First visit recently for lunch. Food and service were great. Can't say how refreshing it is not to have plates whisked away while others are still eating! Lingered a long time catching up with a friend and staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Look forward to trying other items on menu in future - salads were very good.

Bolu was the perfect place for a tasty lunch with just enough noise for a lively atmosphere and privacy of conversation.

Excellent meal! This was our first visit after a friend's recommendation. Always love a good BYO and this is one. Our reservation was 8:45 on a Friday and the place was still pretty full. The space was a little loud so it was a bit difficult to have a nice conversation. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. We shared the meatballs as an appetizer and the 6 were more than enough! I had the stuffed shells, which were delicious with a little prosciutto ground into the filling. My husband had the veal parmesan and said it was very good. He tries veal parmesan at every Italian restaurant! Good sized portions had us taking some home for another time. We will definitely be back but may ask to be seated in the front area, which may be a little quieter.

A nice local spot for fresh Itslian fare. We come her quite often for a relaxed, casual meal. The food is always well prepared and the wait staff (especially Nicole) is attentive and friendly. It's a BYOB with reasonable prices.

Took my daughter and son here the other night to celebrate their birthday. We ordered the five item antipasto which was just outstanding. YUM!! We each then had our own personal pizza. We, of course, had to sample each other's choices and they did not disappoint. Great pizza loaded with fresh ingredients, not drenched with sauce and smothered in cheese. I have been to Italy 8 times. and this meal was reminiscent of authentic Italian fare. Can't wait to return and taste their other offerings. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Bolu is a BYOB restaurant which I like. All in all, a totally enjoyable evening. Kudos to the chef/owners.

Food was outstanding and the wait staff was very obliging to our party's requests. Can get a little loud but we were there mid afternoon on a Sunday. We will definitely try an evening soon.
The main course dishes can be a little pricey - normal for the area - but there are many options to mix and match appetizers and of course great gourmet pizza!

This was a very good lunch. I had dined at another place in this little mall and thought I would give this restaurant a try. I’m so glad I did. From the assortment of 3 antipastos to the Turkey Panini, everything was delicious. The use of high quality ingredients and organic foods is a big plus!

My wife and I eat at this neighborhood gem about 3 times a month. It has always been very friendly and the food consistently good. Menu is somewhat limited, but always good. We have our favorites and they are always consistently good and the service excellent.

We visited with a large (9) family group the day after Christmas for lunch and the food was good and the service was very attentive and friendly. We were surprised by how quickly our food came out. We had pizzas, paninis, eggplant rollatini and pasta puttanesca. All were good. The drinks (non-alcoholic) were unique (e.g. homemade lime soda) and were also enjoyed.

Some of my party are older so it was appreciated that the waitress spoke loudly enough for all to hear.

I have had lunch at this restaurant previously during the work week and it was very slow so maybe they have sped the kitchen up. I will now give it another try.

Although the entire menu at this charming strip-mall BYO looked interesting, our group of 5 ended up sticking with pizza, and all were very happy with the results! Ordering pizza at this place is an experience in itself, as there are so many permutations and options, including the type of flour in your crust--this is not your run-of-the-mill pizzeria pizza! Our waiter was a font of advice and shared recommendations of his favorite combinations. Service was attentive and our dinner (topped off by a generous serving of gelato) was unhurried.

Had been here many times before but not recently. The food has gone way down. The 3 item appetizer was embarrassingly small; the supposed tiger shrimp were these tiny salad shrimp from the freezer. Pizza was not good and that was after we waited forever to get it. Hardly saw our waiter. It's a shame but won't be back. I brought 2 people from out of town and they could not understand why I had thought this was a good place to dine. Oops

I've dined at this restaurant on so many occasions over the past 6 years. It has been my go-to place for casual client lunches or dinners. It is also the only place I go when I want real brick oven pizza. This is healthy Italian at its best. The pizzas, salads, pastas, vegetables, and desserts are just fantastic. The staff is wonderful. Gustavo and Maria make you feel like family. Its a warm and wonderful casual, high quality, place to dine. It is a personal favorite.

Most recently had a late lunch with a friend, all of our food was delicious. Service keeps a close eye but doesn't hover. Menu has seasonal changes but stays reasonably the same over many years. That said, it still is never boring!
I have enjoyed dinners here with spouse, dinner with other couples, group of 30 for Sunday lunch birthday celebration and am alway pleased. BYO with limited but interestiong drinks offered.

I am in love with this place! the atmosphere is wonderful, very unique menus (on clipboards) and glasses are repurposed mason jars! the food is AMAZING, especially the almogrote that is served with the bread before your meal. I swear I could eat it alone as a meal. You can go all out with a full Italian dish, or if you're feeling simple, a salad or brick oven pizza. They have a variety of options to satisfy your taste buds!! Plus, all the servers are super friendly and helpful!!

We all enjoyed our meals but hated waiting an hour for an appetizer and 90 minutes for pizza. The restaurant was not packed so there was really no excuse. The staff did apologize a few times and gave us free dessert, but at that stage all we wanted to do was go home.

Food selections are always delicious. Some disappointments when the specials are gone or the figs are not on the menu- the figs are by far a high note.

Great music vibe, fit for the age of the diners.

The value in the food options does not translate to drinks. $3.00 soda and $4.00 iced tea is just wrong, so Byob, and spend on the excellent salads and breads.
