Amazing restaurant, different kind of experience, in that you can cook your own steak on a hot stone. A bit pricey but worth it for a date night or anniversary.
We brought friends as a thank you and they really loved it!
Everything about our meal was excellent. My only negative feedback was that my entrée was served on a stone and the waiter didn't give me any instructions as to what to do with it. Other than than, it was wonderful!
Great evening as usual at Trapper’s but the service was exceptional. Stephan? Was personable, respectful of our desire to visit/ celebrate our time together ...he made sure our order was placed before a large party that arrived just after us. He knew the menu well. He was the best server we’ve had there!!!
Stone is fun, food was great
Dining room was very cold and noisy. Steak was advertised to be served on a hot stone, which is one of the reasons why we came, however, when served there was no stone...disappointing. Service was slow and we were never asked if we wanted a refill on drinks. Would not recommend.
We are never disappointed when we dine here. The food, service, and restaurant is always top notch.
There were 4 of us, the 3 who ordered the steak all loved their meal. I ordered the salmon and the rice was so lemony that’s all I could taste after the first bite of it,
Great and attentive service! Nice variety on the menu
Wonderful experience - the staff was wonderful and food was excellent, no complaints!
We have lived in Parker for 12 years and this was the first time eating at Trappers. The food and the service were great the medium filet mignon done to perfection and the spare rib did not disappoint. The coffee was okay (prefer a darker roast myself) but the ginger creme brulee and the flourless chocolate torte were fantastic.
Quality not good and calamari tasted like cleanser so I think it was ransid. Steak was a little less quality than you would buy at king soopers.
The food was not prepared well. My fish was over cooked and my spouse’s food was undercooked. Seasoning was terrible. Food was highly overpriced given the poor quality. Was very disappointed. Will not be going here again.
Nice atmosphere, nice change of pace with the stone. Service was very good and attentive. We had not been there in quite a while and I'm not sure why it fell off our radar. We will definitely be back soon as everything was great !
It was resturant week. Decided to try Trapper’s. The soup squash soup was terrible, the hot stone cooking was fun, and the cake dessert was terrible. Felt it was a year old, served outrageously large, stale, hard and the cream cheese frosting was stale and funny smelling. The waiter should of never served such terrible food. Very disappointed, I will not return.
Not too impressed with the food. Wouldn’t go there again🙁
Food was great, however our server seemed to be disinterested and was below our expectations for this place. Typically, we have much better service.
For a Saturday night full restaurant the noice was acceptable. Live music was good and not too loud as is often the case at many restaurants. Food was excellent. Which is important because they offer atypical dishes. I had the hickory smoked BBQ quail. Very nice.
We've been to Trapper's on several occasions. Whether just a romantic dinner, anniversary, graduation, or any special event, Trapper's is the perfect restaurant for all occasions. The food and service is excellent. It can be a bit pricey, but one of the few restaurants that won't disappoint!
Waiter was very slow thru all aspects of service and although I love salt, my roast potatoes were so salty they were almost inedible. Lobster was also very salty; I don’t know if it was the butter or lobster. Ambience was great on Valentine’s Day, tho Open Table said no reservations until 8:45 pm but restaurant was half empty when we got there. Good drinks
This was our second trip to this restaurant and we were very disappointed.
First, that sat us by a window, and it was freezing, so we moved, which was not really an issue, but they really need to pull the shades to hold in the warmth.
Second, the service was very slow, especially from the bar, and it took quite a while to get our food. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full at the time 6:45 pm.
Third, we rarely saw our server, but rather random people dropping things off, with no word. I will concede that the server was a nice lady. No one was rude.
Fourth, the drinks we received were watered down and contained very little alcohol.
Fifth, we were given the option of receiving our meat choices delivered raw and cooked at our table. When it arrived it, again delivered by a random person, it was on a plate arrangement with meats sitting on a hot stone, and no explanation given what to do. I burned my finger (nothing serious too be honest) on the hot stone on accident, which really killed the mood. The meat kept sticking to the stone and was difficult to sear and remove.
