the tenderloin melted in my mouth... the food is really fantastic.. 'you get what you pay fo here'... high class eats !
The food was good and the ambiance is also ok. The waiter is not that good at all no good customer service at all and doesn't even know which utensils to use. When we comment regarding the dessert he doesnt even exert and effort that i will tell it to my manager and check it so the next one who order and will eat it there will be a change. And is it that hard to ask or request that u you wanted a nicer view and it seems the receptionist are not that friendlyl also. This is the first time the waiter ask us if do u want your change back ever i've been to a lot of class restaurant but this server doesnt fit to be in this restaurant. I dont mind going back to tramonto but i will ask the first waiter or server who serve me the first time
foie gras was super!!! and also the seafood platter, served with a great sauce. Definitely a must try. June is the month of lobster festival, if you like seafood, it will be a good deal for choosing lobster as the entree.
I would say our server was really good and have a good sense of humor and that's how it should be when you go to a really small n classy restaurant. I was there last wed. june 8 and it was really great. The food is good and the wine is good.
The service, view and food were excellent.
Everything was great, but the desserts were outstanding! Loved the Grand Marnier creme brulee and the berry tart.
Our server (forgot his name) but he was outstanding. Really fantastic service and sunset was beautiful. Even the the Sicilian service at table next to us took time to speak with us and introduce himself. Wonderful night and we'll be back.
Tip was on bill?I dont like that. Was only worth it after the coupon discount.
We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious as was the presentation! A really enjoyable dining experience. We will return!
Our waiter made our evening...we used groupon and I was afraid we would be treated differently because of it...no problem ,he was inviting and courteous. I forget his name but he was curley black haired and in his forties or fifties, with an accent,he made our night!!!
The food was outstanding and served with great panache...I would definitely go again if I was seeing a show at the theatre.( I live in North Vancouver so it is quite a drive.)
It exceeded our expectations and we really felt spoiled. Exceptional food, service, and we had an amazing experience. Thank you!
Food was made perfectly. For appys, we got the crab cake, which was interesting, and the lobster bisque, which was good and wasn't too strong (a good thing for us as we find the bisques at other restaurants a bit too salty) Got the Kurobuta Pork and the Lamb Rack. Both very very juicy and delicious. The waiter was very good and funny, really can tell that he enjoys the food, drinks and what he does, and also gave us complementary dessert because of we were celebrating our anniversary.
The setting and the ambiance were wonderful. Our server was very knowledgable and provided an excellent recommendation for our wine. We were unsure of what to order and our server was really pushing the pork dish and we now wish we would have followed his advice. We ended up ordering the $59 rib-eye steak which was,in a word, horrible. My steak was barely warm and very fatty. My husband's steak was leaner, however, still served barely warm. With business, I have traveled all over North America and have enjoyed $50+ steaks numerous times, and this rates at the very bottom. Will I recommend this restaurant based on this experience? Definitely not in this life time.
Convenient for going to the show at River Rock Casino. Considers itself a luxury restaurant but instead it is not, Food is fair but presentation was a nice. The servings for dessert are way to costly for the limited amount served. Would recommend trying other spots in the casino before booking the Tramonto.
fourth time eating there...always delightful!
Tramato is a small intimate setting that continually presents outstanding cuisine. Beautiful sunsets are alway a bonus!
Although Tramanto's is meant to be an Italian Restaurant (and their carbonara is very good), their Surf and Turf takes the prize. The lobster tail is cooked to perfection as is the steak. Delicious, and the it doesn't hurt that it has a fantastic view of the setting sun...
We were celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived the waiter brought out 2 glasses of sparkling wine with raspberries for us, compliments of the restaurant. They also made a little dessert written in chocolate that said "Happy 11th Anniversary". They know how to make customers feel appreciated. Food was delicious & fresh. We had a fantastic time!
The crab cakes were very dry and needed some type of accompaniment like an aoli or something. The food was redeemed by the 1/2 order of Gnocki for my sons. overall good.
Love the view love the food
and i hgot a free dessert for my b-day too
My best friend and I went for her birthday. We had a Groupon Coupon and our waiter was excellent. He helped us use every bit and we totally enjoyed our meal and the service was fantabulous!!
Had a wonderfull time at your restaurant. Waiter was awsome. He had a great personality.
cant wait to come back!!
Should be considered among the few top fine dining restaurants in the city of Richmond. It is great for the residents in the resort as well as for the local who do not want to go out of the city just for a nice meal.
Excellent service and fantastic view! The food was very good, and we loved the ambiance. Somewhat on the high side for cocktails, but then again it is a high end restaurant. Highly recommend the crab cakes.
We had a lovely dinner, unfortunately just as we were going to have dessert and coffee a group of four were seated beside us and the two elderly ladies were waring very strong perfume and it made it impossible for us to sit any longer. I guess if we have one complaint
it is that your tables are set too close.
Wonderful ambiance with a fantastic view! The staff are very gracious and friendly and the service impeccable. I ordered the sablefish which was ok. My husband got the lamb and we would highly recommend that dish!
Excellent rasberry mojito. However, the wild mushroom soup tasted like a tin campbells soup. This was outdone by the raw onion tasting onion soup. Next the bluecheese and shortrib pasta was barely edible due to the undercooked pasta. The gnocci and prawns was sub-par as the gnocci was good, but the prawns were cold. Overall, poor execution of the food, especially given the price.
My wife and I attended for ther first time as a prelude to attending a concert. Got their two hours before the show and what a great way to kickoff the evening. The staff were all very pleasant and, yes, I would attend again and recommend it to my friends. Keep up the good work.
Amazing food and great service will certainly go back.
I had a great dinner their with my family. The angus beef was cooked perfectly and the dessert was delicious!
2nd time at Tramonto. Service is exceptional, you don't even know that they have done something at the table. Food was superb and the wine list extensive.
The service was good; food was average; soup was cold as were the vegetables that accompanied the entree; portion sizes were average OK; lovely view of Frazer River.
Was disappointed with restaurant. It was very expensive and the service and the quality of food did not match the prices being charged.
Our waiter Todd was extremely attentive and friendly. Food was fabulous !
The restaurant is supposed to be "Italian" - there were only 5 pasta dishes and one Entree that were Italian - there were more steak, lamb and fish dishes which would be termed "typical Canadian/American" menu items. The Osso Buco was good, not spectacular, and my partner's steak was only "okay". Not good value for the price.
I have been to Tramonto's several times in the past and thought the service was okay and the food was good but not exceptional, it was a convenient spot when attending a show at the River Rock. But this time the dinner WAS exceptional. The shared seafood platter was delicious, the Beef filet was cooked perfectly and the Raspberry Filo cup was to die for and would have to rate as one of the best desserts I have ever had, it was the perfect addition to an already perfect meal. We had requested some substitions on the seafood platter and the waiter relayed our requests as desired, the service was attentive and good. We were attending a show and chose this restaurant just for the convenience, I will definately be back again, show or not.
The waiter who spoke 3 or 4 languages was the BEST server that we have every experienced ANYWHERE.
Overall nice ambiance and descent food, but too expensive...
The menu offered a nice variety of dishes, however it was obvious that the actual food lacked authenticity from a true Italian kitchen staff.
Recommendations by the server was excellent... Beautiful view by the water, we usually eat very early, so it was quiet and they set the lights low after we arrived which made the mood excellent. Food was GREAT!
The dinner was excellent. As with most restaurants if you are a couple you tend to get seated very close to the next couple, but that is life I guess
