They were very accommodating with my dietary restrictions and the fire roasted beef I had was fabulous. Great deep flavor. I will definitely go back when I am next in town.
We have been coming to Trader Vic’s for over 40 years! Great food and service! Highly recommend the wings!
Great atmosphere for a relaxing dinner and for those looking for a tiki vibe. This restaurant is a classic and a must for any tiki fans out there!
Our first Trader Vics experience since 1978 in London. Unfortunate! Everything was cold. Ribs tasteless and old. Good chicken for the skewers, but cold and not grilled. Like eating tasteless boiled chicken chunks. Salad reasonable and egg rolls exceptional. All.in all quite a disappointment! We were looking forward to a great meal and were very disappointed.
Service and ambiance were excellent. My entrée, bacon wrapped scallops was wonderful. The scallops were huge and so flavorful, just perfect. The appetizer, Crab Rangoon was not great. it may be a personal preference but they tasted like something in them had gone bad. Cocktails were delicious I had a Planters Punch and a Mai Tai. The punch was tastier but the Mai Tai had a real punch! I would go again for the scallops!
I love this place. I hope it never changes significantly. This visit allowed me to show it off to a friend who was visiting from out of town. He wasn't familiar with Trader Vic's or tiki, but the smell of their wood fired ovens drew him in right away. The food and service were fantastic. He's a fan who now plans to put it on his list of places to visit in future trips to Atlanta.
The food was amazing. The service was outstanding. I felt like an extended member of the Trader Vic’s family.
The ambience was the only thing this restaurant had going for it. The decorations were on theme and it had a cool atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice.
Our food was bad. We ordered the Pu Pu Platter. The shrimp were ok, the crab rangoons tasted spoiled, the ribs were dry, the pork was fine. None of it was really good. We also ordered egg rolls. Again, very mediocre. Neither one of us finished our drinks from the bar.
At this point we decided not to order anything else. We really wanted to like the place. My guest had been to a Trader Vic's years ago and was really looking forward to dinner. I, unfortunately, can't recommend Trader Vic's based on my experience.
Always love Trader Vic’s. Great decoration which totally sets the night off, and amazing food from the wood fire oven and the mai Thais really are the best
Over priced for basically a Hawaiian themed Applebees. Had hi expectations for husband birthday even made simple request on through this sight about desert for him and it wasn't done and to be honest I don't even think they were aware of the request at all, so it was a waste of time. Thumbs down!
I booked a table for 6 for my daughter’s post-university graduation celebration. Service was impeccable and friendly, decor is fabulously kitsch, and the food was great!! Sadly, the price was also great(ly high) but it *is* Trader Vic’s and *is* in a convention hotel. We’ll definitely be dining there again!
Rena our server was friendly and efficient. It’s on the pricey side ($350 with tip for 8 people) but it’s okay.
The Mai Tai is excellent and our food was too. A little put off by a missing host / hostess upon our arrival. Had reservations and it took 5 to 10 minutes before we were ever seen or acknowledged by the staff.
Outdated decor and Smokey from indoor fire. However food very good and service was very good. If you at Hilton and want good food with Hawaiian feel but kitschy ambiance. this is a good choice. Hotel needs entire revamp but decent overall.
the waitress was rude and unattentive could barely understand her!
Miss the bigger egg rolls and red sauce!!!!
Food was delicious, but pricey. The drinks were classic but VERY sweet (and thus hangover inducing). But sweet drinks are kind of their thing, so you should know what you’re in for.
We had a group of 7 and had a fantastic time. Our hostess and servers were informative and attentive. It was our fist visit and we loved the Polynesian decor so decided to take some pictures, the staff was so accommodating and fun, they opened areas that were closed (it was near closing time). The food was amazing and the drinks were great too. We will definitely go back next time we are in Atlanta.
Absolutely the best restaurant in Atlanta.
There is a reason this has been open 42 years . Perfect !
