Trattoria Grappolo is a casual Italian bistro located in the wine-producing region of Santa Ynez, California (2 hours North of Los Angeles). We have made dinner at Tratoria Grapalo an annual must-do date for dinner the night before the Wine Country Half marathon The food is great and the atmosphere conductive to conversation with out friends. A beautiful place to be when In Santa Inez

Not many restaurants in the area, but this was casual, lots of food, and fast service.
The overall value was a bit on the high side for pasta. I had the sausages and bean
dish which was a nice portion of food. The sausages were good, but the beans were
a bit hard and lacked alot of flavor.
I was disappointed that I mentioned in my Open Table reservation that it was my
husband's birthday, and nothing was mentioned or done about it.

Had an unpleasant dining experience last Saturday. Restaurant very busy (perhaps should stagger reservations to lessen inpact). Food was not good (my pizza was inedible) our waiter actually walked away from me after asking for our wine selection. Won't be returning.

They made a veal marsala for me which is not on the menu and it was excellent. Very fresh vegetables and the veal was very tender.

As always great food and excellent service. We go often and always are treated well and are very comfortable. It is popular and can get a little noisy. Serving sizes are large so we split a dish and add soup or salad, or take home leftovers.

We have been going to this restaurant for years, and is the first time we rated it so low. The service made us feel we were just pushed us thru. The place was about 3/4 full yet we had poor , then rushed service. We felt like we were at a short order diner. Food was good as usual but the evening was ruined with the poor quality and no personality service. The owners were not there so we will give it another try when we know one of the brothers will be there. Definitely check before you go!

Food was good as always but the ambiance was terrible due to the high noise level and people being packed in like sardines.
The service was distracted at best because of being under staffed as usual.
This is the main reason we have not been back there in 5 years and we are locals.

Glad to have made reservation, despite being very crowded our table was held ( only one reserved). Bar seating overlooking the kitchen, I prefer that but we had another couple with us. Definitely will be back.

A winery recommended this restaurant during our stay in Los Olivos for two nights. My husband LOVES Chicken Marsala, and even though it wasn't on the menu, upon his request, the very nice waiter immediately acknowledged the chef would make it for him. David said it was the BEST he has ever had! The entire staff was hard-working, attentive and truly cared about our entire experience. It was evident why Grappolos came highly recommended and was filled with local regulars. Thanks so much for a memorable meal and evening 🙏❤👍

This was our second visit to Trattoria Grappolo. In both cases we found the food and service both to be excellent! The atmosphere is comfortable and energetic. The staff all seem to work as a team and enjoy it. It's fun to sit at the bar and watch the food being "created". My husband and I would both give this restaurant an A+!
