet was like butter and the demi glace, was amazing. Two had chicken parm, which they loved, and 1 had the swordfish special which she enjoyed too. I recommend this highly recommend this restaurant but it can get rather loud at times, if noise is an issue for you. This particular night there was a mellow crowd, so the noise level was fine. The cocktails and wine list are great and the wait staff very busy but also very nice and professional. This place is one of our family favorites on the South Shore. It's in a very pretty building and has nice views of plants and flowers from Village Gardens across the way.
We had the most amazing evening, all the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food, can't say enough how delicious everything was. My husband and I want to keep coming back to try everything on the menu. Definitely one of the best restaurants we have been to.
First let me say that our sever Dennis was excellent! Our meal was very good and the drinks were unique!! We were very disappointed in that we had indicated on our Open Table reservation that it was our 31st wedding anniversary and asked for a bouquet of flowers at the table. Not only did they not recognize our anniversary but we were told by the hostess on the way out that they don’t do flowers! It would have been nice to know before we got there!
I now must amend my review. Shortly after posting I was contacted by the manager of Trattoria San Pietro, Anna, and told there was a misunderstanding when reading my request that accompanied the reservation. Although the restaurant does not provide flowers at the table they should have notified me. The next day, much to our surprise, a beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived at our home. Thank you Anna! We will be back!
Always an excellent meal, particularly the lamb and most of the pasta offerings. Good wine selection as well and specials bring some new items into a very solid menu each time I have dined.
Excellent food, quiet Tuesday evening, great service! Always wonderful!
Never a bad time here. Staff, food atmosphere is always great.
The Halibut was cooked to perfection. The side of Broccoli Rabe that was sauteed with garlic was outstanding. The Ossa Bucca special was mouth watering.
Wednesday evening birthday dinner for a friend. The service was great. The food and cocktails were both excellent.
Always outstanding!!!! Its the best restaurant on the South Shore
We have dined there on several occasions and all experiences have been positive.
Awesome restaurant! Consistently great food and service! Never disappointed!
We arrived for a 7:30 reservation our party of 4 was immediately seated. Ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. Noise level is very loud. Seating is very close to other tables. Food was very good but we all felt a little pricey. Due to the noise level we will probably not return, it is a 45 minute drive from where we live and felt it isn't worth the drive.
Waitress never came by to ask if we wanted another glass of wine or to ask how we liked our dinner
Absolutely, positively WONDERFUL!!! We have been talking about our dinner at Trattoria San Pietro all weekend - it was phenomenal. We went on a Friday night and got a great corner seat by the windows. The decor and ambiance in and out of the restaurant are adorably Italian and so cozy. The service was outstanding - our waitress was professional, talented, and nice, and a perfect combo of checking on us but giving space. The food was incredible - we each got a different dish and basically licked it clean it was so fabulous. And the DESSERT! Oreo mousse cake, wow. Still dreaming of it. The price was right too. Everything the perfect and we can’t wait to go back. Would highly recommend this restaurant!!
We eat here or take-out approximately 3x per month. Consistently the best Italian restaurant in the south shore Tonight they made the unbelievable grilled calamari which wasn’t on the menu. Sooo good.
I WOULD RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FOES, IT WAS OUTSTANDING!!
Love this restaurant and the food. Never had a bad experience
Awesome restaurant consistently great food and great service!
This is a local restaurant for us and one we’ve been to many times. It has never let us down. The food is excellent as is the service.
Love Trattoria San Pietro! Brought our 15 year old daughter and she's decided this is where she wants to go for her next birthday. Had an antipasto and cuore di carciofi ripieni for appetizers and both were exceptional. My husband had the filet mignon and my daughter and I both had the penne alla boscaiola for dinner. Finished it off with tiramisu and mascarpone cake and cappuccino. It was an amazing dinner all around. The only negative is the noise level. With their high ceilings, the talk of other diners can get quite loud.
Thank you Greg for such a lovely review!! I agree with you that the noise level is a problem. I am looking into noise panels for the ceiling and walls. I will hopefully have it taken care of in the coming months!
We have been dining here for many years - it has never disappointed. Food is incredible and is always delivered piping hot.
The food here is good and they have a reasonable wine list. My biggest issues are that the tables are very close together and that the noise levels are so loud it becomes difficult to carry on a conversation among four people at a small table.
They really need to do something about the noise. Just a few sound panels or curtains on the windows would probably help a lot. Maybe less crowded table area too.
Great restaurant to entertain clients and or a nice dinner out with family and friends
This is the second time that we have been seated near the door. It is cold and windy when customers entered the restaurant. Suggest that this area is screened from the front entrance.
I haven’t been in several months but if consistency is the key to success she doesn’t need to change anything.
The service, food and atmosphere was outstanding! I’ve noticed the new additions to the menu, wine list and a beautiful dessert case! Best restaurant on the South Shore!
Our meal was delicious- we went to dinner with friends and have been to this restaurant several times. The food is always delicious. Also our waitress was great!!
Food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. The one person in our party who ordered a mixed drink (very dirty martini) said it was awful. However, I would definitely go back again and I'm guessing there was a mix-up or oversight on the mixed drink so I wouldn't hesitate to try a cocktail.
Loud and bustling restaurant. Difficult to carry on a conversation. Warm welcome at the door but took 10 min to get eye contact from very busy waitstaff once seated. Ordered a bottle of wine and it was brought without glasses. 5 min wait for wine glasses. Service was simply inattentive and a bit off-putting with the exception of the young woman who was assisting our table. She was phenomenal. Bread was delicious - warm, crusty and chewy. Pasta was al dente. Chix parm and frutti de mare were unremarkable.
My wife and I had stuffed pepper appetizer was excellent as well as side Caesar Salad was very good . The Pear Martini my wife said was outstanding. For Entree’s I got Mahi Mahi with potatoes and mixed vegetables mouth watering excellent. My wife got Sausage Broccoli Rabi as excellent
Outstanding every time! Our favorite restaurant. Great service and great food
