Trattoria Rosa Bianca Ratings and Reviews
I always consider myself so fortunate that I live so close to Rosa Bianca. It has become a favorite weekend and weeknight spot to have dinner if I don't feel like cooking. Rosa and her crew are great and provide the best food with the best service. Make sure to try the Ceci bean appetizer.
We live in Yardley and we have often dined at Rosa Bianca both by ourselves and with other friends. We have all enjoyed it in the past, and as a result, we selected this restaurant over all others in Yardley to celebrate my wife's birthday this time. The food was very good, as always. However, we were very disappointed with the poor service we received from our server Stefani. We imagine that she must be new on the job, and perhaps she has not received any training yet, but her lack of attention to providing proper service was very notable and unpleasant. We purchased 2 of the highest price entrees, as well as an appetizer and dessert. Since this is a BYOB restaurant, we brought a chilled rose. As soon as we were seated, Stefani came over, she told us about the specials of the day, and she stared at our chilled French rose bottle. We reminded her to provide a cooling bucket for our wine. Then, she neither offered to open the bottle nor serve us from it. We reminded her to refill water glasses. We asked for a meat knife for the lamb chops since we only had butter knives at the table. The request for the meat knife made her look back at my wife in disapproval, and when she brought the knife she laid it on top of my wife's bread plate with the blade facing my wife instead of turning the handle toward her so she could pick it up without cutting herself. This server needs training to make sure that she provides a 'fine dining' experience to patrons who choose to use this particular restaurant instead of so many other fine ones in the area. The management of Rosa Bianca needs to become aware of this and rectify the problem. The food and ambiance are very good, and it is a shame to have it all spoiled by improperly trained personnel. Again, we have always enjoyed dining here in the past.
My wife and I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Menu changes seasonally. They are willing to modify the menu to suit individual requests (e.g., wife does not like pasta or rice so requests potatoes). Prices are reasonable and portions substantial although petit plats are offered for most pasta dishes. BYOB a plus. Outdoor seating available in charming Yardley.
Excellent Food, Service at a Cozy and Moderately Priced BYOB.
Rosa Bianca is a great value. The food is excellent , with changing "specials", and comes in very sizable portions. You almost are guaranteed a "doggy bag". The appetizers are quite good and very filling. The meatballs and arancini are almost meals in themselves. Everything is prepared fresh. Service is very observant and anticipatory. Reggie is personable and his menu recommendations are trustworthy. He is a real asset to RB and to your dining experience. RB has no liquor license (Yardley is a sleepy town), so enjoy BYOB. Should you forget, there is a State Store very nearby. Parking options include a small rear lot, neighboring lots or the street -- really not a problem. And be careful -- the posted speed limit in Yardley is 25mph and enforced.
The service was very good, the food not so much. Also, there are 2 sets of stairs
for the 2nd floor. If you have a problem with stairs, call for a reservation and
advise them of this. Hopefully we caught them on a bad night. Sorry, I usually
do not give bad reviews, but the menu is very limited (my partner does not eat
Met a friend for lunch on a day that it was pouring down buckets. Very nice restaurant, beautiful ambiance, not crowded on a Tuesday. Good service. Just ordered the chicken salad, which was fine, I would've preferred more vegetables as it was basically grilled chicken breast on spinach with lumps of blue cheese, but the spinach was fresh and the chicken breast was deliciously tender. So it was a good salad. that could've used some variety. If I return, I would like to try a more interesting dish such as fish or pasta.
Love dining at Trattoria Rosa Bianco. The restaurant is beautifully appointed -- only to be outdone by the special treatment from the wonderful owners and wait staff. There was more than enough attention to our needs and the food was not only beautifully presented, but it was delicious, too. Love the fact that it is a BYOB...so we enjoyed our favorite wine, as well. The meal portions were so generous that we did not have room for dessert (although the people at the table next to us were raving about their desserts!) You won't be disappointed...and my husband especially LOVED the calamari appetizer.
This is by far the best place to dine in bucks county. Excellent. Everything. Don't miss this place. I was there 3 times last week. And every time it was just great. Service is top notch. Food is the best. Nice selection of anything you would want. Will be back any time I have a free night. Also byob so it's even better. Please go.
Great food, server was on his A-game. A little slow but it seems that several parties arrived at once. One issue with this restaurant is noise - they don't seem to do very much to mitigate the noise, and somehow the acoustics cause things to get amplified. We'll be back, but would love to see some noise dampening devices in the future.
I enjoyed everything about this byob restaurant. It was a relaxed atmosphere, friendly waitress, and very good food. The arancini balls were very good, and my pasta was homemade and you could tell. Everything was delicious. And, bring along your own wine not only cuts down on the cost of dinner, but also allows you to select wines that you know you like and not have to risk a bad one....or a good one at three times the price.
I will be back for sure.
Food was very good, although all dishes were garlic heavy. Service was slow, and appetizers were brought without serving utensils. Beautiful atmosphere but where we were seated the tables were so close together that my chair kept getting bumped by servers & patrons. When crowded, it's SO loud. I couldn't even hear my husband, who was seated right next to me.
Our waiter, Dean, was responsible for 7 or8 tables on Valentine's Day! As a result, the service was a tad slow. The food was excellent and Dean was doing his best. The only disappointment was that we were seated at a two-top right next to a large COLD window.
Love going to eat here in Yardley. We introduced a couple of friends this time and they loved the charm of the place and they found the found delicious and in very generous portions. We are delighted that was the case for them as well because we keep returning to this restaurant time and time again. We have not been disappointed at any time.
We found this restaurant on SpinSaver and decided to give it a try..and we are definitely planning to go back. The ambiance is relaxing. The food is well prepared and well presented. It was obvious that they use fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and not intrusive. It's a BYOB so you can bring the wine of your choice. Go and enjoy!
Had a great dinner with another couple last weekend. We really love his place; it's convenient, its's BYO, the food is really good and, for the most part service is also very good.
Saturday night, four of us started with appetizers to share; arancini, gratinata and ceci.
Arancini were solid, as always. Rice balls filled with bolognese and fried, served atop a fresh tomato sauce. Always delicious.
Gratinata was a new menu addition; roasted fennel and parsnips with goat cheese. I love all three components and they worked well together. If I were to ask for an improvement, I'd like a better roast on the parsnip. They were slightly too wet but, I am picking nits.
Ceci is also an appetizer we have not ordered previously. Roasted chickpeas with walnuts and fregola (it's a grain) and a little ricotta dotted ontop. Very good, the chickpeas were roasted to a delicious sweetness and the dish had a combo of crunch and creamy. Very enjoyable.
A note on service. Our waiter Dean did an outstanding job but, his support was weak. Clearing plates, filling water, etc. were sloppy. At one point, the busser cleared the table next to ours and spilled coffee all over the floor. He came back a couple of times and took no notice. On the waiters. next visit, HE cleaned it up. I think they run into problems when they have party upstairs stretching staff.
Entrees; two of us had lasagna. Very good, fresh pasta, deliciously sweet pork rib meat, spinach, fresh tomato and ricotta. Very delicious. Two had the special of risotto with seafood, also very good. I like my risotto soupier and this was a little stiffer than what I love but it was exceptionally tasty, the rice was well cooked and there was a lot of seafood.
For dessert we shared two tarts. A cheese tart with blueberries and an almond tart. Very good.
Dinner for four, tax and tip came in at about $175. Very good value.
