Great waiter & lovely menu. We visit TD once every month.
Food was delicious. Restaurant is lovely. The outside area looked very nice but we decided to sit inside.
Drinks all ice no liquor.
A very good place on my short list of places when I visit family on LI in Nassau County.
Food is really good, servers attentive but a little detached on our recent visit. Nevertheless, all the entrees were excellent. Good pours for the cocktails.
Not a lot of character with respect to decor, but the food makes up for it.
Try Diane's bakery next door during the day. Awesome (but pricey) pies, tarts, cookies etc. They serve lunch as well.
lovely restaurant, great service - the bouillabaisse is highly recommended
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. Excellent service and the food is delicious. If you get there early, the price fixe menu is a great value. If I lived closer, I would come here more often.
Diane’s is classic, consistent and consistently wonderful.
This is the 2nd visit and the food was excellent across the board. Prepared as requested and the ingredients were all top notch. Nice wine by the glass selection. Attentive but reserved service. Paid attention when as required. Nice go to restaurant where you know what you are going to get. Always nice to have those standards available.
We always enjoy our dining experience at Diane’s. It was particularly nice since we had early reservations at 5:15 and sat downstairs by the window adjacent to their outdoor dining patio with natural light and a view. We had the dining room to ourselves for almost 1/2 hour. The food was delicious wonderful fresh Burrata with asparagus and tomato with pesto and olive oil. Grilled warm octopus over a fresh bed of greens The summer menu offered soft shell crabs with tomatoes delicious and my husband had the tuna perfectly cooked as ordered. For dessert we shared one of my favorites the three berry pie with vanilla ice cream. Will definitely go back and probably at the same time.
This was our second time at the restaurant. We were seated promptly. The wait staff was very attentive.
We sat upstairs which was very noisy and made it hard to have a conversation with our friends. Three of us had the Branzino and it was very tasty but the portions were a little small for the price charged. The fourth person had the Tuna and liked it very much.
Appetizer of zucchini blossoms with goat cheese overpowering goat cheese, ricotta would make better sense. Duck was over cooked and dry. Spaghetti Carbonara was awful, lacking creaminess and swimming in a sauce that broke. Desserts were the high point. Needs a new chef
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Delicious dinner, great service.
The zucchini flowers were out of this world
Appetizer and dessert super delicious. Duck tough but exchanged for another dinner. Beverages pricey
I had made a mistake and booked for 4 when I meant 6. the person in charge was more than accommodating We wound up at a lovely round table for 6 (which is easy for conversation). and had a great night!!
Past experience was excellent. This time was disappointing. Seated immediately and waited for menus, waited for wine. Out of veal chop at 7pm.
Food was very average. Service was horrible - the waiter was totally disinterested in us and got on of the appetizer orders wrong. Small, cozy restaurant with terrible acoustics. Loud.
Food was delicious! Loved the atmosphere- pleasant and enough room between tables for relaxed conversation.
Excellent and amazing dining experience
Great veal chop, and great carbonara, great mixed drinks
Great meal great service a wonderful Thursday night dinner out the fixed price is amazing and includes Diane’s wonderful desserts well done!
Nice menu selection and wonderful to eat outside. Although there were other people eating outdoors, we felt like we were forgotten. The unfriendly maitre dee also served us and it became late so we bypassed coffee and tea.
Loved this restaurant. Great attentive staff. Wonderful food. Beautiful ambiance. Will return often
The food was bland, overpriced and disgusting. Dining there is not worth the time or money.
Banzaino was excellent, duck was very good but not special. Salad appetizer was small and not interesting, should have been split i the kitchen since we were sharing.
Upstairs room was lovely and quiet.
Overall very good especially quiet room.
Diane’s almost always pleases us with great food, service, and pleasant atmosphere. Tonight it was excellent. We arrived for our reservation on time and were surprised to receive an email that our reservation was cancelled as we walked in. They seated us anyway and we had a delightful experience and a delicious dinner.
Always enjoy Dianes. Only complaint is they sorta forget about your table when you sit outside. Have to ask for drinks and the check.
Soft shell crabs were amazing, fresh and tasty. Service is always amazing
Dishes are creative and mostly tasty. Could benefit from additional spices/herbs
Food was just ok. Cocktails were wrong/off. Upstairs decor was nothing special. Told them it was my friends 50th bday when I made the reservation and when I checked in- they did nothing. Not terrible but nothing special for $200/couple.
It was great like all ways service and food awesome.
Saturday was very busy and clearly in anticipated as service not up to usual. Food excellent as always
Diane’s is always a delicious dining experience. Looking forward to going back.
First time here. Good food and good service. Limited menu. Sound level aloud conversation without screaming.
Diane’s continues to be our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Whether we are celebrating with family and friends or just want a night out, their superb menu always inspires.
Food was great. Soft shell crabs were just perfect
Lovely, awesome food. Waiter was great but kitchen was slow as it was Mother’s Day. Pot roast not great, looked liked sliced meatloaf. Chicken, bran Zion and desserts were amazing!
Excellent food, ambience, service, and management!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful Morher’s Day experience!
This was not our first time. Even though it was Mother’s Day and a bit crowded, the food was excellent. We’ve always had a great experience there.
This has to be the most overrated restaurant on Long Island. The food is passable . Although I think part of mine was spoiled and I got sick after. Stick with the bakery only. The desserts are very good. The service has to be the worst ever. AWFUL . Other than horribly slow, they don’t know the first thing about service. And to top it off the bus person put the table’s pepper grinder ON TOP of my dirty plate on top of my food I’ve eaten. GROSS! That pepper shaker went right onto another table. I’ll NEVER be back. Ugh
