The charming authentic Tuscan Trattoria has an atmosphere perfect for fine dining. The setting is maderate, casual, and fun with several areas suitable for views. Trattoria Belvedere returns authenticity to Northern Italian Cuisine. Our Tiramisu (best in the city) our home made ravioli stuffed with lobster and a traditional tagliata (Tuscan Steak) our daily special. In addition to the great food, our staff our staff will always surprise you with a special wine selection not on our list. The restaurant is beautifally adorned with fresh cut flowers and illuminated by candle light.

Although portions were large, pastas & salad were underseasoned & lacked flavor. Tiramisu was best bite.

Trattoria Belvedere was an absolute gem. I appreciate their flexibility in giving our large family the time and space for a delicious dinner. The two servers handled our (loud) party of 13 seamlessly, and the food—from appetizers (burrata, grilled calimari, roasted veggies) to the main dishes (everything from spaghetti ragu to whole branzino) to desserts (tiramisu) was wonderful, fresh and received happy reviews from all in attendance.

The food and service are incredible! Waited a bit for our table, but not too long. It’s a small place but can accommodate both intimate and large gatherings. I’ve already been back since- completely recommend!

We had an excellent meal here. Portions were generous. Our server was very attentive. We had the calamari as an appetizer the veal as an entree and the tiramisu for dessert. Would highly recommend all three. Would also recommend the house Cabernet

What a fantastic find in NYC! The food was extraordinary - everyone at my table greatly enjoyed their dish. The prices are also very reasonable for New York City. I was very impressed with the service - they were attentive, charming, and even offered to make the dish any way that we would want. It was a very quiet and cozy atmosphere for a Saturday night - great place to go if you don't want to be shouting at your dinner guest all night! Also, save room for dessert - the tiramisu was to die for!

We had 90 minutes for a quick dinner near 30th St., and based on the reviews we went to Trattoria Belvedere. In particular, we went to try the amazing Buratta, and we were not disappointed. Next time we are not splitting one. The Veal Marsala and seafood with black linguine were also delicious. We were done in time and the price with a bottle of wine was reasonable. Definitely we will go again.

The food was very good. The carbonara was fabulous and the grilled calamari appetizer was very tasty and well-cooked (no rubber). The service was earthy and friendly without being sticky sweet. I would go back.

The food was sooo delicious! We had visited this family restaurant in the Sunmer 2016, & when we came back to NYC Christmas 2017 we had to come back, so good! The ministrone soup & ravioli are amazing! Best Italian restaurant in Manhattan in our opinion 😊!!

Our experience at Belvedere was superb. The food was extraordinary. Service was friendly, but a substantial tip came automatically added to our check, which being a party group of less than 6 was unexpected and unwelcome

When we arrived at the restaurant I went to check in with the host and was told to get out of the way. When I relayed that I wanted to check in for my reservation at 8:30pm I was told that it doesn't matter and I need to get out of the way. There was a family who informed me that they had been waiting for 45 minutes and told the same info that the restaurant does not care if you have a reservation. They also booked through opentable. It was extremely disappointing as I had my family with me that only visits NYC once a year.

Arrived at 6:55 PM for our 7:00 PM reservation. It took 5 minutes for the staff walking by us half a dozen times to greet us. They asked how many were in our party and when I replied we had a 7:00 PM resvervation for four, he told us to wait at the “bar” (4 ft wide shelf without any stools and with liquor being served from behind it). We then proceeded to wait twenty minutes without any further communication until we were finally seated at table large enough for two people directly in front of the entry door. Rather than sit crammed into a table too small for us, in front of a cold entrance, with hordes of people waiting over our shoudlders, we voiced our displeasure and were told we could have a four top table in the corner that was opening up at that moment.

After waiting five more minutes while that table was prepped, we were then told that we were not getting that table, but rather would be seated at another table sized for two people. Based on this as well as the miserable looks on the faces of previously seated patrons, we opted to leave and find another restaurant.

In short, this place does not know how to take a reservation and does not know how to communicate with its patrons. Worse yet, one of the severs was wondering aloud why we were getting so upset throughout this process.

Atmosphere is fantastic. Such a quaint place, warm and inviting. The food was great, but the wait staff seemed to just be turning in circles. They would follow each other around the restaurant in a haphazard sort of way and seem to forget why they were coming over in the first place. Once we finally did order the food was there freaky fast.... hot and delicious.

We were looking for something close to where our British friend was staying and found this lovely Italian online. Got great reviews and they were spot on. The buratta appetizer I had was out of this world as was the fettucine with sausage and green peas in a tomato/cream sauce. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the staff was attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely go back.

My wife and I both consider this establishment our favorite restaurant in the United States. Whenever we travel to New York City we make certain to place a reservation to dine at this outstanding restaurant that is 5 stars in food, service and atmosphere. Truly the food is consistently good, always offering sensational specials, along with an extensive wine list, the service is by far the best one could receive in any fine dining establishment. The decor and ambiance are conducive to enable any celebration or to merely dine out, especially if you're a local, it's a neighborhood gem! We look forward to our next visit to Trattoria Belvedere.

Authentic, delicious food. We had the pasta fagioli, meat lasagne with bolognese sauce, lobster ravioli with shrimp sauce, tiramusu and the perfect Super Tuscan wine. The restaurant is quiet and private, with impeccable service. Try it, you will not be disappointed!
