Very good service! Two levels, just a neat place to hang out and eat.
Service was great. Seated us in a quiet place so we could work during dinner. Love the food. Amazing.
Was here for a business lunch and the food was excellent as usual. The service was a little off this day, but still acceptable.
Every bite of food was spectacular and the service was remarkable!
One of the few places currently around the Seaport appropriate for a Business Lunch. Great food, reasonably priced, good service and reasonably quiet so you can hear your associate. Would certainly recommend this restaurant and will come back in the future.
Great food, great ambiance and my server was great! Will go again for lunch and dinner.
Wont go back.
Great service. Appreciative of management and staff’s quick response to an incorrect food order. Would definitely go back here again.
Received a warm welcome on arrival at The Trading Post. Seated at a lovely table. Service was excellent, decor warm and reminiscent of old New York. Food was very good and nicely presented. As lunch crowd cleared out it was peaceful and relaxing. Overall a very nice dining experience.
This was a total surprise- a little dark inside but the food was so delicious... I will be back.
Overall the restaurant is a solid choice. The food is quite good as is the service. Always a bit noisy for us but the host always makes every effort to find us the quietist table he has. In spite of the noisy atmosphere we continue to return
Good food and lots of space; good place for a quiet conversation.
Tuna and steak where great, service was great. Would definitely go back again
Good food over all, would come back again. The service is a little slow but otherwise everything is great.
Great ambience for a business or casual get together. Food and drinks menu is good with lots of options for everyone. Service is good too. I have been there on several occasions and they are consistent with their food and service.
The Trading Post is a unique restaurant.
It is a lovely historical landmark, with very cosy, private spaces and nooks, for dining, that afford the customers total privacy to interact.
The service is impeccable.
I have eaten here several times, and can only compliment the servers.
The food is exquisite.
I had the Scottish salmon, and the and my husband and I shared the barley and mushroom risotto.
Both were delicious.
My husband also enjoyed his Caesar’s salad.
Our friends had the traditional pizzeta and the half chicken.
They raved about their dishes, as well.
We finished off our meal with the wonderfully autumnal pumpkin brûlée.
The Trading Post is special, and a delightful place to sit back, relax, in a warm, comfortable, old- fashioned way.
Has a nice ambiance and delicious food. Mood and setting is cozy which goes along with brunch menu. Nice place for bottomless brunch with friends.
My favorite FiDi - Seaport restaurant. Always consistent and ALWAYS good!
My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood so we are looking for local restaurants that we can count on. This one will be added to that list. The food was really good. Although the noise level was very high the host made every effort to find a table for use where we could hear each other talk. The host checked in us several times to make sure everything met our expectations. For those reasons I would rate the service as excellent and we will return
We were visiting NYC for the weekend and went down to South Shore, decided to cancel our reservation with original restaurant when we found this closer location. What a great find!
The food was amazing - i had the Shrimp Scampi - amazing!
Isabelle was our server, she was fantastic! Let us try a beer to ensure we would like it and recommended some great dishes.
We will be returning to NYC and will make a return visit.
Generally enjoyable. Burger was a bit dry.
Lauren our server was wonderful as was John the manager. Thanks for everything. Will be back !
Excellent salmon/kale/quinoa salad. All the other guests seem to have enjoyed their meal as well. Classic and traditional all American pub with historic vibe. (Freezing cold AC for those who like it)
Had the most magical experience here! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the space is so beautiful, exquisite, and well kept! This is on my top 5 list of affordable and immersive dining experience in NYC.
Ambience was excellent. Service was also great. Nice place fof drinks or romantic dinner. Beautiful leathet chairs and setting.
Just ok. I booked this for a client lunch and we ended up sitting outside. The table was dirty, trash outside next to table, service was sloooow and my salad was not fresh. The burger looked better! It's ok go for casual or a drink. Don't expect much from the food.
Excellent service, tasty food, overall lovely experience.
Checks all the boxes and filled with maritime charm!
I took my wife here for her birthday and it was a really a pleasant surprise the food was amazing the service is great and on point. The ambiance is very mellow and romantic the only thing I would complain about and this is subjective , when we were being seated I whispered to the guy that it was her birthday and he told me "I got you covered" I expected for him to at least prepare like a small cake with candles I wasn't expecting a free cake I clearly was reday to pay but nothing.... it's OK because the food and service to me was flawless and I am definitely going again but they should make an option for occasions as above mentioned. Otherwise I still give the place a 5 stars but I will say if you want to have a nice quiet time do not go during happy hour the bar is just a slight bit noisey but who cares?....still five stars for me....
never disappointed by the food or service! sat outside which was fun, but inside cozy and intimate. food great (if a bit pricey), either way
Took a business client and co-workers here and everyone had a great meal. The only downside of the place was the pounding music, which made it super noisy. My salmon was the best I've had in months - asked for it on the rare side and actually got it. Grilled asparagus on the side was superb. Dessert (key lime pie) wasn't fantastic, just ok. Some reasonable wine list choices, which is always a nice surprise in NYC. Had the 1000 Stories bourbon-barrell aged Zin and it was very good.
The place is huge. It is packed with a preponderance of millennials though all seem welcome and comfortable. It is raucous though there are quiet spots here and there. We were in one such little room ourselves. I found the 18 dollar cheese plate purchased to accompany my Guinness to be unbalanced with only three smallish pieces of toast. I asked the barman for more bread to go with it and he said that I would ruin my appetite for dinner. That was true and I abided by it, though it wasn't very customer driven. I notice Open Table gives the place 3 dollar signs. It is pricey but not THAT pricey.
Bad. Do not go
Hidden gem of the financial district! Will be back for sure.
Salty food. The Manager took off 15% due to the food being too salty. Great customer service!
Worst brunch. Left after one bite
Great food. Nice ambience and decor. Serena took awesome care of us!
The food was good, but not to due for. We had the burger and crab cake sandwich. The restaurant menu is not the same as the menu online, but we were told that they recently changed their menu. The new menu is pretty limiting.
The staff was friendly.
