Trattoria Abruzzo Ratings and Reviews
Waited 15 minute past our reservation time, corner table was very noisy. Food was average Italian fare, but overpriced. Service seemed to be average and unimaginative. No gluten free pastas and few choices. Will not go back.
We were 18 friends Monday night from all over SWFL celebrating 3 birthdays in once.
It couldn’t have been better choice deciding to go at Trattoria Abruzzo.
Excellent authentic Italian food starting from homemade pasta to the veal, chicken and seafood.
The service has been outstanding from the moment we seated down until the second before leaving, thanks Victor!
You can tell it’s a family owned restaurant.
Some of us came from Punta Gorda,it’s really worth the drive.
I was tired and hungry after just flying in. I did not want to go to downtown, but wanted good food. Although located in a strip mall, Trattoria Abruzzo fit the bill. First wines by the glass offered a good selection. I enjoyed an excellent Italian pasta dish with homemade pasta! I had gelato with limoncello for dessert. My server, victor, was attentive and helpful. I happened to notice an elderly couple with numerous questions and requests for substitutions. The other waiter (Alberto) could not have been more patient. One would have thought these were his beloved grandparents. While I enjoyed my meal immensely, the friendly atmosphere was so relaxing and heartwarming.
I really love this place. Wish it wasn't so hard to get into during "Season". I can honestly say I have always had a wonderful meal here, and I've been here a lot! Like sitting inside much better than outside, outside lights way too bright in the evening and it kills the ambiance.
Table was ready at time of reservation on a Saturday night!
Victor the waiter was very helpful with menu and suggestions.
All 4 meals were quite good, pasta trio was outstanding. Not particularly good selection of bottled wines.
Overall, a very nice evening!
Every time I want to eat the best Italian food in town I go to Trattoria Abruzzo.
Food is delicious and service is outstanding.
My favorite dishes are trio Parmesan over homemade spaghetti and Veal Toscano.
Very hard to get a table with no reservation especially during season.
This place keeps getting better and better. I had to try bites from all the plates of my family. The pasta and sauces are excellent. You can tell everything is home made. Had a bottle of Amarone, we all try the specials. The best was the Branzino and a parpadelle dish with shimrp. Even the kids meal was amazing. I'll be going once a week for this amazing food. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable of the food and wine menu. Try the tiramisù. Keep up the good work! Grazie!!!
The charm in the restaurant was great. The food was superb. Our waiter was delightful but the service was a little on the slow side. Similar to when u r actually dining in Italy and no one is in a rush... we would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this place.
We really enjoyed our weekly night at the restaurant this week...my husband ordered the special, which he said was terrific, and I asked for the ravioli with meat sauce instead of the mushroom sauce. They were absolutely delicious, and I ate far too much! As always, we got great personal service. The restaurant is starting to fill up again as season gets closer, and it will be harder to make reservations spontaneously, but we are going to try. We don't want to miss it!
This is one of our faves in Naples, but this time I got sick afterward. Not sure if it was the mushrooms or the spinach, even though the food tasted amazing. Also, the music was nice but very loud. Not as romantic as before either.
Loved this little neighborhood gem and by Naples standards very reasonably priced! In a strip mall next to the newly remodeled Pavillion Theaters, so from the outside not all that inviting. But once you enter it is so small and charming with excellent authentic Italian food and great service. There can't be but a dozen tables inside but there is outside dining...I just hate sitting outside in a parking lot so we had a reservation for inside. Loved it from the salad to the entree and we also had a great bottle of red wine. My only complaint is that they close at 9pm in summer so if you catch a movie that ends at 9pm, you can't eat there. Seems silly to be right next to a movie theater and not take this into account! They could be doing a lot more business if they just stayed open till 10pm. Great experience overall.
We had reservations on Wednesday evening. The restaurant was busy-the staff was overwhelmed. There didn't seem to be any management in house. We ordered a bottle of wine and finished it before the server came back to the table to even ask us if we wanted an appetizer or if we were ready to order dinner ( 30 minutes). We decided it would be best to leave.
We've enjoyed Trattoria D'Abruzzo in the past but this visit was disappointing. I don't think anyone at our table of 6 enjoyed their meal and we felt the service was slow. I've always enjoyed the Orachetti with sausage/broccoli at this restaurant but this time it was bland (less garlic?). The women expressed displeasure with the salmon.
We continue to enjoy this neighborhood restaurant, the perfect place to unwind and relax in a homey atmosphere. It was busy the other night, even quite late, so that just tells me the seasonal people are starting to drift back in, and we might not be able to go spontaneously as we have been able to do in the summer...but we will try!
