you have totally changed the menu from "cabin"- "ski lodge" - "comfort food" to more fine dining. We missed the pot of soup, meat loaf, scones, ribs you used to serve. If I want the type of food you now feature I'll go to the city. We'll not return unless the menu goes back to "cabin" type food
Our extended family ate dinner here (including a 2 year old and 4 year old), and as always the setting was beautiful and the food was hearty. It was a wonderful experience for the kids as well, with a new kids menu and waiter bringing their food first. The service was very attentive and we left with full bellies and great memories!
Nothing short of heaven. Food was outstanding, our waiter was the best, and the scones sealed the deal. Now, a 25.00 corking fee is a bit much as their winelist is just ok, and over priced as well.
Drhoda greeted us at Trail Creek and promptly seated us at a perfect table by the window overlooking the mountains, snow and sleigh riders. Delicious trout and elk tenderloin, luscious salads and fresh berry pie. A night to remember!

cabin in a wonderful remote setting. very cozy atmosphere. we had the lamb burger and the buffalo short ribs. the flavors were delicious. our waiter diego was professional and curteous.
the lamb shank was bland and over cooked. The bison steak and trout were superb.
Get the trout. You wont find better trout unless you fished it out yourself!
Our family ate here after a small mountaintop wedding for my daughter. The food was delicious! Among us we had braised lamb shanks, Idaho rainbow trout and the Bison filet. The portions were very generous and we had leftovers to take home :)
The ambiance is great with fireplaces blazing. WE also had great service. We will visit again!
Three best buddies had Valentine's Dinner @ TCC - we all chose the Special V-Day 6 course menu with a glass of champagne for starters and chocolate covered strawberries as a departure treat! We all agreed this was the best dinner in our five days in Sun Valley. Each course was perfectly presented and delicious - our compliments to the new TCC chef! This is definitely a restaurant we'll dine at again and highly recommend to all foodies who appreciate great cuisine & atmosphere!!

Out of town friends were visiting and we wanted them to experience the amazing Trail Creek Cabin. This is a magical place. The food was very good. The service on the other hand was marginal. This is a restaurant people are coming to for the experience. The hostess and server were not the least bit welcoming. Would have been nice to have some brief chat about the history or some special memorabilia. It's not just a place to eat. Disappointing our server could have been someone working at Denny's. Surprised there are no appetizers on the menu. It really should be open in the summer!!!!
A charming atmosphere that continues the Sun Valley tradition. Good service, good food. If it's cold, skip the sleigh ride and drive out although I'm sure SV will,provide car service if you decide a one way sleigh ride is enough.
This was our first visit to Trail Creek. The food, service and ambience at the restaurant was great!
A couple of things to be aware of: We signed up for the sleigh ride to the restaurant and four course menu. The restaurant automatically charges full fare prior to your actual reservation and requires a 7 day cancellation.
The pick up location for the sleigh ride is at the Sun Valley Inn (resort). We were a little disappointed that there wasn't enough snow for the sleigh ride through the woods, instead we loaded a horse drawn wagon that followed the regular road out to the cabin.
We had a fabulous experience at Trail Creek Cabin. Spectacular rustic and historic setting. A terrific staff with friendly and professional servers and an excellent manager, Matt. All of them made us feel welcome, attended us deftly, and wished us farewell as we left. The gratin starter is just the right amount and yummy. Soup and brussels sprout salad were delicious. We had all clean plates at our table - NY steak, boar, and bison special. The dessert assortment was excellent. It is very nice to have a selection of small treats to share rather than one big dessert with multiple spoons. Sun Valley has some of the best pastry chefs around. (Check out the sweets at the Konditorei in Sun Valley Mall). We did not do the sleigh/wagon ride, since we have done it many times before, but it is a must-do experience if you are visiting Sun Valley for the first time. Spectacular on a starry night. Trail Creek Cabin will never disappoint. It has the perfect blend of great food, service and setting.

We loved Trail Creek Cabin's authentic western spirit and beautiful mountain and creekside views, made especially charming in the snow. The food was exceptional -- the Raclette starter and beet salad we shared, and all of our entrees that we allowed each other to sample (meat and fish dishes). The service was excellent as well. We will definitely return next winter.
We were happy that Trail Creek Cabin was open again for the season after being closed this summer. We love the ambiance of the cabin. The food is still excellent but they have changed to a prix fixe menu, even for non-sleigh diners and it is $75 per person. I prefer a regular menu so you can decide how much you want to spend but all four courses were very good so we will return, just not as often as we would with a regular menu.
