We use the best local ingredients as simply as possible and serve them in a combination of northern and southern Italian cuisine. Our ingredients are purchased from local, mostly organic, friends and local businesses. Chef/ Owner Bledar is proud to make his own cured meats, home-made pasta, bread and desserts.
True to the Italian culture, the warm and knowledgeable staff will make you feel right at home and graciously guide you through the amazing food selections. We love that we are here and live to celebrate both our location and our creative dishes. We would like to mention that in our trattoria we will display art work from different artists and is BYOB.
Food was delicious, service was pleasant and friendly and we will be back again
We love this place.
Food, service and atmosphere are all outstanding.
Great find in our new neighborhood
Nick, our server was great. As was the woman who brought the food(didn't get her name). The food was delicious . The broccoli rabe was the best I've had at a restaurant. The grilled calamari was tender. Prices reasonable. Will definitely be back!!
Great home made pasta specials, we always get the grilled Squid salad. This trip there was a seafood soup outstanding. Chef always greets your table and makes sure all is well.
Love this place! Great food. Great service.
Great dinner! Delicious! Would definitely go back!
It was nosier than I thought it would be, but food was great.
The food at this cozy BYOB is absolutely outstanding. We have dined here many times. Your reservation is always ready. Each dish is carefully prepared and sooo delicious. We cannot wait to return.
Amazingly good...as always! Friendly food plus delicious food!
Enjoy this restaurant during the week. The food is very good and the waitstaff attentive. However, on a Fri. night, the noise level was excruciating and ruined dinner as we had to almost yell to be heard-over the volume of others!
A gem of an Italian restaurant in Mount Airy. We enjoyed the Octopus and seafood soup as appetizers.
Everyone raved about the Swordfish, Lamb Ravioli and Lobster Ravioli as entrees. We have dined here numerous times and always had great dining experiences. Very friendly waitstaff.
Love the food. Always one of our favorite meals!
The food was excellent and the portions were quite reasonable. The service was friendly and attentive. We will be returning!
This restaurant is reliably welcoming and pleasant with delicious choices. A wonderful byob, my favorite’go to’ neighborhood restaurant. Thank you Trattoria Moma!
Always interesting food, good service but if loud folks are nearby, the noise level is bothersome.
Our party of four had a lovely meal at Trattoria Moma. We had an early reservation and it was packed in no time.
The food is delicious. Not the typical red sauce Italian restaurant although we enjoy that as well. I had the beet appetizer and veal medallions. Both were wonderful. Husband had eggplant appetizer and veal special. Loved them both.
The food was delicious and well priced. We had the Sunday prix fixe to sample lots of different choices. Not the same run of the mill Italian food. Well done.
The dinner was amazing already booked another time to go back next week!
Excellent good and service, good vibes never a bad experience
We had a large family party of 8 celebrating a couple's 20th year wedding anniversary. Each person's choice of entree was excellent. We shared about 5 desserts, each one exquisite. The honored couple are from Alaska and used to eating well. He said that if he lived nearby he would eat at Trattoria Moma often. We, who made the reservation, felt gratified at the praise. The restaurant doesn't absorb the conversation noise very well, so the noise level is a bit of a drawback. Still, the food is artfully made with a personal touch, fresh and delicious. We think it is a special place with special artisanal cooking.
I have never had a bad meal at Trattoria Moma! It's a small, cozy spot with outstanding food at reasonable prices. The owner is great and often comes out to greet the guests. The service is ok if not outstanding, but perfectly fine for this level of casual. I always recommend to friends and neighbors, but it's worth a trip to Mt. Airy just for this special little spot.
This is find- small but cozy!! It’s very noisy, unfortunately but that wouldn’t stop us from eating there again!! The food was delicious- my striped bass - lightly crisped with fresh spinach couscous and a red sauce was SO tasty and there wasn’t one bone!! My husband had seafood in a fra Diavolo sauce with pasta!! Yummy!! Service was good and it’s a BYOB!!