To sum up; dinner for two, including tip was $140, for that we received -- slow service from random people, weak mixed drinks, lack of communication regarding our meal, burned finger, and frustration while eating, and went on our merry trying to make the best of it.
I think there are probably other places like this we can try where the experience will be better.
We combined Valentines Day with our first anniversary and had a delightful time!
Lamb chops were fantastic and my husband had the ribeye steak which he said we great.
Service was slow, multiple requests for same items. All proteins were warm and good but sides had been waiting and were served cold.
Food was very average. On a Sat. night we were one of 8 people in the place. Left at 10 PM and were last ones in the place. It is obvious as to why nobody there because the food was average and very overpriced. The wait staff was very cordial and nice.
Great food, good service and good Ambiance.
A most place to Dine if you are in the Denver area.
Had a lovely evening . Our food was excellent as was the service.
This was my first visit to Trapper's Chop House. I was impressed with the food and the service. Attention was given to the smallest of details. I will definitely return.
I'm a local and clients of mine gave me a gift card. The waiter was really nice.
The food was disappointing, especially for the price. Both of our meals were luke warm when served. I would go to Del Friscos or Shanahans for steak before returning.
Overall is was disappointing, too bad I wanted it to be good.
Took my ten year old grandson for a date night. This is my way of teaching him the difference between ‘at home’ manners and ‘public’. Your restaurant and waiters are great in giving him the opportunity to express his wants, needs and likes/dislikes.
Nice experience for a special occasion. Not crowded or busy and wonderful service.
Excellent experience due to the Romancing the stone steak! Service was a bit slow this time as we waited 10 minutes before waiter came to table. Would love to see the vegetable side increase in size as I have commented on in prior reviews. Nice ambiance with live music and a fireplace!
Waiter was fantastic, food was spectacular, couldn't ask for more!
Nine of us went there for New Year's Eve. Most had never been there before. The food was delicious and we all had different dishes. The tuna and steaks were wonderful and the service was prompt and efficient. Nice fireplace in the dining room and warm and cozy atmosphere. We would definitely go back.
Trapper's is fantastic if you want to take your friend's and family. Romancing the stone is a must.
The experience of cooking your on food on a 500 degree stone is fun and your food is always the way you like it.
Give Trapper's a try. You won't be disappointed.
We visit Trappers for happy hour and enjoy the view, the service and the bar menu.
We recently ate in the restaurant and had a great meal and very good service.
A casual place for the entire family.
We recently ate at Trappers for the first time for our anniversary. I had steak oscar and my husband had lamp chops, foregoing the experience of cooking our steak at the table. ( I went OUT to eat to avoid having to cook:) The food was excellent! Our only disappointment was the wine selection by the glass. A great touch was a dessert on the house for our anniversary. We had the hot fudge ice cream brownie, which was out of this world! The fireplace on a cold evening and candles on all the tables made it a very pleasant evening.
Due to being seated in front of entertainment extremely hard to converse.
Rest of restaurant also noisy.
Trapper's has always been a special place for us, but something has changed of late. Our latest visit was a special occasion and as such, I requested a table as far away from the entertainment as possible. We were seated midway in the restaurant and in front of the fireplace. I immediately asked for different seating and was told by the hostess that she would have to check with the manager. She returned and apologized, but said that was all she could do.
My wife and son alternated seating throughout the evening due to the heat from the fireplace. Someone nearby also complained about the heat and was told that it couldn't be turned down, that it had only two settings, on or off, and on was the setting for the evening.
My granddaughter had to come over and stand beside me so that we could have a conversation.
I noted when I made the reservation through Open Table that this was a special occasion, but that either wasn't conveyed to Trapper's, or it didn't matter to them. I think we will be looking elsewhere for our next night out.
Loved the variety of meats that you could order. Great ambiance.
