Trattoria Romana Ratings and Reviews
Even though we had a 7:30 reservation, we had to wait about 25 minutes for our table to be ready. Several other parties were seated before us and it appeared as though they were given special priority. Our meal was delicious and the waiter was attentive but the beginning of our experience might prevent us from returning.
Originally from the Northeast, this restaurant had the authentic food , and ambiance
of a restaurant back "home". The waiter Bobby, was very knowledgeable of the wine list , and how the food was prepared , and gave us great suggestions. Cant wait to go back!!
Our family had another fabulous dinner at Trattoria Romana tonight. What set this evening apart from the many times we have dined at this Boca Raton gem, was our server,
Bobby. He was warm, attentive and had great recommendations. The langoustino and linguini was cooked to perfection. The eggplant pie thinly sliced and lightly breaded. The grilled vegetables were tender and flavorful.
Bobby responded positively and quickly to all of our requests and went above and beyond in aiming to please. We will always request to be seated at his table. It was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience and can’t wait to return to this 5 star Italian restaurant. Thanks once again Trattoria Romana and Bobby for a truly perfect evening.

Enjoy this restaurant except for one thing. If you have a reservation, they still make you wait at least 30 minutes for your table. If you wait at the Bar, the drinks are expensive.
The food is always excellent. I recommend this restaurant if you want to enjoy a good meal.
Why all the hype? Overpriced for average Italian food, extremely noisy that waiters had to shout at customers to be heard, tables crowed together as well as a table of 2 became tables for 4. This is still off season in Florida, I would hate to be here in season! Would not return.
*Our overall experience was below average, despite the very high end prices. The rating of this review would be even lower if possible were the food not as great as it was.
The food and decor here alone are worth the visit. I am disappointed, however, in the customer service and overall experience. I booked a reservation a month ago, including a note that our party is celebrating my boyfriend's milestone birthday. I even received a call the morning of our visit from a woman who confirmed the reservation and the occasion, and volunteered that if we ordered a dessert, they would sing for us to celebrate.
At dinner, while my boyfriend was in the restroom, I conversationally shared with the waiter that we were celebrating a milestone birthday for my boyfriend. While the food was amazing, I feel as though we were treated like any other customer visiting without a special occasion. Not only did the waiter/staff not sing for my boyfriend for his birthday upon bringing out dessert, they did not bother putting one candle in the dessert for him to blow out. There was no acknowledgement of his birthday whatsoever. I ended up using the tea candle on the table for him to feel special and blow out, singing to my boyfriend myself. Upon leaving, the waiter couldn't muster up the courtesy to wish him a happy birthday. As silly as all that may sound, it's those little experiential details that were lacking and definitely soured our impression of the restaurant.
What's the point in making a note of the reason you're visiting on your reservation, having the staff confirm it, but not act upon it? I will be sure to go elsewhere for the customer service expected for any, let alone a special occasion.
We were celebrating an 85th birthday.
The restaurant called to confirm and acknowledged the birthday. However, they did nothing. When we said something, someone came to the people and asked if we needed anything else.
Our party of 5 was seated at a table for 4 and the table was slanted. It was also directly in the path of the wait staff.
All of them s made for a very disappointing dinner.
My ch if the good was mediocre at best.
We arrived and New Male manager, whose name I did not get, was excellent. Server named Brian was very knowledgeable but rushed the hell out of us. We asked him at the beginning not to rush us. He insisted on taking the entire order up front. Restaurant was busy for a Thursday summer evening. We were the last seating at that table. We sat at 7:35 and we left in a hour and ten minutes. Rushed every step of the way. $275 dollars and out the door. Every step of the way my wife kept telling him to slow down. NOT A VERY GOOD EXPERIANCE>
