Trattoria Diane Ratings and Reviews
Food was outstanding! Every bite was delicious. The service was polite but took too long at all points. The atmosphere was attractive in appearances, but was loud. We would try this establishment again but on a week night, when perhaps it is less crowded. Again, the food was amazing.
I am never disappointed by my dining experience at Trattoria Diane and tonight was no exception. The dining room is a refined and sophisticated space. The noise level is perfect for conversation. My dining companion and I were early enough for the prix fix menu. The offerings were plentiful. Our Caesar salads were perfect, my braised lamb shank was excellent as were the divine mashed sweet potatoes and al dente string beans. My berry pie was great but the highlight was the impeccable service provided by our waiter. A wonderful and civilized dining experience!
Going to Trattoria Diane is always a pleasurable dining experience. The service is accommodating and the people who work there are friendly. If your reservation time is not honored they are very courteous and will send a little something from the kitchen in apology, which is a nice touch.
Diane's has been around for years, and there's a reason why. It started off as a local pastry shop, and they ventured into sandwiches at the counter, then to a full blown restaurant. This place will be around for years.
Salmon was cooked exactly right: One Rare, One Medium.
I had the Tuscan pot roast...more than I could eat...and I can eat A LOT!! :-)
Make this a place to stop by and visit. Reservations are a MUST!
This was our first time at Trattoria Diane and it won't be our last. What a lovely restaurant with a lovely ambiance, including the staff. We were charmed as soon as we walked in. The food was nicely prepared and the menu offerings covered everyone's food preferences. We happened to be there during Restaurant Week and the menu offered some amazing deals. My family and I ordered the lamb shank, duck, and chicken under a brick and everything was delicious. The wine choices were superb as well. Since they have their own bakery, the dessert offerings were amazing. We ordered the mixed berry pie, the cinnamon apple pie, and the chocolate mousse pie....so good! Thank you, Trattoria Diane for a wonderfully memorable dinner.
For a New Years Eve dinner this experience was very disappointing. The restaurant had zero decorations for the holiday. No effort for a special menu. If we did not know it was New Year’s Eve, then the ambiance of Tratoria Dianne was boring. Frankly having eaten there several times previously, the place is very “tired”. The menu quite boring. The quality of the food was good but we felt it was overpriced for what they give you.
Considering a bakery is part of the restaurant, almost every desert had ice cream a component. Uninspiring.
Overall, not worth the price and verydisapointing
Made a specific and NECESSARY seating request when making the reservation. Restaurant called day before (too late to make other plans for New Year's Eve) and told me they could not honor the request. There are many corner tables and it was necessary as my dad has difficulty hearing with background noises. Reservation made way in advance and they were very wrong in not accommodating request. Put a real bad taste before even arriving.
Okay, now on to the actual meal. Trattoria Diane has a lovely menu and many excellent choices for dinner at a reasonable New Year's Eve price as they do not inflate their normal menu.
Service was acceptable, but not overly friendly. He seemed to really want to be somewhere else.
A delicious New Year's Eve dinner, offering their regular menu with some wonderful specials, such as goat cheese stuffed zucchini flowers appetizer. We also had the grilled portobello salad, the tuna and the salmon. We enjoyed them all as well as the prompt service with a smile. As always the desserts were special and the coffee was fresh and hot. A delightful way to end the year and usher in the new year.
Diane's is always great. Whether it's just the two of us dining or a party of 20 (for my wife's birthday), you can't go wrong. Their menu has something for everyone and their wine list is the best. Service is attentive and friendly. The desserts are great too - as they're affiliated with Diane's Bakery next door.
It's elegantly simple in decor. I shouldn't be embarrassed to grab dinner with the Queen of England here! There's enough variety to please most, even a vegan perhaps. I have not eaten everything but I've heard, and much of it is very good and a couple are just ok! It could use a little change each year , but I don't eat there a lot, so it doesn't matter for me!
As part of my daily work commute I have driven past Dianes more times than I count. So with our wedding anniversary coming, and not wanting to drive far on a cold night, we gave Dianes a try. It was a quiet night and we were seated promptly in the nearly empty, somewhat chilly, lower dining area. We were attended to quickly and promptly served a bread basket and well poured cocktails. Service was professional and pleasant throughout the meal. Unfortunately the food was somewhat disappointing; and for want of a better term.....boring. My wife's pork chop was thick and juicy, but the accompanying sweet potato, pineapple salad was nothing special and served much too cold. The Tuscan Pot Roast I had was just OK, with good mashed potatoes and vegetables as a side. In the end we had a good time, cocktails and a bottle of wine probably didn't hurt the mood; liked both the staff and the dining area but probably won't be back.
