Food and service are excellent. Very hard to hear conversation.
It was our Anniversary and it’s a top pick to have a great dinner . We just happened to get a table of 14 that was very loud and our conversation was halted a bit so to the loudness of the big party . It happens we know it’s just something that can happen
My wife and I will definitely return, the service was great our waiter Shawn was spot on. The risotto and pasta dish we ordered was tastefully unexpected finished off with a terrific tiramisu dessert. Worth every penny !
Normally give this place 5 stars but this time around my wife’s entree was super salty and the fettuccine carbonara was overpriced at $26
Anniversary, staff so attentive and offered dessert on the house:)
Everything was great with this restaurant except the fact they sat us next to the rest rooms. I asked for a different table but was told there was none. Yet I sat there looking at an empty table for two. I had to deal with people bumping into my chair in order to get to the bathroom all night. Food was awesome, highly recommend the mussels appetizer. Tried my wife’s artichoke salad, which was great. Entrees were very good as well.
Trama is a great neighborhood restaurant. Food is always great and consistent. The menu was recently changed for the Fall.
You can’t beat Chef Pat Trama's amazing cuisine! Make a reservation so you aren’t disappointed. This place is great!
Good but small selections of food, pleasantly served and delightful taste. Delicious and different desserts. Drinks were very good, not skimpy.
family member birthday
Always great food, service and vibe! We love this place.
The service was overly attentive. Our courses were too quick right after each other. The dressings were overdone. Too much of sauces. I like to taste the food. I could not even enough the baby artichokes since it was drenched on lemon vinegarette. The lobster franchese the same....over sauced. My husband's pork was good but over sauced and too much sweetness. The Irish coffee had no whipped cream, only plain coffee with Irish whiskey. Not expected. The cost is very high and food does not rate that expensive.
Excellent every time we go there . Food is always spot on here.
Another absolutely spectacular dinner at the Jersey Shore gem.
Chef Pat’s food is better than ever and Trama’s has a great vibe.
If you haven’t been here, get here for a fabulous meal!
This was my first time at this restaurant and I highly recommend it. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great.
Food was great, service was great and it was a great experience overall
Brought some out of town guests here and they were blown away. Always a great meal. Andrew is always on his A-game. (we seem to ALWAYS get him!)
Trama never disappoints! Always friendly service. The food is outstanding every time. The seasonally changing menu and craft cocktails always gives me a reason to come back, excited about what is new!
Absolutely fantastic. Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared. While they do have some traditional dishes they take Italian food to new levels. The mussel appetizer in bread gravy was outstanding. The mozzarella salad and the calamari were very fresh and delicious. The rigatoni pasta is off the charts. Salmon was cooked perfectly and paired with an awesome red grape risotto. Pork chop was very good and their steak florentine is excellent. This chef/owner restaurant is one of the best in New Jersey.
Always Outstanding never a disappointment. I can never say enough about this place. We are steady customers at least once a week.
Very high quality food, terrific presentation, extremely reasonable pricing - just an all-around great experience. The only criticism would be how short-handed they can appear to be on a busy night.
Food was good but it was very noisy and we had to wait 20 minutes for our table even though we had reservations.
If you want the best dinner ever Trama is the place for you.... In our opinion its the best in NJ
Trama is a neighborhood gem. Great food, great specials, good bar and great service.
We’ve always enjoyed our meals there and feel lucky to have this nice place so close to our home!
The menu changed from what was on line when we got there because it is seasonal. There is no sausage in the rigatoni with sausage but it was the best calamari of my life!
Always outstanding food and service. By far the best restaurant in New Jersey
I have been to Trama's a few times & it is consistently a great dinner. The food is sooo good. The wait staff is very attentive without being annoying. Some of the food combinations don't appear to go together, but when you try it, it is really good. The restaurant does get noisy in the heart of the summer season, but I just went there last weekend and it was so nice with only a few tables being full.
Not enough wait staff for the amount of tables/people to be served. We hardly saw our waiter and he never came to check on us to see if we needed more drinks or anything else.
Awesome dinner! Came with foodie friends and everyone agreed we can't wait to come back.
A really different take on some common and some not so common dishes. You will not get the same basic sauce over meat and covered in cheese that you get in some places. These are crafted and unique takes on all dishes. The service was friendly and outstanding. Some of the best food that I have had in quite a while and we will be back.
Trama’s is consistently one of the best dining experiences in the area.
Went to Trama's Trattoria on a Friday night and arrived early, hoping to have a cocktail at the bar prior to dinner. Unfortunately, the bar was packed so we went to our table early and had our pre-dinner drinks there.
After a healthy pour of the Pinot Noir for my wife and a very generous Belvedere Martini, we were looking forward to starting dinner. The food was outstanding! I started with the Meatball appetizer. One very large meatball served over polenta and topped with tomato sauce. The meatball was moist, flavorful, and perfectly tender. For my entree, I had the Spaghetti with White Wine Clam Sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the chili peppers added a nice spice to the dish, a pleasant departure from the normal white clam sauce. My wife started with the Baby Artichoke Salad which came with fresh parmesan reggiano on top. She ended up taking half of it home as finishing it would have left no room for her entree. She ordered the Bronzino which was moist and flavorful. We passed on dessert as neither of us had any room left. All in all, a most enjoyable experience. Note....this is not a place for a romantic dinner as the noise level is quite high, but if you want great food, you'll not be disappointed. We look forward to going back again.
Food was fantastic!! Love coming!
Lemon fettuccine was outstanding
Trama’s is so incredible and so delicious. The service was fantastic and the ambiance perfect.
Hands down one of my favorite places in Jersey. The food and service are always fantastic and the specials are equally exciting. Small, intimate place to dine that's contemporary but cozy at the same time.
Each time we visit, we are never disappointed. We started our meal with the mussels appetizer. The tomato gravey the muscles are cooked with is the best I have had. Our dinners consisted of sea scallops scampi with pancetta and potato croquettes, and saffron risotto with sea food medely. All the seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. This is definitely a restaurant you want to dine at, you will not regret it.
Baby artichoke salad over arugula with a thick slice of Parmesan ? Um, yes please!
Giant meatball over polenta? Yes !
Pork chop over farrow? My daughter loved it!!
Special of shrimp and scallops over saffron lemon pea risotto ? So delicious I ordered it Saturday night then AGAIN Sunday night.
Chocolate cake with vanilla gelato ? Ok, now my head may explode!! So good!!
Chicken parmigiana? Yes yes yes!!
Service? Everyone was super nice. Although the front end girls are nice too, they lack experience. They’re the face of the restaurant!! Train these girls to make eye contact and speak up!
One other negative was the Pandora station choice. I was there early on a Sunday night for dinner with my 80 year old parents and my 23 year daughter. The music of choice consisted of hard alternative rock with a ton of f bombs dropped and not the filtered cursing. The REAL ones. Please pay attention to the stations you’re choosing! The music was cringeworthy even for my 23 year old .Frank Sinatra station? YES please!
Love this place !
Always A GoTo pLACE ❤️...
Although we thought the food was very good, it was very expensive and noisy for the 4 of us. I couldn't hear my friend sitting right next to me. Maybe try again on a week night.
