Service excellent and food excellent! Can’t say enough about how well we were taken care of and the food and cocktails were perfect! Thank you for a wonderful evening for a friends birthday experience and first time visit at Trader Vic’s.
Really enjoyed it and I liked that I was able to see my food being cooked in the wood-fired oven. Got the rack of lamb and it was really tender and delicious.
Bartender's was great. Drinks was delicious. For the first time my husband ask for a special drink and he wasn't offered a long island. Staff was pleasant and kept it fun. Food was fantastic. Husband truly enjoyed salmon and asparagus. They were out of chicken wings so next time I'll have to try. Decorations and environment was awesome. Little on the expensive side. We will be going back.
Always love going here! Foods great, drinks are amazing and the people are always friendly.
Trader Vic's was a great time for my birthday! They can accommodate small or large groups very comfortably. We had great attentive service and the food and beverages well awesome!
It saddens me greatly to write because typically I would direct my complaints to managers. I'm not sure what's going on with the restaurant but while the decor is still engaging and the steak was delicious.. the $21 platter for two was tasteless bland and limited. There was no word of acknowledgement of the guest whose birthday had been noted in the reservation in advance and the drinks were not served to The Birthday Guy in the coconut… We were told that "they only had a few of them". The server was efficient but not warm, the overall $200 per person experience could have been held in any chain restaurant. Given the fact the birthday guy absolutely loves the restaurant, is a Tiki fanatic, held his previous wedding and reception there, I brought a party of ten to his previous birthday tgere and he brings tons of people there for dinners and Dragon Con, it was disheartening. Maybe an off night but we left there sad about our visit after years of loyal patronage. P.S. I will say the Mai Tai was still a treat.
They make excellent drinks without alcohol. But the server warned me some were very sweet. She steered me to on that was just right.
From the time you walk through the door to the end of your meal, the excellent food, superb team of servers and the unbelievably well designed decor will take you away from the hustle and stress of the city.
Fun birthday dinner!!
Awesome does not even begin to describe the food at Trader Vic's. The smell enticed us from the minute we walked off the elevator. The peanut butter served with the crackers was a welcome change from "rolls & butter". The sampler platter we ordered as an appetizer would have easily been a meal for one. The pork was so moist and tender, I wished I had ordered it as the entree. But then our server brought out my bacon-wrapped scallops (as big as a baby's fist!) and my husband's lamb and that was the end of polite conversation. We were in gastronomical heaven!! No room for dessert but who needed it after that meal. The best meal I've had in a long time. Thanks, TV. You pushed all the right buttons.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly and our waiter Rene was energetic and easy to converse with.
My husband and I were in Hawaii last year, and our visit to Trader Vic’s made us feel like we were back...with even better food! Wonderful ambiance, warm and friendly staff, fabulous food - and mai tais, too!
I went alone the first night then went right back the next night after bragging about the food to my coworkers. We loved it.
Food was fantastic
Wonderfully place for groups. Great cocktails and Linda our server was outstanding.
The bartender and the waiter we had were very serious and seemed like they were not enjoying the job, such nice place need the crew to be more dynamic and friendly. Also, it was very quiet around the bar when we walked in, a little bit of background music doesn’t hurt for such fun theme. Drinks were amazing, we had the Mai Tai. The food was good too, we got the chef’s fried rice and the hanger steak.
We Love visiting Trader Vic's every trip to the Americas Mart. One of our favorite places in Atl.
Seated immediately, friendly host. Waiter was kind and attentive. Fried rice is the best I’ve ever eaten! My dinner guest filet needed seasoning before being placed on grill. It was my guest birthday and I made a reservation and made the Trader Vic aware of the birthday and no one came over to help me celebrate! No biggies! The drinks were delicious and refreshing.
Love it! A classic!
Expensive and a bit more of touristy than
of quality food.
Food is amazing. Service is very slow.
The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for!
Loved it. Look forward to returning as soon as possible.
Every wwas soo good. The drink food people the manerger was great
We had a great time. I am nostalgic for the whole Hawaiian tiki vibe from the 70’s and this place really hit the mark. The spare ribs were awesome! The filet was good if not great. The MaiTai’s were very strong if not a bit sweet. The service was excellent, we did not like our original seat and they were very accommodating. Overall we had a great time! We would definitely come back for the kitsch and nostalgia, if not the food.
Staff were amazing, but food is mediocre at best. The fork tender ribs we couldn’t even chew off the bone with our teeth. Small portions and bland for the most part. Only saving grace were the Mai Tais, garlic spinach and chocolate cake. Atmosphere is a bit tired, could use some updating for a more upscale, modern Tahitian feel. Staff were great with my kids and very attentive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Trader Vic's, celebrating our 18th Anniversary!
Overall we had a nice experience and our server Rena was great!. However she we spread thin (she needed more help) food service was slow. We waited close to an hour for our food but when we received it, it was very good.
It was like being in Hawaii without the expensive plane ticket. The food was delicious as were the drinks, and our server was wonderful! It’s pretty pricey though running us at $135 for two adults and one kid before tax, but it was well worth it for the experience. We were there for Father’s Day for my husband as this was on his bucket list.
Absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing, our server was outstanding and everyone we encountered was very friendly. Do not miss the bananas foster cooked table side!
Salad was not fresh and hearts of palm was from a can
Amazing food and atmosphere! A truly special place to visit.
Love this place. My fav go to resto when I lived in the UAE.
The food was outstanding and the ambiance was fun!
Night at the theater
Loved it!! Atmosphere, service and food was outstanding!!! Definitely will be back!!
Son’s 16th. Also we are native Atlantans but had never been. The restaurant was not busy. Wait staff seemed less than enthused & certainly didn’t make the occasion special. The lobster I had was the literal worst I’ve ever had. Anywhere. Cocktails were nice. Som’s steak was good but very undercooked. Disappointing. Especially for his big day.
The host greeted us from the door and gave us a warm welcome and history of the restaurant found us a great romantic spot for our anniversary. Our waitress Rena was awesome extremely attentive to all needs and requests. The food was great and a good value for the price.
Setting was nicely themed, food was great, and drinks were well made. Interior is old and whole restaurant runs a bit cold. But service was great and it is a special historical site for Tiki culture. It is very expensive!
First time there.everything was very good !!
