Had a fabulous time on a Saturday evening. The food was great, the service was excellent. Our waiter made us feel very welcome, was attentive, friendly and professional, and although we stayed for a few hours, we were not rushed at all. Great experience - highly recommend!
Too loud and service was invisible.
Johnny, 22-year veteran server extraordinaire was wonderful!
Pregame group dinner. Service was outstanding. Food was great for the price. We will definitely return!
Good food for the price. Nice staff. Odd music blend.
Great convenience; 1 block from Penn Station. Ample food portions and very tasty. Our waiter, Johnny, was terrific. Very attentive to us (i.e., iced tea refills, great disposition). Prices were very reasonable. I would definitely come here again, especially the convenience to the railroad.
Great atmosphere for a business conversation
Good food , nice and big place, good space for groups and kids.
This was the second time I had dined here with a friend. This time was even better than the first! We both had filets, mine with sauce and sauteed mushrooms and his with shrimp, creamed spinach, roasted potatoes and crispy shallots. Both of us were amazed at how tender the meat was and how delicious the sides were! The next day, we were still thinking about those steaks! We also enjoyed dessert including chocolate mousse, which was billed as being primo and house made. It was spectacular! We splurged and ordered the cheesecake with berries and raspberry sauce, which was light and scrumptious! The service was attentive, but not at all pushy. We spent several hours there having a great time! As we left, my friend turned to me and said, "This is a TRADITION!!!" I have a feeling that we will be back again, and I hope it will be soon!
Excellent. My cousins from Ireland really enjoyed the evening. Great food and service. Thank you.
Just a nice place to eat good food in NYC at a reasonable price. If it’s not on the menu or you want a change just ask.
Usually we have an absolutely great experience. Not this day. The waiters were almost rude. We had to ask that the bottle of sparkling wine not be open until all guest were present and that it be kept cool. The waiter grudgingly did so.
Ordered the large meatball tray. It was four small meatballs.
The shrimp cocktail was not up to standard. Shrimps were almost dry. The sauces were bland.
Ordered the margherita pizza. It was so loaded with cheese that I couldn't taste the tomato sauce. My friend ordered it with pepperoni. Again, so overloaded with cheese.
It was supposed to be a Birthday celebration for one of the guests. We were not asked if we wanted coffee and/or desserts. So, we had dessert at the Tick-Tock diner next door.
This is the first time I have had a bad experience. I hope it is the last.
Went with a group for a friend's birthday. The wait staff could not be friendlier or nicer. They went out of our way to make my friend and everyone in our party feel special. The food was very good, especially the inventive appetizers and scrumptious desserts. The entrée portions were large enough that most of us took something home with us and the menu was quite extensive, with something to please everyone. The price was very reasonable for a NY City restaurant too. Our only complaint was that we were seated not far from the kitchen and there was a strange odor coming from the kitchen every now and then (like a cleaning fluid). Not sure what it was, but it wasn't bad enough to ruin our evening!!
Great selection on the menu and a great value.
And elegant fish and chips which was very good
Veal was excellent. And for the vegetarians, our server got a fantastic spicy vegetable pasta custom made
They were absolutely amazing! They delivered on their word. We were on tight time constraints and when we let the staff know they were friendlly and made sure we were out on time and did not sacrifice the quality of the experience. Food was amazing! Thank you!
A real pleasure! Super clean, the food was not only delicious but reasonably priced. Dimitri is a great conversationalist and very accommodating. I live in New Jersey I will come here again for a meal when I return to NYC!
Trattoria Bianca is our post-dance class go-to group restaurant. We can always rely on the food and especially the wonderful service.
Great location if you need to be near Penn Station or Macy's (35th & Eighth). Quietly elegant, nicely decorated. I liked the menu choices and enjoyed my chicken dish. My friend had the scallops which she liked too. The house wine was very. And the prices were affordable.
Hard to believe I never knew about this place. A bright light in area with not lots of options. I will be back.
Stopped in for a quick bite after a show on the way home. Decent food, and good service but nothing amazing. Enjoyed the enthusiasm of our waitress. Thanks.
It was a quick stop for a bite. Very conveniently located and very good options for food. Service was ok but not flattering and food was decent. Nothing wowing but would stop in again if in the area
With so few quality dining choices near Madison Square Garde, Trattoria Bianca stands out. The Italian food is prepared well with other options including prime steak. The wine list is reasonable with excellent choices by the glass.
This is not an Italian restaurant, it's a slightly upscale diner in food, service, and atmosphere.
I had the chicken parm which was great, my wife had the strip steak (part of the prix fixed menu) which was also very good and a good deal also. The service was also very good. A nice place to go when your at the Garden for any event.
There are so few good places to eat near Penn Station, so this is a little gem! Make a reservation as it was busy on a Sunday night and walking may be an issue if you are crunched for time, like catching a train, for instance. Noise level was very high, but not distracting.
Food was very good but service was terrible. Waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Saturday night, 530 and it wasn’t that busy so not sure why it was so difficult to handle a table of 7.
This is a little gem behind MSG. Attractive inside, good food fairly priced. Service was professional.
Delightful Italian restaurant tucked in a hotel only a block and half away from Madison Square Garden. The food was delicious, the service friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was welcoming.
Had my first visit for a business lunch. Thought the prix fixe luncheon a very good value. The pizza was okay; not scrumptious but I definitely will return and will recommend this place. Found it bright and pleasant in an otherwise drab neighbourhood! The staff was excellent and not overbearing. The acoustics were good although toward the end of the lunch background music seemed to be pumping up in volume a bit and didn't seem necessary.
We were in early on New Year's Eve... no pressure to turn table, food very good, service great and desserts were awesome! I already recommended to a friend.
Awesome food, great service and great prices. We have been there many times and never disappointed.
The food was outstanding. Everyone raved. Service was top-notch. Thank you for the grand time.
Went into City with group of 10 people Friday before NYE, made reservation morning of. Arrived at restaurant 20 minutes early. Table was ready. Waiter very attentive, we weren't in a rush and never felt rushed. Wonderful meal everyone in the group was very happy. Steaks great, meatballs great, chicken parm great. We will return.
Surprisingly good experience at this restaurant. The food was good and reasonably-priced, and our server was outstanding, friendly, and old-school. The room was a bit noisy and touristy, but that's to be expected in a hotel restaurant. We would return to Trattoria Bianca -- and it was a pleasure to have an excuse to visit the Deco landmark New Yorker Hotel, which is looking better than it has in years.
We at here before headed to the movie theater. Our service was friendly enough. However, the food was very bland - I had the bolognese and had to add a lot of salt and pepper. Further, there were flies all along the wall behind my husband. (Thank goodness I didn't see this until after the meal). So, though it is a convenient spot (right near MSG), it is not worth it.
Service was poor. We were pretty much ignored by our waiter. My pasta dish was fine but my friend's steak was under cooked.
We did the three course pre-fix for $24 pp with appetizer and a scoop of gelato. The food was wonderful but the service was non-existent. The server while nice was never around due to having to manage 7 tables at once without sufficient training. Everyone around was frustrated with not being able to get service even at a relaxed pace.
We needed a spot close to Penn Station which had an open reservation on short notice during the very busy holiday week. We were all pleasantly surprised by good service, a nicely located table with good acoustics for our conversation, and good food at a reasonable price. Each of us ordered the price fixe with a very good salad and nice gelato w/ fresh fruit included. Pasta, chicken, and snapper were all good. We also had a reasonably priced bottle of Malbec from Argentina which was ver6 good. Service was excellent.
