Excellent food and all around experience. I have eaten at both Monica’s restaurants in the North End and they are always great. From someone who is 100% Italian, grew up on family meals and just came back from Italy, I really enjoyed Monica’s and would recommend it to anyone who likes Italian food.

The food and drinks were all amazing! The quality did not disappoint. The only complaint was the waitress seemed either new or like she didn’t care much. Did not check in or offer suggestions. That would be our only complaint

Wonderful atmosphere food, and drinks. We enjoyed the Bruschetta Buratta and Beef Meatball appetizers and the Veal Pamesean, Sausage Gnocci, and Papardelle Bolognese and all were delicious. There was even a mistake and the wrong veal dish was brought and they let us have both of them. Would highly recommend!

I know that I will always get a delicious meal at Monica's! Went on Saturday night, and it was so fun and the restaurant was energetic, as expected! Only comment was that my date and I were seated so close to other tables it felt like we were all seated together. But that's normal in North End restaurants, and part of the experience! Chicken Parm was amazing - a must order!

Good food, but it’s a busy spot with tight quarters, making it more difficult to have a conversation at lower levels. The Pappardelle Bolognese was DELICIOUS!!! Brooke was a great hostess and took good care of us!

The place is way too loud. Music playing in the background isn’t authentic Italian, but some most recent top-40 hits. The second drink I ordered sat at the bar the entire night, was included in the check; I had to tell the waiter I no longer wanted the drink because I already had the check in my hands. This is definitely the place if you want to have somewhat good, yet overpriced food, and eat it in the middle of the dance floor.

Monica’s Trattoria is a place I’m going to miss when I go back to Toronto. The food is fresh and bursting with flavour. I highly recommend this place in Little Italy if you’re visiting Boston!! Thank you to the staff for the amazing service as well!!

Food was excellent. The burrata bruschetta was delicious. Only issue is that the tables were very close to one another. Not saying this because of any COVID nonsense, but because literally someone is like inches from you while you eat.

Lovely little restaurant on the north end. We ordered the cold antipasti, veal Marsala special, pasta bolognese and ala vodka chicken parm. All was very good. Especially the bolognese. Service was just okay but it was very busy Only down side was the credit card charge of almost $10 on the bill. Seems to be the norm since Covid ended but quite honestly I don’t agree with it. If it wasn’t being charged before even though the restaurant was paying the fee they shouldn’t be charging patrons now. They even charged it before they even knew we were paying cash. Other than that very good food. So many places to choose from in that area will most likely try others before returning

Out of the four of us two people did not like their meals and one was served the wrong dish. I got a chicken parm with vodka sauce, it was so spicy I could barely eat it. There were whole peppers in the sauce. Atmosphere was nice, service other than bringing the wrong dish was good.

The loudest dining room I have ever been in! Food was disappointing considering the institutional clout of the name, mainly for lack of flavor and seasoning. Impossible to converse with my partner and unenjoyable food made for a big disappointment.

Horrible experience tonight. Apparently they had one cook working which is unlucky and not the main reason for this review. - No transparency or communication when we sat down that food will be delayed when they knew they were understaffed in the kitchen. - No offers of additional bread while we waited. - Management was no where to be seen to communicate issues or to offer any empathy. - Maybe an offer for a free glass of wine for waiting close to 2 hours? Or anything really. - Continues to seat people knowing there is a bottleneck I 100% blame management/owners. Even as an out of town guest or local, wouldn't recommend this place. Take your business elsewhere.