Nice cozy BYOB. Genuine and creative Italian dishes that go well beyond the standard tomato gravy and pasta. Meat, seafood, veggie: excellent choices for everyone.
This is a nice neighborhood BYOB where the chef-owner takes personal care to help serve the dishes he just prepared. The menu is surprisingly broad, with additional nightly specials. The food is good and prices are very reasonable; however, our server, while enthusiastic, missed two parts of our order, neither being fatal to our overall enjoyment of the meal but nonetheless noticeable. Desserts and coffee were quite good. The room is a bit noisy when busy and, clearly, the restaurant has a following. Excellent location for anyone in NW Philadelphia and especially convenient for those who want a meal pre-theatre, as there is a wonderful theatre company in the adjacent property.
I have been to this restaurant many times. The food is incredible. For this reason I brought my god-daughter. Her Dad was a chef so she has knowledge. She was truly impressed. The presentation, the taste, the authenticity of the the language used to identify the food and of course the homemade pasta
left her grateful for the visit. She commented on everything from the menu selection to the announcement of the specials of the day. She appreciated the food being served at the appropriate temperature and the unique flavors blending in the aroma as well as the taste. We had a lovely dinner together.
Our waitress was so sweet and gave us enough space and time to
pick whatever we wanted and still take care of all our needs!
Amazing food as well! 10/10
Second time we’ve been here and we were blown away, again, by the quality of the food and the excellent service. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the noise level. Not sure there’s much they can do about that and I certainly won’t let that stop me from returning.
The menu selection was varied, the food was delicious and nicely presented, the service was polite. Loved the cozy feel which reminded me of our first dinner in Puglia. A small deduction for the sound level — the wooden floors, chairs and tables coupled with a full house of people enjoying themselves will tend to get a little loud. Just noting that in case you’re planning a dinner with someone whose hearing is not what it used to be. We will be back!
What a delightful spot. Small, cozy, and quiet enough to have a conversation without screaming. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our entrees were Fettucini Moma, Pappardelle Bolognese, and Melanzana Ripiena (eggplant). All were perfectly prepared, and the pasta is clearly house-made. This is a neighborhood gem, and we will return.
A true neighborhood gem! Delicious food, terrific service and a BYOB
Absolutely exceptional experience from beginning to end. Excellent food!!!!
Wonderful neighborhood BYOB
House pasta dish is wonderful !
Fabulous as usual. The bronzino was excellent as was the ravioli. The tiramisu is light and wonderful and the canolis were crisp and tasty.
This restaurant is consistently excellent. The food and service are outstanding. Trattoria Moma delivers great meals at reasonable prices and is a longtime favorite.
First time visit. Will not be the last. It was fabulous.
Trattoria Moma is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Mount Airy. My dining companions and I each ordered a different appetizer, dinner and dessert. That gave us the opportunity to sample many of the outstanding dishes the restaurant has to offer. We loved each and every one of our selections. Quiet instrumental music in the background may encourage folks to speak in a quieter voice. The restaurant has much to offer and we will definitely return for another visit.
Food here is always delicious and very fresh. Service is always great
I have been here several times and would definitely return. The food is delicious but portions are small. Servers work as a team and are very attentive.
We're late to the party in eating at this neighborhood spot that took over the space from one of our long time favorites, Umbria. The ambiance feels a bit dark. Wish the walls were brighter and held less artwork. All a little cave-like for my taste. And to finish with the less happy news, why can't these restaurants, especially the Italian ones we've tried of late, not upgrade the bread they offer. Enough with the soft, tasteless sesame topped white bread. That being said, the rest of the meal was wonderful. We took advantage of the four course prix fixe offered on Sunday and Tuesday (cash only) and it is quite the good deal. All of our dishes were well seasoned, the pasta and gnocchi were properly cooked and my husband's veal and my lamb ossobucco were yummy. It's BYO. Another plus. We'll be back.
