Unexpectedly great food!! There was a DJ playing in the lounge bar below which made it a bit loud.
We had a reservation and the restaurant didn't bother to tell us it had closed due to weather. We came to the restaurant in inclement conditions and would have otherwise made different dining plans. A simple courtesy notification would have been expected. Very poor customer service.
Great service & food was delicious ! Will be visiting again very soon !
Service was ok.... Food was ok... Loved the decor. Really nice with the pillows. I was expecting the food to fresh and good. Our fries looked like they were borderline burnt and bottom of barrel. We had to wait a few mins to even be noticed and seated.
Very limited menu
Not as advertised. Hotel restaurant trying to pass as farm to table. Say all the right things on the site, but don't deliver in the restaurant.
The food presentation was better than the actual taste. Service was good but only one server. Nice view of the city and opportunities to enjoy the city's night life.
The portion size on the "Starter" items equals entree size. I ordered two thinking they would be small and I couldn't eat it all because the servings were plentiful. Everything was very good.
the seating area was very cute, we sat in the elevated booth area with lots of pillows. Great lighting from large windows, the shrimp and grits were good, a little lacking on the shrimp, but liked the addition of the egg
Warm welcome and flawless service.
Creative presentation on the plate and food are delicious.
Thank you for the wonderful time.
This place should not be tucked away on the second floor of a hotel- food, decor, service are all top notch and TRACE deserves an equal, physical presence with the other fine establishments in the immediate area. After immersing yourself in the fine arts scene, bypass the restaurants that you can see (and have to wait for a table) and head inside the W for this gem.
Mothers Day Brunch! All entries were overcooked! Enough said!
The service here was absolutely horrible. It was like we were not even there. Also,
the food took forever. I made the mistake of thinking the buffet was ready at 1000 when it was actually 1100. We ordered our food around 1015 and it did not come out until 1100. We could have just waiting for the buffet all along. The food was actually pretty good when it actually came but I will not go back here again.
Read some reviews that were critical but we had excellent meal with attentive service. Excellent location and interesting decor. Doesn't seem to be drawing crowd it deserves
We had a great overall experience here. It was very sparsely populated but that made it nice and quiet, and the service was spot on. Food was inventive, very flavorful, and everything was cooked well.
TRACE was amazing. My husband and I made reservations, but we arrived early and was seated immediately. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the atmosphere was incredible. The table we sat at was very comfortable. We both can't wait to go again.
Parking and finding out how to get into the hotel was a nightmare. When I originally booked this place I didn't know it was in the hotel. Food was ok, not great. Server was great despite everything else that the restaurant was lacking.
We arrived for an early dinner to celebrate my moms birthday, but we're running 10 minutes late. We called six times before anyone answered. We arrived and there were only 7 other tables. There was no hostess to greet us and the bartender didn't help initially, but after a minute of standing around awkwardly, he sat us. It was 20 minutes before I got up to try and find a waiter. I found one, and apparently she was the only one for all seven tables. On a Saturday night. Eventually we got our drinks and orders taken, but everything was incredibly slow. Food and drinks were just ok when we eventually got them.
I hardly ever leave reviews, but this was a particularly bad experience.
Restaurant was fairly quiet for a Wednesday night but Jessica took excellent care of us. Will definitely come back on future trips to Atlanta. Keep up the good work!
The bartender was rude and gossiped about me and my party before we arrived. He had no idea some of my party had arrived and was listening to him talk. When we arrived we asked to be seated he said we couldn't be seated without our party. He then went on to lecture us in a very condescending and saracastic tone. I advised him that he was being rude and he became argumentative. My friend confirmed this and we left. It was just unprofessional how he behaved....it was my birthday.
Waited too long for apps then entree came while we were in the middle of eating the apps. Sent those back until we were done with apps and when entrees came again, it was clear that they had simply stuck it under a heat lamp. The grouper was dry and crispy and the risotto was crunchy. The wine tasted liked vinegar. Very disappointing! So , I spent $150 for a salad and 2 apps. Won't be back.
Great ambiance, excellent wine, good food. A good place to come before attending the Atlanta Symphony or a play at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre (an easy walk away). That's what we did, and we all enjoyed it.
Friendly, but empty so there was zero buzz. I felt like a hotel restaurant, oh wait it was. Food was quite good but very limited in choice. Not recommended.
Everyone here is very friendly. I think they were low on staff. Our table wasn't ready so we sat at the bar for 20 min without getting drinks until the very end. Our waiter took an appetizer order that didn't come until right before our food was served. We also didn't get water poured until our main entrees arrived. We ordered drinks that came late. The charcuterie appetizer is delicious. I had the ribs which are tasty but a bit on the firm side. I asked for a toilette for my hands - never came. Everyone else enjoyed the food - fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the service was noticeably deficient.
Service was very slow wouldn't recommend if you are in a hurry. Took almost 30 minutes to settle the bill
Food was better than it had been before, but still pretty heavy (lots of fried stuff). We had two vegetarians and options were fairly limited as was the wine list (really should go beyond California!). However, nice waitress, really tasty salads and flavorful entrees made for a fun evening.
Service was amazing here!! We had a great time. The food was also great.
The food was very good and the atmosphere is lovely
Great restaurant for business as the food is moderately portioned and the service is great!
Enjoyed the rarely offered brunch they had on New Years day. The staff was very kind and friendly and took care of us.
The pimento Mac and cheese was excellent as was the lamb!
Great service; food was average to above average; limited wine list
Great location and perfect for any event at Woodruff Arts or High Art museum.
This was our first visit to Trace and it was quite disappointing. Unlike some of the other reviews, our service was VERY good. Our server was very attentive and understood that we were in a rush to make a show and she made every effort to get our food order quickly, while not seeming rushed. My issue with Trace was the food itself. The Shrimp and grits were extremely runny and lacked any taste. The grilled redfish was dry. The pimento mac n cheese was also very dry and lacked any real taste of pimento. Unfortunately, there are too many other choices in this area of Midtown so we won't be back.
Wonderful food everything was a "10" food-wise except for the ribs which where far too salty. The kale salad, lamb, Mac and cheese and drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing and romantic. We will return.
The restaurant is situated inside a hip hotel (The W) so the 1st impression is set by the owners of the space. Smart!
Wonderful food and experience - far exceeded our expectations! Great pre-concert/theater spot.
I enjoyed my meal here. The service was great and it was very quiet and comfortable. I did enjoy the Springer MT Chicken. It was just enough food. The drink menu was very nice also.
Great experience - Service was excellent, the food was excellent, couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner for my wife.
The Sunday brunch had few options and there was not enough food coming from the kitchen to meet the demand. They were out of quiche. The service was good from the wait staff.
