Trattoria la Vigna
Excellent for a date night. The food was very flavorful and I could tell it was fresh made. Our waitress was just the right amount of attentive. I will be eating here again
If you want good Italian skip this place, they are BEYOND Good. Trattoria la Vigna is in the PHENOMENAL level of Italian food. I’ve eaten lasagna at every Italian restaurant in a 20 mile radius of Galveston county and in several cities in Italy. Before my experience here, the best lasagna to pass my lips was in Florence, Italy. Now, that honor is reserved for the Trattoria la Vigna in Galveston.
It was all sorts of perfect. I highly recommend!
We were here for Mother’s Day. It was wonderful as always Quite possibly the best Italian food restaurant I’ve eaten at
My husband and I loved the place. Small but really nice. The service was excellent and the food exquisitely prepared. The chef after dinner came to check how was the lunch. Those little touches is what my husband and I appreciate. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves prime cuisine and have a taste for authentic Italian food. Also they have a wine list which it was very good. I will return I a heart beat if I am in Galveston.
Great fix for my Italian food craving while in Galveston.
Trattoria la Vigna is one of our go to restaurants in Galveston. We go to Galveston monthly for shows at the 1894 Opera House and Trattoria la Vigna is only 1 block away. My wife loves their food and deserts (I love the food) and they have a reasonable wine selection. Service is quick (if you want quick service) and we have never been disappointed. The Veal Chop was outstanding with Mushroom sauce. Give Trattoria la Vigna a try and it may become you preferred restaurant in Galveston.
Excellent food prepared in an authentic itailian manner
Food was good but sauces lacked in taste. Chairs are beat up and need to be replaced
It was noisy, it was dirty (the floor and our tabletop.) The menus were spotted. We were not greeted when we walked in the door. It felt odd. They weren't really that busy when we arrived, but they seemed to be in a little bit of chaos. The food was fine but the rest of the experience was subpar. We had reservations after a show at the Opera House. From the pictures on Open Table, I was expecting more of a fine dining experience -- it was not.
Best Italian food I've had in U.S. since moving back from Rome, Italy in 2008. Grazie, grazie, grazie.
The food was exceptional!! The prices for such unbelievable food is VERY affordable! You will not be disappointed. The noise level seemed elevated during my visit. Don't remember that as being the norm. Overall, I would highly recommend for those that love and appreciate wonderful Italian cuisine.
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The restaurant is not as dressy as indicated online, so while it may not be appropriate to "dress down" too much, there's no need for fancy dress. When we arrived we needed help getting in, as my husband cannot do curbs anymore. Our server showed us in via the back way which houses a lovely patio with seating which we would like to try on our next visit. The waitstaff is attentive and knowledgeable. The food was very good, and there was plenty of it. Good value for the cost. The wine list was more than adequate and fairly priced. The restaurant also has a side room off the main dining room which could hold a large party. If you're in a hurry this may not be the best place as the food seems to be cooked as needed which takes longer than if it's already prepared. But we enjoyed the leisurely pace of our meal.
Often the best choice, ever. Great food and service.
Excellent food, service, wine selection, and price.
I always love the homemade pasta . The veal scaloppini was excellent but was a small portion of veal with lots of pasta. Another dish of veal was a lot of spaghetti with a small portion of veal. Service was excellent. All in all very good.
A hidden gem when visiting Galveston! Food is amazing! True Italian feel, homemade pastas, great desserts.
We travel to Galveston once a year and this is a must visit! This year we brought friends. The service has always been amazing and the food is delicious! One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the country. The house made pasta is hard to beat.
New traditional Italian restaurant. All our orders were very tasty. We will be back!
Fantastic staff and excellent food. We loved everything we ordered. The vegetation lasagna was amazing.
The food is very good but the service is so bad we probably won't return. We've had the same problem about a month ago but figured just a off night for the waiter. Went again this past weekend and same thing - just horrible. Even hard to get a refill of water.
Awesome pre-cruise dinner. Great food, beautifully decorated dining room.
Food is excellent and fairly priced!
Amazing food and an adorable location! Highly recommend! The restaurant itself matches the great food and service with it simple but classy decor
Trattoria never disappoints. We love the food and the atmosphere. We had a very large group with children and special dietary needs. We were handled graciously and thoroughly. All good.
Excellent. Been looking for a Italian restaurant in Galveston. This is it.
We went to dinner early and had the place all to ourselves. Food and service were very good and Pina came out and visited with us. Highlights: homemade pastas and desserts. Panna cotta was awesome. Salad and anti paste platter were also good to share. Prices were very fair for both food and wine. This is the sort of place we will come back to again and again.
Excelent restaurant excelent owner excellent Italian food we will going again
The grilled veal chop with mushroom sauce is fabulous!!! Our third time to visit and it’s great every time. Love, love the open kitchen. You guys rock.
Superb, outstanding food in an intimate and charming setting. Service is informal, friendly and very good.
Food was good but waiter unfortunately wasn't.
The rib eye was perfection. Order the Tiramisu, devine. This was my first time here and will definitely be back.
This is a regular place to eat for us. We took my brother and his wife and they loved it. Service was great as was the food!!
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Galveston. Don't be afraid to order off menu as they will try their best provide what you crave. Though not on menu, they whipped up a great Piccata sauce for my girl. The Rib Eye steak is a hidden gem.
Delicious food at reasonable costs and great service.
Trattoria la Vigna is our favorite Italian restaurant here in town. The food is always well prepared and consistently good.
Excellent food and service-don’t miss this Galveston gem
The best ribeye on the island. Beats Paco and Steakhouse. Vegetable lasagna explodes with fresh flavors. Chef Pina prepares her sauces from scratch daily and it makes a huge difference in the flavor. Handmade desserts to finish an amazing meal makes the experience incredible.
Excellent food! The meal was outstanding. Will definitely stop again next time were in town.
Excellent choice for the best in authentic Italian food
Late Valentine’s Day celebration with our next door neighbors. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening!
