Trattoria San Pietro Ratings and Reviews
I haven't eaten at this restaurant for several years but we were taking a friend out for birthday dinner and he picked this place. We weren't disappointed! It is a little noisy probably from the high ceilings but we were able to communicate well even though our friend is hard of hearing. The waitperson was very attentive and made some good suggestions regarding the specials. The wine list is good and prices reasonable.
The bread was excellent.
I had the linguini all vongole with garlic and oil and it was wonderful. I love this dish and if you do also you won't be disappointed. Our find had the swordfish special with roasted veggies and loved it. So did my partner. The desserts come from a well known pastry shop in Boston's North End and they were delicious!
There are lots of classic Italian dishes on the menu so I want to go back and try some of those. All in all, a very good restaurant
Delicious as always! One of my favorite places to dine hands down!
Started with sautéed calamari in red sauce, different and scrumptious. We share the Bolognese and Calms with linguine, garlic and oil; my absolutely all time favorite! When I want this recipe done right it's off to Trattoria San Pietro. Of course finishing with Whole Lemon Sorbets. YUMMY!
The cinnamon ravioli , filled with pumpkin was delicious! Bread was delicious. Quiet, it being a Tuesday evening. Celebrated our 30th Anniversary. The waiter brought out 3 scoops of gelato with candle lit in the middle to help us celebrate! Service a little slow, but we were in no rush. Can't wait to go back and try another dish!
Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated. The food is excellent and authentic cuisine. Only problem was that they did not have red wine glasses available for the wine we ordered. The waitress asked if we wanted to wait 10- 15 minutes while the glasses were being washed . For a restaurant this size they should have more red wine glasses available. Also the carrots in the vegetable medley were not cooked. Otherwise everything was delicious and it was a wonderful night.
My husband and I wanted to go somewhere new for a much-needed date night. The restaurant was so beautiful, with dim lighting. We split a bottle of pinot grigio, got a couple of pasta entrees that had the most delicious mushrooms. We split a piece of cake that huge and so rich. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Seating could be an issue as some tables for two were close. I think our bill was about $75 or so. We look forward to going back.
I thought that the food was delicious, that the service was excellent with a waitress
with a fine memory. The trattoria was clean and well appointed. The lighting was not too
bright but not too dark either. I expected (from reading other reviews) that the noise
level would be high. It was not. It stayed at a comfortable level throughout our 2.5 hour
stay. (No one tried to hustle the 6 of us seniors out of there.) Overall, I was very pleased
with our choice. I would go back without hesitation.
Made an open table reservation spur of the moment before our sons high school football game. Trattoria was able to easily accommodate us and the staff and waiters were very friendly. I had a great chicken parm and my wife had the ravioli special. Both were great. We were in and out in 45 minutes as they were aware of our scheduled event. A great time and I would highly recommend.
I totally enjoyed my meal. It was the second time at Trattoria San Pietro and I ordered the same thing because it was so good the first time -- the Crespelle Imbottite. Just as good the second time. The only thing that was less than wonderful was the noise level -- not sure what you can do to lessen that. I was in the room nearest the door. Perhaps the other room is quieter -- next time I will try that room.
Loved It! Calamari appetizer with olives and capers was grilled and delicious. The rack of lamb was excellent. Pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe rivaled this combo at other top restaurants. The lobster ravioli with shrimp and zucchini was so perfect I could eat it every night....we will be back!
Dinner was great except our baby's highchair was bumped into several times with the dessert cart. We could have been placed at a better table. Also had to wait a long time before we were asked if we wanted any drinks from the bar. I have been here many times before but the service this time was not great. Servers seemed friendly enough but inexperienced.
As always the food and service here are great.
Our biggest problem is the last of sound-deadening surfaces which make it impossible to maintain conversations once a few tables are seated. We try to arrive early to mitigate the issue. Of course, if you like having to shout to the person seated across for you, it's not going to be a problem for you!
This restaurant had no kids menu and limited options. We had our three younger daughters with us (ages 8,8, and 6) and it was somewhat difficult to get pasta with butter for them. They told us they had no spaghetti and after everything was ordered we saw a plate of fettuccine go by which I would think is an acceptable option to spaghetti? We weren't even given this option. No draft beers, cocktails were so strong they were undrinkable. There were limited traditional dishes as well. It seemed as though they were out of or just didn't have most of the things we asked for.
The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice but we will probably not return.
We loved coming here again. Everyone said their food was delicious. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Someone was there to get our drinks and gave us bread while we waited for our guests. Entrees and drinks were served timely. The only concern was how desserts are served at his restaurant. Pushing and showing a cart of desserts may seem quaint and provide an intimate touch but how sanitary is this? This same cart of goodies were wheeled back and forth from table to table and not even refrigerated in between. The wait staff are touching (though lightly) the plates as they are describing the dessert to the patrons. The restaurant can't control their staff or people coughing, sneezing, breathing or touching this display. We would of preferred our desserts cold versus room temperature. Certainly the air quality involved with sanitary storing, display and serving the desserts are questionable in this age of 'germs.' I would not have a problem coming back to this wonderful restaurant. I just would not get the desserts in the fashion that they were served.
we have dined here many times. I always get the same meal: pork chops with vinegar peppers. usually very good, depends on thickness of chops. excellent chicken parm . one member of the party was disappointed with the mussels appetizer. he thought they were very gamey. overall: very nice evening.
