Server was great, bit slow only because she had to wait on a large party. Mai tai was so good.

As a Tiki aficionado, I'm always excited to go to Trader Vics, but over the last few years (even before Covid) the experience is always lacking. This particular night, we were bringing 2 new people for the first time. The hostess did not seem to know what was going on, and couldn't seem to coordinate those waiting with reservations (maybe say, "would you like to wait in the bar while we get your table ready??) there was also confusion over some take-out orders. took us 45 minutes to get seated with drinks. Our server (when she had time for us) was great, but they always seem to be understaffed, even during convention weekends and crowded nights, and they seem to serve everything in pint glasses now. Where are the iconic mugs & glasses?? Food was great, but the menu is cut WAY down due to Covid. I do hope the PuPu Platter comes back AND the flaming Bananas Foster!

Pretty much the best place on the planet! Great food & drinks & atmosphere (of course). One of a kind. They are being very careful during COVID & it's a huge space, so it's safe to go. Everything is outstanding & it's such a unique, vintage/historic establishment. Definitely worth a trip. There are very few places like it in the world and it's the only place like it in the South.

The best special occasion restaurant in Atlanta. Great food, fun drinks, wonderful staff....Atlanta’s only traditional tiki environment. Get a room at the Hilton and make a weekend of it!

Our family has gone there for many years! We should have known not to go with the condensed menu. 5 entree’s!!! And we waited for our food and it came out cold! If you are going to have a limited menu get it out hot and perfect. It was from the freezer section of Trader Joe’s not from the kitchen of the renowned Trader Vics!! Very disappointed for the 450$ we spent for 7 people!!!!we were very upset!!!

Me and my wife have been coming to trader Vic’s since 17’. It’s our favorite tiki themed restaurant. The food and drinks are outstanding. We love key as our server, so we ask for him everytime we go.

Only drawback to a great evening was the new menu. No ribs, morel mushroom dip, and no bananas foster. After the disappointment of all the food items I wanted temporarily gone. I decided on the house fried rice, and wings. (super delicious)

Even though Trader Vic's just reopened after being closed for months due to the pandemic, the atmosphere, food, and drinks were all as good as before. Be aware that they are offering a limited menu now (which seems consistent with the menu posted here on OpenTable right now,) but there are still plenty of choices.

I had the Miso Salmon and it was great - very flavorful and nicely presented. I also tasted the Hanger Steak. I wouldn't hesitate to get either dish on a return visit. Drinks were strong, delicious, and beautifully presented as usual.

COVID-19 precautions were being taken. Everyone wore masks, the menus were available either via a QR code or a disposable printout, and I observed plenty of sanitization of surfaces between guests. Bar seating was limited.

My boyfriend left his credit card behind, and before he even realized it was missing, the manager called our hotel room at the Hilton and brought it up to us.

Basically long story short this place is to be avoided at all cost. Never had a server Or anyone even approach us within the first 20 minutes of sitting at our table. The restaurant was absolutely completely empty. The entrance to the restaurant was covered in trash, smelled like marijuana and overall a huge disappointment. We were in from out of town celebrating a friends birthday and we’re excited to check this place out, however I will make sure that no one I know in the future EVER dines at this restaurant.

From the moment we arrived to a wonderful “ALOHA” as we walked in, to the moment we left, we were full of gratitude! Trader Vic’s is our absolute favorite restaurant in Atlanta, and they never disappoint! The ambiance, the drinks, the food, the staff! We are thrilled that they are open again!

This is my usual go-to place. Typically, the service is amazing. I was extremely disappointed on this occasion. First, the menu lacks many of the items that were available pre-COVID. None of the usual smoked products this place is known for were available. Second, the service was a disaster. The manager, I think his name is Maurice, visited a couples table several times to check on their experience. Not once did he visit my table. I could speculate as to why but I won’t. I mentioned this to him and he basically blew me and my guest off. Giving several excuses but doing/saying nothing to rectify the issue. This was definitely not my expected experience considering that I have been sort of a human advertisement for this place. Lastly, the parking attendants wouldn’t recognize my validated parking ticket upon leaving. They rudely asserted that no one there could verify that I had actually eaten at the restaurant. I will no longer recommend this place to anyone. Horrible experience.

Trader Vic's was a fun ride back into the Tiki culture of the 1940s and 50s. The food was delicious and the drinks were fantastic. The overall price tag was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but with the service and the camaraderie, a great evening was had. So not a cheap night out, but a fun environment. This one is in the bottom of a hotel so you have to go inside the hotel and take the main elevator to the basement to step back in time.

What a cultural and historic gem, tucked away in downtown Atlanta! The ambiance is mesmerizing, transporting guests to the South Pacific as it was imagined by Trader Vic in the mid 70s. The food is delicious and plentiful. And the drinks are the main attraction—the origin of so many tropical favorites. Everything was wonderful.