Not the cuisine I recall from many years ago. Menu far too limited and food was average at best. Wish I had just selected a variety of appetizers - the 2 my guest and I shared were the best part of the meal . Entrees were most disappointing. Will not seek a walk down memory lane again at the Atlanta Trader Vic’s. Such a let down.
I took my customers here because I have been there before, years ago. The food and atmosphere were great although one steak out of 10 meals came out MR and should have been MW. The appetizers were all spot on. The service was awful. We had to ask for everything, the server never asked us if we wanted a drink it was us asking. She had too many tables for one person. Back in the day the service was so much better. I’m not sure what happened. We were also seated next to an empty room which was not a good site for us. They should have put up curtains or a folding wall to hide that room. The other thing is she never came back to say “how is everything?” after serving our food (apps and dinner). This was disappointing. I’m not sure I will ever take my customers there again.
How many ways can I say I hated it:
1) Ribs were tougher than an elephants hide.
2) Kung Pao Chicken is better at any fast food Asian place!
3) Pork Chop was over cooked and noodles, undercooked and it came after the rest of our party was finished!
4) Could not understand one word out of our servers mouth
5) COMPLETELY OVERPRICED!
6) Long wait!
7) Wish I had walked away like I wanted to when I saw the menu prices!
8) Bathrooms were meh!
9) Ambiance was meh and even though there were 50 tables open- they sat us right next to a huge, loud party of about 15. Maybe they wanted us to sit next to the beautiful outdoor garden area that wasn’t beautiful or outdoors with a pond that wasn’t working!
10) Just when I was about to finish my experience, they bus boy took my food before I was finished...but it was ok...it wasn’t good anyway!
Best thing about this place was the peanut butter and Melba-toast-type bread for appetizer!
Don’t waste your money! Go to Panda Express instead!
The Bahia is fantastic! Great setting and ambience, wonderful food as well. Recommended!
Incredibly calm evening with amazing food. Not too crowded that night, so my girlfriend and I could talk and eat in peace. The staff kept saying Happy anniversary and gave us a free dessert.
It was wonderful 60th Birthday celebration
This was my first time at Trader Vic's and it was such a delightful experience! Great service, good food and a cool ambiance. I will be back!
They ran out of pineapples for our Mia Tias. Also took 10-15 min to get our table... however... we will be back. We love Mia Tias.
The food was fabulous along with the atmosphere. It's worth the wait!
We have not been to a Trader Vic's in decades. We had a nice meal in wonderful surroundings and the service was quite good.
Birthday dinner for my Husband, the seating wasn’t appropriate intimate dinner. The hostess was not very attentive to that fact. The drinks were decent. Parking was paid for by validation so that was a plus.
Been here about four or five times. It looks slightly pricy, but the food is worth it, and the ambiance makes you forget you are in the lower level of a big downtown Hilton.
We had a party of five. No requests for anything different on the menu. Three of us received our meals and were able to finish our meals before the other two meals shows up. We asked to cancel the other two meals and they insisted that they were almost done we should take them to go. It wasn’t another five minutes. They brought two appetizers to hold the others over till their food got there, which they weren’t hungry for after getting appetizers. The service was poor, no manager came over to apologize and the food was just ok, which for the price...is not ok.
Kitchen closed an hour early and could not order and food
Great tiki vibes. Delicious and boozy drinks! Large space with lots of seating options - very intimate.
The band was so much fun. Great night I will remember for a long time.
The food was served cold and the prices are too high. However, the drinks were good.
Food need to be hotter, hot toddies need to be hotter. Meats need salt prior to cooking , especially fish and beef.
Otherwise we like it and will go back
One of the classics, still one of the best!
Food was awf ul for what we paid.
Way over priced.
My husband ordered the steak and potatoes.
Potatoes were under cooked and food was cold had to send back.My fried rice was cold and crunchy. My seafood mix was bland.I could go on.
I will never come back.
